I went with my husband and our two teens—total blast! The guides were so chill and explained everything without making it boring. The snowmobiles looked intimidating at first but tbh once you get going, it’s just FUN. Stopping on the lake was the highlight, the silence and the snow everywhere, kinda surreal. We got hot chocolate after (yum), though the campfire was crowded since everyone wanted to get warm at once. Only thing: changing rooms are tiny so if ur with a bunch, expect some awkward elbowing. Def bring thick socks, my toes froze a bit.

This tour exceeded our expectations! By far the best snowmobile tour i had ever taken so far! We also asked them if there possibility they can provide us with no pork options for food and they arranged it! We had an amazing time and our leader was the best😍 We went into the woods and then on a frozen lake all with the snowmobile and later we had this amazing BBQ at the camp. Amazing daytrip! Definitely will do it again and again!

Loved the actual snowmobiling part but not gonna lie, the wait at the beginning was a drag. Our guide, Lukas, was super patient with us newbies. Ride through the forest was sooo pretty, but we kept getting stuck behind slow riders. BBQ at the end = needed, but ran out of marshmallows quick (kids not happy lol). Still, would go again if groups were a bit smaller.

Family of four here (kids 8 & 12). They made us feel safe, explained everything, and even helped my youngest with the helmet straps (she got frustrated and started crying—thanks, Anna!). The drive on the frozen lake was magical. We even saw reindeer in the distance. Overalls kept us warm, but gloves were thin, so double up if you can. BBQ after was a fun touch.

Spend about an hour exploring private forest and tundra trails, led by your expert guide who will share fascinating insights about Lapland’s nature, wildlife, and local culture.

Finish with a cozy Lapland BBQ

Conclude your adventure around a crackling fire with a traditional Lapland BBQ. Warm up with grilled sausages and hot drinks while soaking in the serene Arctic surroundings. Afterward, return by bus to the meeting point in Rovaniemi.

What to bring

Carry a valid photo ID or passport that matches the name on your booking.

To operate a snowmobile, you must have a Class B driving license; passengers don’t need one.

Since you’ll be out in true Arctic conditions, dress in warm layers to stay comfortable.

Waterproof, insulated winter boots are highly recommended for snowy terrain.

What’s not allowed

Pets, baby strollers, and mobility scooters, as they aren’t suitable for the snowy Arctic environment.

Large suitcases, bulky bags, or oversized luggage.

Alcohol, drugs, or participating while intoxicated at any point during the tour.

Smoking anywhere on the experience, including during meal or BBQ breaks.

Fireworks or anything that could disturb the quiet wilderness.

No littering please.

This activity is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Additional information

The experience begins at the Arctic GM office on Valtakatu 26 Arrive at least 15 minutes early so that you have plenty of time to change and prepare.

Should any damage occur, the driver is liable for costs up to €950 per snowmobile, per person.

Children under 6 cannot participate. Those under 15 will travel safely in a sled pulled by the guide, while guests aged 15+ and at least 140 cm tall may ride as passengers. All participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The tour may be postponed or canceled if weather conditions become unsafe.

Your gear is covered: helmets, thermal overalls, boots, and a full safety briefing are all included before you set off.
