I spent 3 hours here and could very easily have spent far longer. Fascinating permant exhibition Combining the visit with a tasting worked well even though I had to buy my own apéro snacks. Had I known I would have brought some with me. Gluten free options were very few

Musée moderne dans son architecture, esthétique et pratique pour naviguer de salle en salle. Des animations variées, ludiques mêlant commentaires documentés et mises en scènes attractives. Très riche dans ses apports, le musée amène aussi à des expériences innovantes et interactives avec notamment son parcours olfactif. La vue depuis le belvédère et la dégustation clôturent la visite en beauté.

We were at Cité du Vin all day — from 10:30 to 5:00. The films were great. The exhibits were informative. And the addition of a winetasting at a reasonable price turned out to be a highlight in a room with 360 degree films. Lots of fun, highly informative, recommended to wine lovers and novices alike.

Per la citta" del vino avevamo grandi aspettative e sono state superate, accoglienza perfetta e visita interna davvero suggestiva. Si vede la cura in ogni dettaglio. Se passate da Bordeaux, mettetelo in lista. Noi ci siamo trovati benissimo.

Entry was smooth organised and simple. We enjoyed the wine themed furniture the audio guide and the opportunity to sit and watch multiple video sessions. The aroma area was particularly interesting. A great glass of wine was had at the top with views over the city. Nice wine shop on site and a souvenir store. All in all a comprehensive experience - would recommend it to anyone visiting bordeaux

Tasting at the Belvedere

Wrap up your self-guided tour at the Belvedere, located on the 8th floor, 35 meters above ground. From here, take in a 360° panoramic view of Bordeaux and its surroundings. After soaking in the stunning vistas, indulge in local specialties from Bordeaux and beyond, as you reflect on the rich knowledge and cultural insights you’ve gained during your visit.

This experience is suitable for wheelchair users and pram/stroller users.

The entire building is accessible to guests with reduced mobility, visual and hearing impairments, and intellectual disabilities.

Guide dogs are allowed.

This experience may include tasting sessions of regional blends. Availability is subject to age restrictions and local laws. Please carry valid ID and drink responsibly.

Operating Hours

It's advised to preferably visit the museum in the morning to make the most of your visit. This self-guided tour takes approximately 1 to 3 hours to complete.

Visitors can have real-time access to the occupancy rate of the Permanent Exhibition on the Affluences website or through the Affluences application, which can be downloaded for free on the Apple Store or Google Play. This application will also provide you with the predicted occupancy rate for the upcoming hours.

Closes on 24 Dec at 4pm and closed for visits on 25 Dec.
