The view from the Gornergrat is breathtaking! Train ride also with many beautiful views. Train was unfortunately very full! We were given priority on the uphill journey due to our booking.

The scenery was breathtaking! We definitely recommend taking this journey to the top! On our day the Ice Palace was closed for maintenance and the sound system in the Cinema Lounge area wasn't working. Fortunately there was plenty of scenery all around to take in!

Thanks to the online ticket, I was able to board the train without having to wait or queue. A seat on the right-hand side of the train was perfect for the view of the Matterhorn and the magnificent landscape. There is something for everyone up at the top station, and there are also easily accessible viewpoints. The whole excursion was of course characterized by the good weather and the good view of the Matterhorn and the Gornegrat glacier.
