It was an awesome opportunity to see so much if Venice in a short time. We were able to catch water bus at any location and spent the day going around Venice using the buses. The directions and terminals were easy to figure out and it helped us see more of Venice, than if we traveled another way. The price if the ticket was resonable and quickly paid for itself.

Arrived at SANTA LUCIA station , the ticket office was just in front of the exit, it was the "only counter without a queue and in no time we were handed our passes, the rest of the day then was wonderful, beautiful day, although with a lot of people, but livable.

Loved riding on the vaporetto. Truly a wonderful way to see Venice and it's surrounding communities, Murano and Burano. However... maybe the company could put on a few more boats. On one trip we were packed like sardines for 30 minutes, standing. Not a great experience.

We actually had an unusual experience...we booked tickets to Murano and 10 minutes into our journey, the small boy near to us was crying and scared. I knew immediately that he was separated from his parents. Through google translate and another person we found out he was German and the nice drivers located his mother's location with the radio/phone to the other water bus drivers. She and the grandfather had gotten off thinking that he was with the grandfather but he was not. We stayed with him and were communicating through google translate that the drivers were getting him back to his mom. It was very emotional and we were very happy with the response of the drivers toward the boy's situation. The one thing that was hard was that, the day after we went to a ticket office near Santa Lucia and told him that we did not see Murano because of the situation. We asked for a replacement trip to Murano and he said "no, you need to write an email."

I had a very pleasant experience with the vaporetto in Venice. It is the most practical and authentic way to get around the city, and the views from the Grand Canal are simply spectacular. The ticket is super practical. Important: you must first have real tickets, which you can have created at the bus stop, for example. Then you can travel by water bus, train, etc. 24 hours from the time you create the ticket. Really indispensable in Venice!

Our friends who visited Venice 2 years ago recommended us to use the transport from the port of Punta Subbiony. Parking at the port was without problems. We bought tickets for 1 day, for the Vaporetto ACTV Water Bus. It was a great choice. Discovering the beauty of Venice was much more interesting. When we were tired of walking, we went on a boat and sailed along the Main Canal. We also visited Murano island. I think the price of €25 per person for 1 day is excellent. Next time, however, we will definitely stay here for at least 2 nights. In other words, you can only taste Venice in 1 day.

Skip the line was good (but not necessary on a Saturday in July). We did not have time to get our moneys worth out of the day boat pass. It would have been cheaper and easier to purchase single boat rides from the automated kiosks. But still beautiful!

Skip the line ticketing is the way to go, given the line up of people we saw purchasing tickets. The all day ACTV pass is handy. We had an issue with evening riding. The spot at P. De Roma not the same dock, and no indication to use another one. The return trip from san Marco at S. Zaccaria didn't go where we anticipated it to go, and fortunately it ended up at a stop near us. But we were planning on getting off near the Accademia and walking back. So, better directions would be helpful, or people around to guide you, since the signage wasn't easy to understand.

We took the 25 euro day pass with which we traveled both by bus for the Mestre-Venice route and by vaporetto for visiting Murano and Burano. There are plenty of machines where you can print your own tickets with ease. Definitely more convenient solution than individual tickets!

So day ticket easy to buy, only flaw you cannot validate everywhere but there are specific embarkations, however then once validated it is very easy to take vaporetti and move around Venice Only negative thing tell the docking attendant i.e. the one who puts in and takes out the rope that even if he speaks in Venetian we still understand him because combination I understand the Venetian dialect and it is not nice to feel teased convinced that you are not understood , unfortunately I do not have the name but the attendant could easily avoid calling us mona or ascari .... But it goes well

The ride itself worked wonderfully. The water bus trips are always a pleasure. Unfortunately, the cell phone ticket cannot be used with a cell phone, but has to be printed out at a ticket machine (in my case not available at the departure point) or with a printer. I didn't have one on the way. A QR code that could be scanned at the ticket validator would be great. Then the word cell phone ticket would also apply.

I didn't like anything about it. The trip from Pinta della Digana to Piazzale Roma was never ending. Also when I was ticketed me, my wife and daughter that I personally had purchased on the actv site, I had the pdf with the 3 tickets that I was told the controllers had to be stamped ....... absurd !!!! We were multi-ticketed and I had to pay over € 30 of the tickets already spent, € 178.50 fine. Never again !!!! Arrogant and bullying treatment . We were treated like three thugs . If you book such a ticket online and pay an additional fee, it should be possible to use the Tucket immediately. Unfortunately, however, you had to go to a ticket counter with the generated code to have a "real" ticket printed out. The online booking was therefore completely unnecessary and useless. We were lucky that a nice boatman took us two stops free of charge and we were able to get off at a ticket counter at one stop. Rarely experienced such nonsense.

To travel on the waterbus, you need a valid ticket. If the waterbus pass was purchased online, you still have to get the correct ticket for the journey at the ticket machine. There is no information about this, and if you are in a hurry so as not to miss the bus, it is not immediately clear how to get the ticket with the Waterbus Pass purchased online.

We used the vaporetto into the centre with no issue but upon returning had to queue for a very long time. Despite being second in the queue 4 boats passed and were filled with residents (or those with passes) who were in a separate queue that our tickets wouldn't let us into. The agent managing the queues did not explain clearly what was happening and the waiting room was full to the point that I felt faint in the heat. It felt like a waste of money and really put a dampener on our trip to Venice. I can understand residents having priority but the fact the their queue was entirely allowed to board whilst ours didn't move was ludicrous. We were eventually squeezed onto a boat that actually terminated half way through our journey and we were given no guidance as to how to get to our final destination, just a wait here.

