The glorious sunshine accentuated the glow of the gold embellishments throughout the exterior of the palace . The gardens exceeded our expectations.

Amazing place to visit. Sheer scale is quiet astounding. Very well organised entry to the palace. Gardens are well kept. Not that clear of whether you can visit everywhere with ticket type. Had to find staff to ask.

Everything is very nice and although there is a long line to get in, it flows relatively quickly. A pity that it is so crowded, you can not enjoy the palace as such. The gardens are huge and very beautiful, worth a visit.

The palace was amazing so much to see. The gardens were huge lots of walking involved or you can hire bikes or little cars if you're tired of walking. Don't forget to visit the two smaller palaces with their own gardens. Ideally you need 2 days to fully enjoy everything. I would highly recommend going if you're visiting Paris.

Castle and gardens are beautiful. Despite time slot very crowded and long line to enter. Too bad the fountains don't work. Ticket ordering and online shipping was well taken care of.

The palace certainly deserves to be seen, very beautiful, all good... the only flaw too many people in each room, we were too crowded, if there was an emergency surely it would have been a problem...

Definitely just from the outside the location already takes your breath away because of its beauty . We walked around freely without a guide , in general everything is taken care of well , unfortunately it was raining and windy so we did not visit the gardens . The only thing I can suggest for those who do the tour without a guide is to put arrows indicating the route to visit all the rooms without missing any . Thank you

the visit to the château was not too crowded... but the walk in the gardens is too expensive if you hire golf cars, per hour for people with reduced mobility... 40€/h is exorbitant...!

It was amazing, omg they give you chance to take all fotos you want, the gardens are extremely beautiful. Versalles is one of my best places and experience at Paris... I love Paris!!!

everything super beautiful, only in the castle much too busy, you can barely take pictures and some parts you can hardly walk through . the gardens were also beautiful and nice and spacious. the tickets would initially be online within 30 minutes, so not, then it would be twenty-four hours in advance online, so not, we were almost at the entrance when they came in 6 minutes before the indicated time clock, this is really not possible! We were almost in line to buy tickets, so we could only half hour later than indicated time inside.

I didn't like paying €49 when the initial price was €32. Headout's mark-up is excessive and abusive. Very interesting visit.

The true surprise at Versailles was the Hameau de la Reine, the rustic village dreamed up and built for Marie Antoinette. The stone and timber cottages, with their thatched roofs, seem as though they have stepped out of a pastoral fairy tale. Around them lie simple gardens, a quiet pond with swans, and small arched bridges—all composing a tableau of unexpected delicacy. There, far from the rigid etiquette of the court, the queen found her refuge, dreaming of an idyllic life away from the oppressive splendor of the palace. The fairy-tale atmosphere, filled with tranquility and natural charm, stands in sharp contrast to the cold monumentality of Versailles and remains, perhaps, the most authentic part of the estate.

The whole experience was fantastic. A wheelchair was needed for my Mother in Law and it was easily supplied and the staff were so good.

Thanks to the staff, very helpful and supportive, we was accidentally waiting for bus in wrong place and the guide found us and escorted us to the bus. In general the excursion was perfect, how I love, we came to the Palace, the company staff were accompanied to the entrance and took care we were going in right place, after we fallow the installed in smartphone app, smart guide, which allowed us to avoid queue for audio guide.

Marie Antoinette's hamlet is splendid, you have to walk down the gardens and it's much quieter than the château.

no waiting! I'm from the Paris region and the last time I came to visit family from the provinces we waited 2 hours. these time-stamped tickets are a great improvement.

The ticket got us through the castle grounds easily. We were amazed that we still had to queue longer at the palace. Only a few fountains were visible to us early on in the gardens. We were very disappointed that no fountains were visible during the long time we were there. We also wished that we had at least been allowed to visit the Queen's Gardens.

