Som utlovat gick vi snabbt in på Pompeji-området genom den nedre grinden efter att ha hämtat ut entrébiljetten i papper. Det finns flera säkra parkeringsplatser nära denna grind. Platsen i sig är verkligen magnifik och rörlig. Vi tillbringade 6 och en halv timme där, och till och med då gav vi upp flera områden! Vi bokade inte husen utanför huvudplatsen. För barn rekommenderar vi barnmuseet vid Porta Sarno, som är väl luftkonditionerat, fullt av tuschpennor för att rita och inte särskilt upptagen. Kanske saknas det en lekplats där föräldrarna kan koppla av medan de små springer runt på ett säkert sätt?
