We visited several museums while in Paris and L'Orangerie was by far our favorite. The special exhibits were interesting, but it was the regular collection that captivated us. The museum is also a manageable size so didn't feel overwhelming.

It is conveniently located close to the Louvre and the Musée D'Orsay but is compact so that only a few hours visit is necessary unlike its far larger neighbours!

We enjoyed our visit to the orangery, where we had a great time as a family. We were able to travel back in time thanks to the magnificent works by Renoir, Matisse .....and the marvellous water lilies, which still impress us to this day!

I'd like to make an observation. The Orangerie was wonderful from the entrance to the most "delicate" moment, at the luggage storage. The women who attended to me were very, very kind, especially considering that I was loaded because I'd done some shopping beforehand that I'd planned to do, they might as well not have let me in... but they attended to me very well. It's just that the Orangerie is smaller, it must be less targeted than the D'Orsay and Louvre. It was VERY unpleasant there. On the one hand, I was wrong, I admit, because I was close to the museum closing. But what happened was something I saw, although it's understandable because the museum is so big, a major miscommunication on the part of the staff when directing people to the luggage lockers. Because I arrived late, I had to leave my things in a locker downstairs. Then, when it was time to leave, the staff, doing their job, told me to leave and I said "well, I have to get my things and they're downstairs because you told me to!". And then they simply said that "it's impossible to have a guard downstairs", and they didn't know how to guide me. It was embarrassing because I understand that I made a mistake by arriving late according to the rules that the museum is entitled to, but I think that anyone who visits also has the right. If I arrived, even on time, with my things, even if it's not the most appropriate thing to be carrying when visiting a museum, I also think that those who go have the right to be treated within the possibilities. I was loaded and I left my things in the luggage locker, neither the top one nor the bottom one, which is more inaccessible; so much so that there was a miscommunication between the staff themselves who didn't know how to direct me to get there, who simply told me to leave, to the point that 1. I had to say "but you have someone to let you take my things" and 2. A member of staff who wasn't even inside (and one of those who was, a very blonde lady, was very unfriendly), who literally controlled the entrance, was the one who showed me the stairs to the downstairs guard. So I made the mistake that getting close to closing meant I had to stay in the downstairs guardroom. But come on, I had the right to be guided to get there, even if I had to leave the museum, and for that, the staff had to be more communicative and willing, with the exception of the gentleman who was near the stairs (and who was too far away to know anything about the inside of the museum, unlike his colleagues). Anyway, let me make this criticism.

The Water Lilies experience was extraordinary. The queue-cutting ticket for the Modigliani exhibition was very much appreciated, as it was the last day and it was very busy.

This museum always is a great pleasure to visit .. And this time, with the added exposition about Modigliani, we had a really great experience. Also because of the way this exposition was set up! Highly recommended..

I discovered the Musée de l'Orangerie, small but very clear. The works are of high quality, by a variety of painters. A plus for the large rooms of the Water Lilies... The temporary Modigliani exhibition is well worth the detour.

Everything went well with the tickets! The only negative thing was that there were too many offers and advertisements from this company in the last few days.

Entry to the Modigliani exhibition a little late, given the crowds. Very fine works, but in very limited quantity. A minimalist exhibition that doesn't justify its admission price.

Beautiful museum with paintings by Modigliani, not forgetting the great works of Monet. A must-see. Best visited with audioguides.

It was very simple and straightforward. The scheduling and payment process was easy. Most of all, the barcodes worked and we had no trouble getting in during our appointed time.

A whole group of us had tickets for 4.30pm and were a little early. Instead of letting us in, as is the case in so many museums if you're lucky enough to have a slot close by, they let us wait in the cold until precisely 4.30pm, clearly mocking us. On 3 occasions, however, they let dozens of visitors through without a ticket. What a shame! The exhibition itself was very beautiful.

The assigned time tickets are worth it, I tried to get tickets directly from the museum but all the time slots were sold out for the days we had available but head out had tickets for the next day for a great time slot and it was perfect, we skipped the long line and walked right in. Being surrounded by Monet's paintings were so moving and special. It was a dream come true for me and my husband. It's a small museum but that is what I loved about it.