Firstly, it is not ideal for the tickets to the palace to be sent less than 24 hours before the event. We booked months ago, and in the event had to chase Headout for the tickets the da before. As we were touring 2 weeks beforehand, it isn't always convenient to have to download on the hoof. Also there was no mention of where La Flotille restaurant was and this would have been helpful. There was a general lack of information with the tickets as to exactly what this included (everything, as it turns out), but we had to research last minute (once we received tix) to see if it included the visit to the Trianon estate. The Palace, of course is stunning, queues were long and no shade if you were on your own and wanted to queue. Overall a lovely place to visit, it's just the ticket and information prior to visit that isn't ideal.

Very convenient way to make the reservation and access to the site. The palace and gardens are impressive. It is best to book the whole day to discover every corner. The only strange thing is that they warn that there may be pickpockets inside the palace.

The majesty of the interior is the beauty of the paintings depicting life at court. It was very easy to purchase tickets, making it easy for us to enter the palace.

We had tickets for the time slot 3:00 – 6:30 PM. However, at 5:30 PM, when we wanted to leave the Grand Canal and return through the gardens in order to reach the exit and go back to the parking lot, we were denied re-entry to the gardens. Instead, we were forced to walk around, through the town, which made our return much more difficult and inconvenient. In addition, I was asked to pay an extra €11 for my 10-year-old daughter to access the gardens, even though I had already provided her age when purchasing the tickets and it was clearly stated that admission was free for children. It turned out that the free admission only applied to the Palace, not the gardens, which was not made clear during the booking process. It would be very helpful if these restrictions and additional charges were communicated more clearly in advance, so that visitors can plan their visit accordingly.

Everything was tidy and very well organized. Obviously very crowded, the restrooms for visitors are insufficient.

The best thing we found was the absolutely smooth entry despite the many like-minded people. The neighboring country to the east can take a leaf out of their book. Perfect!

The tickets booked corresponded to the possible accesses to visit the Palace of Versailles and its surroundings. However, we only benefited (fortunately for us) from the official rate (€32.00) when we booked a special time slot....when you advertised the other time slots at higher rates.... The Versailles site offices find this situation highly unusual.... Finally, in our case, we were lucky enough to avoid a surcharge that would have left us with the bitter taste of having been "ripped off". In future, we'll be even more careful to ensure that we only visit sites officially recognized as such.

I did not like having to go all the way around the grounds for a second access to the gardens. They do not allow access through the original access and send you to the gate of the dragons that is not exactly close. There there is no problem to access but the return is incomprehensible and absolutely dispensable. It is so tremendously absurd....

Admission was not as described. You couldn't get in half an hour earlier as it was written when you bought your ticket. You were turned away to another queue and had to wait directly until the entrance indicated on the ticket.

Obviously the Palace is beautiful, however the level of crowding was unacceptable. It was as bad as being at a football match before seating was introduced in the UK. It was a struggle to make it to the exit of each room. All I ended up doing was squeezing through the people from room to room. I went outside in the hope of some more space in the gardens, only to find that my ticket only included 'the option if visiting the gardens' - I thought it was included. I couldn't find the shop and queued for at least 15 mins for the ladies toilets. Went home disappointed but realising that doing the trip in August was a mistake.

We visited the Royal Palace on Sunday, August 24, accompanied by a 3 year old child. Everything went very smoothly and easily, although it was quite crowded, you enter through 2 doors, tickets were easily scanned, the generous spaces made the visit pleasant. The gardens were my favorite. I recommend!

It's a shame we have to pay 11€ per person to visit the gardens....I thought it was always free.

There was a delay at the tickets receiving the night before my reservation but I contacted the chat and in 30 minutes I got a link with an email where I could find them

The experience of the resefva has been very positive, but the palace of Versailles was overcome by the weather conditions. A pity!

Unguided visit to the castle and gardens. About 3 h on the way. Enjoyed the splendor. Parking in front of the castle has its price. 20 eur for 4 h. A nice crowd, but not overwhelming. Well worth it

We had an excellent time at the Flottille restaurant. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The garden tour was relaxing. A little too many people in the château to really appreciate the many rooms, paintings and furniture.

