This whale watching tour was absolutely amazing! The crew was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. They answered so many of our questions and gave us a much deeper understanding of whales and their behavior throughout the trip. They shared fascinating information and stories from their experience, and they made sure to spend plenty of time in the areas where whales were spotted so everyone had the chance to fully enjoy the experience. I never felt rushed, and it was clear that they wanted everyone to have the best possible tour. I had a fantastic five hours on the boat with this wonderful crew, and I’m truly grateful for all their hard work and enthusiasm. Thank you to the entire team for making this such a memorable experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone considering a whale watching trip!

We went whale watching this morning, and it was hands down the highlight of our trip! We were lucky enough to see so many whales from several different species. The crew goes above and beyond to make the experience special. They provided excellent explanations throughout the tour and took the time to answer every single question with genuine enthusiasm. Plus, the boat ride was so smooth that none of us got seasick at all. If you are doubting whether to book, just do it. It is absolutely worth every penny!

We were so lucky to see two pairs of mother and calf humpback whales! Both pairs swam peacefully alongside our boat, giving us plenty of time to watch them closely. Seeing their tails dive into the ocean was beautiful, but we were especially amazed when a calf rolled over, slapped its body with its flippers a few times, and made a vocal sound! By the end of the tour, my two elementary school-aged sons had completely fallen in love with whales. This became an unforgettable memory for our family.

We had an exceptional day whale watching -- seeing 16 -20 whales including a baby that took a little nap! While that might not be the norm, the information provided by the staff about whales, islands, the original Native American inhabitants was interesting. Interns also circulated to answer questions. The captain skillfully made sure all sides of the boat could view surfacing whales. It was a 5-star day Ill long remember!

Seeing the whales was absolutely magical and unforgettable! It was an incredible experience to watch these amazing animals up close. The service on the boat was outstanding—everything was very well organized, the narration was informative and engaging, and the boat was spotless. The crew, boat and onsite experience was exceptional. The booking/refund admin experience, not so much. We had one person drop out and instead of refunding one ticket, we had to cancel and rebook for all of us, meaning that we couldn't get the same day/time originally planned. They certainly need to fix their booking issues but the event staff was on point in every way. Def worth every penny spent.

The amount of information provided about the whales including the whales names and how they got their names. Of course I really enjoyed the amount of whale sightings.

The crew new where to go to find the whale's, Seen 20 humpback and 5 seals. The captain stayed a little longer, said he was having fun watching also.

Getting started

Meet your crew at the boarding point mentioned on your ticket. After a quick security scan, head to the high-speed catamaran. Departure is from One Long Wharf, located between the Long Wharf Marriott Hotel and the New England Aquarium.

What to expect

Enjoy the luxuries of the boat—spacious outdoor observation decks and climate-controlled indoor cabins furnished with big windows, cushioned seats, tables, state-of-the-art audio and video systems, and a snack counter where you can purchase snacks and drinks.

Live guide: The tour is led by a naturalist from the New England Aquarium, who will answer all your (relevant) questions and help you better understand & appreciate the marine ecosystem.

Boston harbor views: As you speed across the Massachusetts coastal waters, you can spot landmarks such as Castle Island and Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park before reaching your destination—Stellwagen Bank Marine Sanctuary.
