Pompeii Entry Tickets

Absolutely incredible experience! The 2-hour guided tour of Pompeii was the perfect way to explore this vast archaeological site without feeling overwhelmed. Our English-speaking guide was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also passionate about Roman history, which made the ruins come to life in an unforgettable way. The tour covered the highlights of the ancient city, including the Forum, the baths, the brothel (Lupanar), and several well-preserved homes with frescoes still intact. The guide provided fascinating context about daily life in Pompeii before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, weaving in stories that made it feel personal and engaging. It was the right balance of walking and listening—never rushed, and plenty of time to take photos and ask questions. Headsets were provided so we could hear everything clearly, even in busier sections of the site. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Pompeii for the first time. It saves you hours of wandering aimlessly and gives you a much deeper understanding of what you’re seeing. Two hours flew by, and I left with a sense of awe at the complexity and tragedy of this once-thriving Roman city.

We ended up arriving late in the day (around 4) and there was no line at all. We went in immediately, looked around the first floor of the palazzo but tried to get into the garden as soon as possible. They close at 7:30, but we had plenty of time and were able to pretty much see everything. Even the Grotto of Diana that reopened after a major renovation (and being closed for 40 years!) it's quite amazing. I hope they will continue to renovate and be able to maybe even bring some fountains back. You can see a lot of work is happening. We also got to hear the organ fountain. It plays every 2 hours on the 1/2 hr. (10:30, 12:30, etc) so amazing

Even if you have tickets bought online, you still have to queue at the entrance to exchange them for paper tickets. With the digital auudioguide, geolocation isn't always accurate and you spend a lot of time looking for the commentary you're looking for. After a 3-hour visit, the audioguide had used up all my phone battery. But the advantage of this formula is the very democratic price.

I spent HOURS of time looking at tours, reading reviews and weighing one against the other. I am so glad i purchased this tour for our family of 5 (2 adults, 20 year old and 18 year old). Our tour guide - a third generation tour guide - was FABULOUS. He hit the right mix of funny , historically accurate and culturally insightful. He made it personal to the entire group and worked hard to make sure everyone felt included and connected.

Everything was so easy! From booking to meeting place. I was even contacted by WhatsApp to avoid the inconvenience of a free day at pompei which would have been a very busy day. The guided tour was efficient and very interesting. In short, a faultless tour. Thanks to the whole team (I was initially worried when I booked, reading some of the comments). For us: it was perfect!

The guide was excellent – professional and pleasant. The tour was fascinating. The meeting point was in a shaded area on the second floor of the train station, but unfortunately, there was no clear signage to help locate it easily.

I did the Pompeii guided tour on Monday 19 May, Our Guide Giuseppe was fabulous - he was obviously passionate about roman history and passed on his knowledge in a friendly, fun manner. After the tour ended I stayed in the park to the end of the day and Giuseppe's tour helped with the rest of my sightseeing afternoon. Thankyou Giuseppe 🙏❤️

I drove to Pompeii and used their Parking Lot. Getting into the ruins was a bit complicated. I showed my online ticket near where I parked and got a receipt, then went upstairs to pick up my audio unit. They hold your ID until you return. They explained I needed a voucher to enter the ruins. The entrance was a 5 minute walk back to another station that wasn't well identified, near coffee and food shops. They wanted to see the receipt and some ID, and finally issued an official entry ticket. The entrance tto the ruins was there. I think if you don't park, you can be dropped at the entrance easily. The ruins are amazing.

I wasn't expecting to be so smooth. All the details were explained in the e mail- as were where to find the ticketing office , how to get there etc. The tickets were there waiting for us and it took us few seconds to get through the gates .

We could not find the ticket office we spent probably 30 minutes looking for this, as the coach had dropped as at the top by the train station, every time we asked someone, we were directed somewhere different, we asked for headphones for the app so we could have audio commentary but they only do android ones, tried listening from my phone without headphones but wasn't easy, we were also. It offered a map, so it was very difficult to understand what we were looking at ???

The instructions were clear and exact. No crowds, fast sevece. The agents on the check desk were very polite and helpful. The audio guide is very useful.

First place to pick up the ticket without any problems, then arrival at the entrance to Pompeii, tickets not accepted, no queue cutter, I had to queue a very long time to pick up the official tickets.