The gardens of Versailles are splendid with the tickets we could do everything the grand trianon, the petit trianon, all the gardens and the visit of the castle nothing to say. The tickets arrived on the day of the visit, a few days before would have been preferable for my taste. This site is very reliable and I recommend it without hesitation.

Versailles Palace and gardens are incredible, not to be missed! We certainly got our money's worth as we were there for 7 hours! It is well run and staff are friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant and a couple of snack bars one in the Palace and another in the gardens.lots of parking too. The palace is magnificent, we had audio guides which were reasonably priced and very informative and easy to use. The Gardens are Hugh but you can hire a golf buggy or there is a little train. All in all a fantastic day out.

Versailles is a beautiful palace with impressive art. The staff on site were also very friendly and always courteous. However, you have to be aware that you will encounter a large number of visitors there who come from different cultural backgrounds and are socialized differently. All in all, however, it is highly recommended, with the corresponding stresses and strains. Incidentally, the ticket purchase worked very well and we received the tickets via the app and not, as described in the text, vouchers. All in all, absolutely flawless. Many thanks for that.

Château de Versailles tickets (5/5) We conveniently ordered our tickets for the Château de Versailles via the Headout app, paid via PayPal and received them immediately. Conclusion: - Easy booking - Fast payment via PayPal - Received tickets immediately via the app - Everything went smoothly on site Overall an uncomplicated, great experience.

Versailles is simply incredibly beautiful and interesting. The organization of the entrance with the tickets for a given time was good.

The visit to the château was perfect, and we really enjoyed strolling around the gardens afterwards. We took a slot between 12 noon and 2 p.m. to avoid the crowds. There were still a lot of visitors, but that didn't stop us enjoying the place and immersing ourselves in it. However, I wouldn't be the first to recommend buying these tickets via Headout, as the price of their tickets is twice as expensive as on the official site, although they do allow access to slots that are sometimes more available on the official site. What's more, the app only informs us after payment that tickets will finally be received 24 hours before the actual day. We made a request to receive them faster, and it was fulfilled, however our tickets were in an unknown name, not ours, which generated a lot of stress in organizing and waiting for the vacation. I'd recommend going ahead and buying tickets on the château's website, which also gives you access to really good discounted rates for the options on offer. The Palace of Versailles is really big, you need 2 hours for the visit if you don't stop for each audioguide (it took us 2 hours without stopping), and the gardens are really huge and there are lots of things to discover, it's a really relaxing place.There are no means to eat, I found, it can be good to bring something to eat.

Too crowdy, not possible to look at the interesting points. Mainly the big groups are taken all the place, as result one can not go close to the objects. better should be to limit the amount of people in a group to e.g. 10.

The entrance to the castle was very good. Can only be recommended. Small criticism, the tickets did not come as announced 24 hours in advance by mail. Had to write an email where the tickets remain. A short time later got the tickets via WhatsApp as a pdf file.

Ease of access to the entire estate, including the Château de Versailles with its check-in time (no stress on arrival!), access to the gardens, the Trianons, and so on.

The Palace is spectacular. The bad thing is that it was not clear that access to the gardens was not included and because of the amount of people it was very cumbersome to acquire the tickets.

Amazing experience. Please allow plenty of time to tour the palace and grounds. Rented a golf cart for an hour to tour the grounds. If on a time contraint I highly recommend the golf cart.

The entrance to the castle was very well organized. Despite the long queue, entry was super quick. In the castle, as in the gardens, you could take all the time in the world to linger. I would gladly come again.

The beauty of the château and gardens. An exceptional site. Almost no waiting to get in, thanks to tickets purchased in advance. On the other hand, lack of clarity in the offer, with garden option, offer for the trianon or not but no time to go there ... Everything could be a lot clearer!

