We loved it even in the rain. The garden was stunning, nice to have coffee there, and the castle itself was fascinating, beautiful, with historic paintings, rich in history, and we especially appreciated the botanical exhibit with its books open to exquisite botanic art. I can imagine a wonderful opera based on the story of Macmillan & Charlotte.

The castle and property are spatacular! Was the high lite of Trieste! Gardens are fabulous! A beautiful, beautiful experience. Tickets were easy to find on phone and easy to use, was not really busy when there any ways .

Bought tickets to Miramare Castle in Trieste, Italy. Downloaded the free app which came with audio guide. Process was very easy. Even a guy like me in their 60's figured it out. Would recomend using Headout.

Ingresso senza fila e audio-guida eccedente. Ho potuto verificare che le guide in carne ed ossa non era o così esaustive ed interessanti come l'audio guida headout

Miramare is a treat to experience. It's a 15 minute city bus ride from Trieste and not crowded. We thought we arrived at the wrong place because there wasn't a long lineup to get in. The audio tour is important We used one AirPod each for the audio tour so we could pause it and talk to each other about what we were seeing. I am not a castle person but this made me reconsider. The rooms and paintings are beautiful and the architecture too. The views from the castle are spectacular and you must walk down to the oceanfront where boats were greeted. The tour let me experience a little bit of what life would have been to stay at Miramare. We were back in Trieste in less that 3 hours (after ice cream) and had the rest of the day to experience Trieste.

Stig in i den tidlösa elegansen i Miramare Castle, en Habsburgsk reträtt som byggdes mellan 1856 och 1860 för ärkehertig Ferdinand Maximilian och hans fru Charlotte. Medan du utforskar det graciösa vita slottet med utsikt över Triestebukten, utvecklas den 54 hektar stora parken som omger det som en Live-samling av ärkehertigens resor som amiral, med exotiska växter och natursköna stigar.

Inuti kan du vandra genom över 20 överdådiga rum, från Maximilians kammare till Charlottes Musikaler, alla genomsyrade av 1800-talets charm. De gotiska, medeltida och renässansarkitektoniska stilarna smälter sömlöst samman med invecklade möbler som fångar eran. Utanför bjuder parken in dig att utforska restaurerade stall, delikata växthus och det förtrollande "Castelletto" - ett mysigt slott i slottet som har kvar inslag av österrikiskt arv.

Ta med dig kontanter, eftersom det finns en souvenirbutik inne i museet och ett kafé i trädgården.

Stora ryggsäckar, väskor och paraplyer måste förvaras i museets garderob.
