Var en fantastisk upplevelse men jag fick bara 1 ljudguide för endast Pena Palace. Ljudguiden var inte särskilt hjälpsam heller. Jag pausade den bara för att läsa den tillgängliga beskrivningen i varje rum eftersom jag tyckte att den var mer informativ.

Båda palatsen och deras parker är helt fantastiska. Observera framtida besökare att INTE bestämma och ta den 32 minuters mjuka nedförsbacke som google maps visar. Det tog två och en halv timme på branta uppförs- och nedförsbackar som skulle få en gecko att skrika efter hjälp! Och många av de markerade rutterna var blockerade eller grindarna stängda så jag var bara tvungen att gå vidare och försöka hitta nya rutter. Säg till alla att ta en taxi. På Regalios var grindpersonalen bara hemsk och oförskämd. Förstod inte varför qr-koden på appen inte var tillräckligt bra varför jag var tvungen att hitta pdf-biljetten med samma qr-kod på vad de generöst accepterade att skanna i slutet. Vid det laget var jag utmattad, hungrig och törstig, bara en gnutta vänlighet hade kunnat göra underverk.

Note that you must enter Pena Palace (not the gate, but the Palace) at the time slot assigned to you, or you may not be able to access the venue.

Please note that you will have to enter from the house tour entrance and not the main gate.

While the Pena Palace complex includes both the palace and gardens, there's still a short walk to the palace itself from the main entrance. The path is paved and climbs a bit and can take 30 minutes.

If you prefer to skip the walk, there's a shuttle bus available within the complex that takes you right up to the palace entrance.

There is an expected wait time of 15-20 mins at the entrance/security to scan the ticket.

The Pena Palace is partially closed due to restoration work on the window openings and the entrance’s Southeast and Northeast facades.

You can park your car in the historic center of Sintra or the peripheral car parks available. There are parking lots at the park entrance but may be limited depending on the number of visitors.

Bus number 434 leaves from Sintra Station and delivers you to the Pena Palace stop. The ride takes just 15-20 minutes. Walking isn't recommended as the route has a lot of steep sections and takes nearly an hour.

Pena Palace prioritizes visitor safety with timed entry. While your exploration of the interior has a designated time slot, it provides enough time to see the highlights.
