Deși proiectul Rondul de noapte m-a ținut departe de pictura pe care am venit cu adevărat să o văd, am avut o după-amiază minunată în care am revizitat și am învățat de la unii dintre maeștri. Nu eram pregătită pentru cât de impresionată am fost de aranjamentul în gri și galben al lui Whistler. Nici nu mă așteptam la un asemenea val de bucurie când am ajuns în fața lui Vermeer și Rembrandt. Acustica din holurile și scările centrale este atroce de oribilă, dar odată ce am avut un moment de liniște în biblioteca magică mi-a trecut.
