Mitt besök i Vatikanmuseerna och Sixtinska kapellet Helt enkelt oförglömligt! Redan när du går genom entrébågarna känner du att du ska få uppleva något helt utomjordiskt. Att vandra genom gallerierna omgiven av klassiska skulpturer, renässanskartor och de bländande Rafaels stanzer tar andan ur en för varje steg... mängden konst och historia som ryms i varje korridor är astronomisk. Men höjdpunkten kommer när man kliver in i Sixtinska kapellet. Tystnaden i rummet inger omedelbar respekt. Att lyfta blicken och se Michelangelos Adams skapelse och Yttersta domen med egna ögon ger en gåshud; ingen bok eller bild gör färgernas detaljrikedom och dramatik i verkligheten rättvisa. Även om det brukar vara ganska mycket folk och man får gå en hel del, är det värt varenda minut och sekunds väntan. Utan tvekan en av mitt livs bästa upplevelser och ett absolut måste om du besöker Rom.

Visiting the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel was an unforgettable experience. The entire visit was incredibly well organised, and the skip-the-line access made the experience much easier, especially with the large crowds. The museums are filled with breathtaking artwork, beautiful architecture, fascinating history and incredible details at every turn. The Sistine Chapel was definitely the highlight and seeing Michelangelo’s work in person was truly amazing. Our Headout booking process was simple and convenient, and the instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. We were able to enjoy the visit without worrying about tickets or long queues. Overall, this was one of the highlights of our Rome trip, and I would definitely recommend visiting the Vatican Museums and booking through Headout.

Vi kom verkligen in snabbt och utan kö. Men det här alternativet är för dem som medvetet är beredda att betala dubbelt så mycket som biljetten kostar på Vatikanens officiella hemsida. Man bör kolla upp vilken Vatikanens officiella webbplats är, eftersom den här även dök upp för mig som vaticanmusei. Om man planerar sitt museibesök i god tid – vilket jag tyvärr inte gjorde och därför åkte på den här kostnaden – kan man komma undan betydligt billigare. För det andra: är man van vid italienare borde det inte vara något problem att guiderna är en halvtimme sena. Vi hade inträde klockan 8.00 på morgonen och i det officiella mejlet stod det att man skulle vara på plats 15 minuter innan, så vi skyndade oss och lyckades komma dit redan 7.40. Guiderna kom ut genom porten först långt efter 8.15.

Att gå före i kön är suveränt den här tiden på året. Vi anlände till Rom den 10 oktober och jag hade redan före ankomsten upptäckt Headout-appen. Hittade det jag ville ha och bokade direkt! När jag såg de vanliga köerna blev jag överlycklig – jag påpekade det faktiskt precis innan Sixtinska kapellet! Den längsta väntetiden var faktiskt till damtoaletterna! Var inte rädd för att ta fram kameran i Vatikanmuseerna! Det är bara i Sixtinska kapellet som du strängt blir tillsagd att stänga av den! Och det är fullt förståeligt! Följ reglerna så får du en helt fantastisk upplevelse! Kom ihåg att du går på samma stenar som påvarna och tittar på föremål från Trojas tid. Alltså f.Kr.

Smidigt tillträde och att få gå förbi kön. Det var första gången jag använde Headout och första gången jag besökte Vatikanmuseerna och Sixtinska kapellet, och jösses, det gjorde mig verkligen inte besviken! Jag blev helt tagen! Att få se med egna ögon och uppleva skönheten och prakten i Vatikanmuseerna och Sixtinska kapellet var ett enormt privilegium, en chans man bara får en gång i livet som man verkligen värdesätter och bevarar i minnet. Har jag bara tid och råd gör jag gärna om hela upplevelsen igen och ser till att tillbringa ännu mer tid inne i Sixtinska kapellet!!!

Guide qui vérifie bien si tout le monde suit et tout le monde est présent, c'est très plaisant malgré le monde aux alentours du Vatican. Très appréciable. Une fois à l'entrée le guide nous laisse nous débrouiller et on se fait le cheminement tout seul, on peut visiter dans l'ordre qu'on souhaite. Beaucoup de monde, il faut pas avoir peur de la foule durant la visite du musée. Mais très belle expérience !

Get comfortable on a speedy transfer between Fiumicino Airport and Rome Termini Station, in just 32 minutes. Skip any lines for tickets and head straight to your platform with no delays, trains arrive every 15 minutes.

When you land at the airport, simply move to the shuttle station within the premise to catch the train. Rome Termini railway station is conveniently located in the center of the city allowing you greater access and more options. You can take the exit onto Via Marsala to the right side, onto Via Giolitti to the left side, or onto Piazza Dei Cinquecento straight away.

Vatican Museums

Greet your host at the designated meeting point and take a short walk to the entrance of the Vatican Museums. Upon entering, you will be free to roam the Museum and Sistine Chapel at your own pace. Boasting some of the finest artwork ever to be made, the Vatican Museums are made up of 54 galleries housing the largest collections of Renaissance art in the world. Take your time to revel in the magnificence of the Sistine Chapel, the walls and ceilings of which are covered in remarkable frescoes.

Luggage and/or large bags are not allowed inside the venue. You may drop off your bags with the free cloakroom service.

Pets and other small animals are not allowed in the venue, with the exception of guide dogs.

Please be dressed appropriately. Sleeveless blouses, miniskirts, shorts, and hats are not permitted. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for all guests.

It is recommended to cover tattoos and any other similarly visible distinctive personal signs.
