Sightseeing Cruises in Akureyri

Booked last minute and didn’t regret it. The weather was unpredictable (sudden rain, then sun), but the suits kept us warm. Got some coool shots of a whale. The boat ride itself is worth it if you like being on the sea.

Took the afternoon tour, a bit crowded but we still got to see a whale. Hot drinks and cookies were a hit. The crew gives a safety talk at the start, which was helpful. Pro tip: get there early for the best spot on the boat.

Our group had a great time. The crew gave us lots of info and made sure everyone saw the whales. Weather was decent, just a bit windy. Would’ve liked a longer stop near the whales but still worth it.

Boat trip felt a bit rushed at times, like they were on a schedule. But! We saw two humpbacks and even got a good photo (tricky with the boat bobbing everywhere). Crew handed out warm suits that made us look like marshmallows. Would def go again, just maybe not in October—COLD.

Went with my friend group and it was sooo much fun. Not everyone in our crew saw the whales at first, but the captain turned the boat so everyone could see. Staff gave out blankets too. Would totally recommend for a group outing.

Rainy day didn’t spoil it. Saw a whale from pretty close and dolphins jumped with the boat for a bit. The crew is really knowledgeable and made sure everyone was comfy. Would recommend.

I’m a photographer so I was worried about crowds, but there was enough space on deck. Got some AMAZING shots of a whale fluke. Staff were happy to answer nerdy questions, too.

Took my mum for her birthday and it was NEXT LEVEL. The crew were super chill and honestly, I was worried about seasickness but they gave us all these big orange suits (looked a bit like minions but warm). Saw two whales and my mum cried a bit, haha. It felt like they really respected the animals—not chasing or anything, just waiting and letting them pop up near us. Bring gloves, your fingers WILL freeze if you’re holding your camera the whole time.