The ticket process was very smooth. We spent the whole day at the palace. The gardens were stunning. The musical fountain show was most impressive. The ceilings were phenomenal. The room of mirrors was also a real treat.

The ticketing experience was excellent. The E-tickets were delivered to my phone which made access at the entry / security point seem less. All in all I have only positive things to say.

We were disappointed - unfortunately, the experience at the palace did not live up to our expectations. Too many people, okay, that's certainly to be expected given the importance of the Palace of Versailles, especially in summer. But the museum simply relies on its importance and offers too little to immerse yourself in history. Far too few explanations for the many international guests who don't speak French. That borders on arrogance! You can forget the audio guide - far too complicated and not practical - other museums are much better at this. Our expectations were probably too high, but we paid a high price.

Ticketing with Headout was easy and efficient. Versailles was amazing and we could have easily spent the whole day there, instead of just 4 hours. Going early in the morning was a great idea as it got really busy as the day wore on. Just need to be aware that the line ups for female toilets are long during peak season.

It was verry short and it didnt give a good overview about the palast. There were more pictures than rooms like bedrooms .

The ticketing experience was great. Easy to find my tickets on the app. Thankfully they were available offline, since Versailles had no wifi that I could find. The reason my review wasn't higher is that several of the fountains were off (only on on weekends?), the 150th anniversary exhibit was closed (also only on weekends), the State rooms where the famous David painting of Napoleon was closed ( don't know the reason), and the carriage house was closed. So we met disappointment several times. The app tour didn't mention any of these closures. What we did see was absolutely spectacular. Food was delicious and reasonably priced, workers were kind (although several didn't know much about the rooms they were working in), everything was very, very clean. Restrooms were sparse. Drinking fountains couldn't be found, security was easy. Overall, an amazing day at a world-class museum. Great job, France.

I thought there would be a device in Portuguese, I even bought an earphone, but as I didn't receive any instructions I was left with nothing.

Garden access not included in ticket price. Optional garden access means that the garden may be accessible. Too bad, because the exit is onto the garden itself.

Still haven't received tickets the day before. After chat with help desk, still nothing. After telephone contact I received a quick response. Perhaps a little more clarity about when you should receive the tickets at the latest is desirable. But otherwise a very smooth and pleasant visit to Versailles!

The trip was for my daughter and she absolutely loved everything including the history as she is preparing for school assignments in New Zealand.

The gardens were wonderful! Lots to see and explore. The palace itself was very confusing to navigate and we ended up not seeing half of it due to weird exits not labeled and no one anywhere to help.

There was a huge wait to get in, given the overcrowding of visitors. The queue stretched right up to the entrance near the Place des Armes parking lot.

It is well maintained. Audio facility is good. Toilets can be easily found and no extra fees. Musical fountain, water was clean. Internal transport vehicle facility is also nice.

Ticketing with Headout was great. No problems at all. The Palace of Versailles was great also. For how old it is the grounds and palace were well kept up, looked beautiful. There is just too much to talk about, the history, antiques, fantastic. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only thing I would say it needed more bench out front for people to rest while waiting for the rest of their party. Thank you for a great experience.

Not so much love ......Ticketing experience with Headout was a bit scary at first given Headout didn't issue tickets at time of taking payment, tickets being issued by their Italian partner agency. We realsied this after booking when an email stated tickets would be emailed to us 24hrs before the visit. Given we would be in Paris by then this was too much of a risk. Following a phone call to Headout tickets were emailed to us and we received duplicate tickets from their Italian partner a couple of days before our departure for France. Apart from the initial uncertainty there is quite a hefty mark up on the price if you book direct with Versailles. Once received, however, our "passport tickets" allowed easy access to all areas of Versailles. Overall, glad we went but did get a little bored after walking through empty room after room with the only interest being the history associated with the many paintings displayed. Very few rooms were furnished, most furnishings having be destroyed/removed during the revolution. The gardens were lovely but after 4hrs we were too tired to make it to the Trianon even after a stop at the cafe. Wish we'd started at the Trianon and worked our way back. Wanted to see the coach house but this was closed - no reason. Would advise future visitors not to visit Versailles as part of a tour. Getting there is easy and cheap from Paris (by train or even taxi) and allows you to spend as much time as you wish and in your own way. The audio guide which can be purchased at Versailles is good.