The buses were massively overcrowded. The ticket machines are great, but if they don't work you have to stand for an hour to activate them. Then you're at your destination and want to go back and it takes almost two hours to get through the crowds. That's not right. The tickets need to be limited. We lost some time and nerves in Venice until we finally got the tickets for the water bus. In the end, only I was allowed through the barrier to the boat, my partner supposedly had an invalid ticket. At the stops, there are too many QR codes, and there is not a nice big one to purchase the day pass. But in 2025, you can't handle a day pass purchase via app, but you have to generate a voucher to convert? You are complex and impractical. From the machines where you tap in you could propose whether to buy the single ride for 9 euros or the day pass for 25 euros. Everyone was complaining about this, could it be that you haven't gotten there yet?

I went to the point of sale at the quayside, they directed me to the biblietto vending machine located at the back of the ticket office - after 3 attempts to enter the Reservation Code 23452275 the vending machine gave me a message of non-existent code - we made other attempts in the presence of other people as well but there was nothing to be done. Let me preface this by saying that I am a computer technician with more than 30 years of experience and I know how to use technological means so I had relied on online booking - in the end I had to buy the ticket again at the ticket office by redoing the file. What is the point of buying tickets onlain but then having to print them out? Then the instructions are written too much in detail, with necesary information almost hidden. When someone is in freta and just wants to buy the ticket they don't want and time to read a biblia that in the end they don't need, they just want to buy the ticket. And the last one, you have to make more lines to Burano, if the ticket would cost 10 eur, doesn't it bother you a bit to wait, though to wait in the middle of winter 1 hour walk to Burano and pay ticket 25 eur, don't be ashamed, I can imagine what it is during summer? The reason for the cancellation was because they indicated that to use the tickets they had to be printed and that was impossible. Morning. Being able to acquire a ticket online should simplify the user experience and make it easier to use the service. Purchasing a vaporetto ticket in Venice today means for a non-resident of the Veneto region: - Paying a 2 euro surplus on the cost (2 euros out of 9.20 is certainly not negligible) - Having to pick up at the automatic machine the ticket. (so still find yourself forced to queue as if you were buying it directly at the counter or machine) - Thus, there is no advantage in either time or money. At least not at the same rate. That said, it also happens that the vending machines (for a thousand reasons) do not work correctly (payments and other). So this means having to, in some cases, walk a good distance anyway. I understand the complexity of the road system in a unique city like Venice, no one doubts this point, but certainly the current IT system does not simplify the user in any way and also the travel without burdening the infrastructure.

We were standing at the vaporetto station in Venice and wanted to buy two 24-hour tickets, but the machine was broken. So we decided without further ado to buy our ticket here, even though it was €5 more expensive than at the machine. The nasty surprise, however, was that we didn't get a cell phone ticket or a QR code as we had thought, but a ticket to PRINT OUT!!!! Because I always have my printer in my hand luggage.....! There we are in the middle of Venice with the information that our ticket is only valid when printed out - great! After some swearing, we found a DHL branch and gave the employee €10 to print out the ticket for us. By now an hour had passed and we would have had to read in detail what we had to do with the printed ticket to get access to the vaporetto. Because just the printed ticket didn't give us access. At some point we really had enough and simply crawled under the barrier.....

This morning we waited 1.5 hours at the Piazzale de Roma station to go to Murano, and in the end the 4.2 line twice left without us, taking priority passengers, so we finally decided to take a vaporetto to Lido, a destination we didn't want to go to. One Kiosk at san Marco square was inoperable.touch screen not responsive west kiosk. ) And second machine east was being repaired by technician. . No way to print ticket for scanning. The ticket machine, where you get the prepaid tickets in exchange for the code, is cumbersome and confusing. I had trouble with it. Then a friendly person came and guided me through the procedure. Unfortunately, he saw my credit card pin. His buddies on the Tronchetto fished my wallet out of my pocket in the crowd, and together with the friendly person, I was then charged 1000 euros. If the ticket machine was easier to use, that wouldn't have happened.

Riding a water bus is fun. It's a bit like a city tour, only without the commentary about what you're seeing, etc. Standing can be recommended for people who get sick easily. Nothing, I had bought the tickets thinking that I could avoid the queue of the ticket counters and ticket machines... I lost 40minutes of time instead! At the first queue I made the ticket machine did not work, however there was no sign, at the second queue the same, at the third queue I made the person closes the counter suddenly and I had to queue for the fourth time, and so on I had to queue 6 times to print tickets!!!!!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!!!! Instead of making transportation ticket purchases easier it has instead made them worse! When I stood in line for the fifth time it was at one of the counters and when my turn finally came the person tells me that I have to use the ticket machines! And at this point I had to stand in line for the sixth time! The ticket counters and ticket machines outside the Venice station are absurd!!!!! You can clearly see that Venice has an absolute disregard for visitors and tourists!

Actually you don't need to print the ticket like they wrote before. On the Ticket Automat you only need to enter your ticket code. We was in vacation without a printer and it was hard to find someone who helps us to print these tickets. Then u only need the reservation code from above the pdf. And the Ticket Automat prints your ticket. That's all not a smart solution.

The information was confusing. Print out the online ticket? I leave the printer in the office when I'm on vacation. Then the overworked staff at the counter - I should have been told immediately how these ticket machines work. The surface totally dirty, scratched, full in the sun - just above the ground - I'm not a toddler, am I? Nowadays I would have expected a QR code - but like this? I liked totally nothing! The waterbusses were so full that we had to wait for 4 boats before we could get on one. The staff were in the morning extremely stressed and very unfriendly and yelling to the passengers!! Extremely rude!!!
