The meeting point is located 30 minutes from the heart of Brisbane. You can drive from Brisbane, or even take the train or bus to the meeting point. Once you arrive at the meeting point, you will meet Graeme Day, the owner and chief pilot of the hot air balloon. With over 30 years of ballooning experience, his passion for ballooning is infectious.
Once the hot air balloon is all set up early in the morning, you can get on to start your flight adventure. Soak in stunning views of the Great Dividing Range mountains, Scenic Rim, the Brisbane skyline and the Somerset countryside. You can enjoy informative and entertaining commentary by your pilot, as you learn about the area and enjoy soaring through the sky. Don’t forget to take some photographs of your memorable experience.
After the 1-hour flight experience, you can enjoy breakfast and coffee with upgraded tickets.

The meeting time is 45 minutes before sunrise, which may vary from 4 AM in summer to 6 AM in winter. Please check the schedule to know the exact timings for the selected date.

- This experience is not wheelchair accessible.
- This experience is not suitable for pregnant women, children under six years of age, and those under 3 feet 9 inches(120 cm).
- Free car parking is available at the Ipswich Visitor Information Centre.
