We skipped the line at the entrance thanks to the reservation we made in advance through Headout. The cathedral is a true gem of Tuscan medieval Gothic architecture, built in 1179 and filled with intricate details and works of art—some of which were created years later by Michelangelo himself, as you’ll discover while touring the interior with the audio guide (which is very useful and easy to use). The library is another unexpected surprise to find inside a Gothic cathedral. It’s truly a wonderful visit to this gem of medieval architecture. It’s worth spending 90 minutes exploring it and admiring its contents. One of the few cathedrals where even the floor is adorned with impressive artistic scenes. Art is everywhere. A must-see if you’re in Siena.

Even though it was Easter Sunday (and therefore very crowded), we managed to visit the gardens without waiting in line, and just before the castle opened, we barely had to wait in line to get in

Entry was surprisingly quick despite the very long line; the Palace and its vast gardens are an absolute must-see. A prime example of French Baroque architecture designed to celebrate the power of the Sun King. Sumptuous interiors, opulent with gold, stucco, and mirrors. Rich in frescoes by Le Brun. The famous Hall of Mirrors is particularly noteworthy. The gardens, designed by André Le Nôtre with gilded fountains and groves, are strictly geometric with carefully studied perspectives. An absolute must-see.

This time we went to Versalle and it was amazing experience for the palace and gardens. We made booking just 4 days prior visit and tickets were available. After a long wait, the ticket was checked quickly and easily. However, it would be nice if, after payment, a ready-to-use digital ticket appeared on the screen instead of having to go through a download process and several steps to generate it.

The entry queues could have been more visible for time slots But very good on entry. We had purchased EU tickets as the site for purchasing wasn't clear. But this was easily rectified on entry. Think they must be used to People having the wrong tickets.
