Begin your day at the meeting point in Toulouse, where a tourist coach will take you directly to Carcassonne. Upon arrival, use the free shuttle service from the bus parking to the city entrance. Download your audio guide in your preferred language to start your self-paced discovery.

This self-guided day trip offers the freedom to explore Carcassonne’s walled city at your own pace, with commentary from your audio guide. As you move through narrow alleys and stone archways, uncover stories of medieval life, sieges, and strategic defenses that shaped the citadel.

This experience may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility due to cobbled streets and uneven surfaces in Carcassonne.

Additional information

Entrance fees to tourist sites such as the Comtal Castle and Saint Nazaire Basilica are not included in the tour price.

Free entry to the Comtal Castle is available for children under 18, 18–25 year olds from EU countries, disabled persons and their companions, and during Heritage Days with valid proof.

Registration is required on the website before arriving at the departure point.

Check-in is at 9:15am; departure from Toulouse is at 9:30am. Return from Carcassonne is at 4:30pm.

Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled time of your tour to avoid any delays.
