This cruise was very fun and informative! I have been to Chicago many times, but have never done the Architecture cruise before. While I found many boats to choose from when researching, I selected First Lady because of it's affliliation with the Architecture Center, the great reviews , it's point of embarkation, and the fact that noone under the age of 12 was permitted on the ship. While I love kids, this is more of an adult venture in my opinion. Buying the tickets on line was easy and I downloaded the Headout app so that my tickets would pop right up on my phone when i needed them. When we arrived at the dock, there were many people to assist us. We needed to get physical tickets at the ticket window, but ther was no line. We selectred the first cruise of the day at 9:00 am as it looked the least busy and it was goiing to be a beautiful day. It was a wise choice! The docent was amazing. Her knowledge of the buildings, history and funny anctidotes was engaging. We got a seat on the top level for a great view of the river and buildings. The chairs are a metal and a bit uncomfortable to be in for 1.5 hours, but I had a sweatshirt along and sat on that. To my surprise, there were several young children on the boat, but they were well behaved and did not detract from our ability to hear the docent. Next time, I may choose a later afternoon time so that we can enjoy a beverage as we cruise!

The location was easy to find. There were enough guides waiting our arrival to direct us to the proper loading dock. The safety instructions by the Captain were understandable and concise. And the docent or "river guide" was absolutly phenominal. His knowledge of the cityscape architecture, knowledge of Chicago's history, and ability to present all of these facts with such fluidity was superb. As this was our first visit to Chicago, my wife and I learned so much about the city during this 1.5 hour cruise. We definitely recommend the First Lady Architecture Cruise to any visitor of Chicago.

On behalf of the DePaul University Study Abroad Team, we would like to say our tour guide was AMAZING. It was incredibly heartening to hear that she was volunteering her time to give weekly tours as a Chicago local. She was funny, witty, & has great storytelling skills. I am looking forward to reading her book about Chicago. I can't wait to do another architecture tour with my family!

It was extremely easy to find and board. My tickets were digital so the attendant told me I needed to get them printed at the box office then we headed to gate 2. The docent was very knowledgeable and easy to hear. Every seat on the deck had a clear view of all the sights. I learned a lot of history about Chicago and how the water way evolved through the years. I loved it!

Tgis was our 5th or 6th visit to Chicago but first time taking the architecture cruise. The architecture cruise on My First Lady was wonderful. The docent was incredible- so knowledgeable about the history of the buildings and city of Chicago. There is so much beautiful architecture that is worthwhile seeing on the River cruise. Highly recommend!

We had lovely weather, great parking in the lot nearby, and a wonderful docent. I enjoyed learning about Chicago history and the architects' intentions and influences. Everything about the experience was interesting and very worthwhile. My out of town friend was quite impressed. I will be back with my family next time!

Rehberimiz Claudia MUHTEŞEMDİ! Sadece bilgili olmakla kalmadı, aynı zamanda bilgileri ve tarihi de büyük bir coşkuyla anlattı. Binaların çeşitliliği, gizli köşeleri ve tasarımcıları karşısında heyecanlanmamak ve etkilenmemek imkansızdı. Kesinlikle kaçırılmaması gereken bir tur!
