Ascend the Historic Tower of Notre Dame

Situated in the heart of Paris, at the center of the Ile de la Cite, lies the striking Notre Dame Cathedral. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a gothic architectural masterpiece, it is must-see for anyone visiting France. You will begin your tour with a climb up the tower. You will follow along the footsteps of Quasimodo, from Victor Hugo’s famous story, as you climb the 387 steps to reach the top. You can see the belfry and numerous chimeras and gargoyles up close. In close quarters, you will be able to appreciate the intricate details and construction of these stone monsters. Additionally, you can also catch views of Paris, and see numerous landmarks from nearly 70 meters from the ground. Your guide will impart some tips and information about these landmarks, and which of these you must visit.

Explore The Spectacular Gothic Architecture

You will then enter the cathedral to explore its interiors. As soon as you set foot into the cathedral, you will be struck by the splendor of the rose windows. A paramount feature of Gothic architecture, these rose windows filter in various hues, lighting up the interiors in a transfusion of colors and shades. You will also see the relics of the Holy Crown of Thorns and a piece of the Cross situated inside the cathedral. Timings

From the 1st of April until the 31st of October, 2019, tours will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 2:15 PM. On Sundays, there will be a tour at 9:30 AM.

During July and August 2019, there will be additional tours at 2:15 PM on Mondays and at 6 PM on Saturdays.

The duration of the tour is 2 hours.

Meeting Point

The Charlemagne statue in front of the Notre Dame Cathedral, 6 Parvis Notre-Dame - Pl. Jean-Paul II, 75004 Paris, France. On the right side of the esplanade, in front of the cathedral, you will find a large statue of Charlemagne on horseback. The guide will be waiting right next to the statue.

Getting There

By Bus: Get off at Stop Cite/ Parvis Notre Dame using buses 47, 75, N15, N22. Alternatively, you can get off at stop Cite - Palais de Justice using lines 21, 38, 47, 58, 85, 96, N12, N13, N14, N15, N21, or N22.

By Train: Get off at the stop named Saint Michel Notre Dame using trains RER B, or RER C.

By Subway: Get off the stop named Saint Michel Notre Dame using subway line 4. Alternatively, you can get off at stop Cite using subway line 4.
