Pick up from hotel was very good in a private car. The drive takes about 1 hour and we stopped to change some money for the bat cave. We had about 20 people on our boat. It was a long speed boat, some times the driver goes st top speed but no-one gets wet and it cools you down. The tour didn't feel rushed. We did the afternoon tour and were the only ones who had paid for lunch to be included. The lunch wasn't till about 3.30pm so if you get hungry take some snacks. Lunch was very basic and we can buy drinks or take your own water is fine. Overall a great tour, well organised and safe and glad we did it

we had a problem with not being picked up from the hotel in the morning. It was not possible to contact the Headout agency, only through artificial intelligence, and I was able to resolve the problem only with the local agency that organized the trip for Headout. However, I had to find the contact for this agency myself on the internet, which was very stressful and lengthy. The trip was eventually moved to the afternoon, in the end, despite the initial stress, we were satisfied.

That we got to visit the beautiful UNESCO Geopark at Kilim and learn about the amazing wildlife, scenery, geography and local culture. The experienced boat captain was skilful, entertaining and knowledgeable. One thing that wasn't accurately communicated was the type of lunch provided at the floating fish farm. A bigger menu was advertised on Headout vs what was provided (see photo).

Being on a boat which was shared with other tourists was much more economical than having to get a "private boat" for only the 2 of us. Also it was a good experience to be together with other people on this fantastic trip and our guide was very experienced and he gave interesting information in well understandable English.

The entire experience of the mangrove tour was exhilarating. We saw eagles, monkeys, monitor lizards, bats and a variety of hills and flora. We also witnessed a huge shark and horsetail crab at the fish farm whhich was super exciting. 10/10 recommended. The only caveat was the tour guide. We are not able to hear the guide properly all the time at the back of the boat. Second, he told us to come back from bat cave in 15 minutes but we returned probably 10 minutes later than that, only to find everyone else already seated in the boat. He made a snarky comment for us being late and inconsiderate for other people's time. Then, he did a similar thing in the fish farm where he asked us to be back in 30-35 minutes but most people returned in 20 minutes so he cut our experience short as we were interacting with the crabs. The trip was supposed to be fo 3 hours but all this rush reduced the time to 2.5 hours. As much as I understand to be considerate of other people's time (for which I had apologised profusely to the other people in the boat), I have paid for the experience so I should be able to enjoy it accordingly. If most people are bored by something, doesn't mean all will be too. Anyway, highly recommend the trip but without our instructor.