We loved Versailles, even though it rained and thundered all afternoon. The palace is beautiful and although it was busy, the crowds ebbed at times so it was possible to find less busy parts. The audio guide was very good, but often the room numbers weren't at the start of the room and sometimes we could see the numbers at all which was frustrating. The Hall of Mirrors did not disappoint, I've read about it for years and loved finally seeing it. Yummy crepe in the garden cafe too. Wish it had been sunnier, but my daughter pointed out that some of the rooms were very hot and if it had been sunny they might have been unbearable so maybe it was for the best. The gardens are beautiful, and we would have loved to row on the grand canal, but not in the pouring rain!

I took advantage of this combination that allowed me to visit two sites I had decided to visit. The tickets arrived on time allowing me not to stand in line at the ticket office.

I loved seeing the gardens of Versailles and the beautiful rooms in the palace itself. I went on a Monday when it wasn't packed, so I would recommend going during the week for a smaller crowd. Another thing I loved was how getting to the palace from central Paris was so easy, i thought it would be complivcated since Versailles is way outside the city, but I was able to only take one trains so it was perfect. Overall it was a very pleasany experience. One thing I would change is buying an earlier ticket so I could spend more time there.

Hi! It was good to entrance to palace of Versailles but those kinder tickets didn't allow go to garden. Those kids tickets wich I buyed at You were for 9, 13, 15, 17 years old but in entrance at garden said those tickets allowed only visit palace and are for kinder under 6 years. So I needed to buy more 4 tickets for entrance to garden for kids.

The Palace of Versailles was very impressive, that was not my criticism but I found it a pity that there were no drinking opportunities in the gardens in the form of beer gardens like in Vienna Schönbrunn as it was also a very hot summer day. Also the garden is gigantic but not enough trees etc. in detail.

The ticket schedule was changed from 10:30 to 13:30 by a whatssap message in English, so we had to postpone lunch until the next day and stay an extra day because lunch had to be changed.

I am disappointed to see the multiplicity of prices ... my ticket didn't give me access to the gardens on special days, and this wasn't clearly explained... Between the audioguide fees, the addition of access to the gardens, the credit card is required at each stage... Discovering Versailles, having access to culture, with my daughters and my status as a job seeker is not easy even if I understand that these monuments need to be maintained. 33 euros for the gardens, which I didn't see because we wanted to go to the Trianon, is quite expensive...

Purchase and entry without a problem, the shilling well explained. However, Versailles itself is a bit disappointing. The gardens lost a lot without the sight of working fountains

We needed to turn our voucher into a ticket, but the instructions for where to do this, sent us on a wild goose chase. There was no one and no where to do this. Finally, in desperation, we rang the local partner, who sent tickets via SMS. Very poor start to our experience.

Hello, The entrance was on time. At reception, you have to queue to get the map of the estate. Perhaps there should be free distribution. It was difficult to visit the apartments, given the number of visitors. Magnificent stroll through the gardens. Too bad the fountains only work in 2 specific places. The Trianon and the Queen's Hamlet, superb visits. Best regards.

The Palais is explendid, I was not happy with the water fountains close. It is summer why are they closed? We were waiting for over 40 minutes and they never opened 😢

The château tour was perfect. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. However, we were disappointed by the gardens, where only one fountain was in operation. It seems that the fountains only work on weekends. Considering the price we paid, I think we could have benefited from this. One last thing: water fountains would be very welcome, especially in hot weather.

That the entry was timed so queues were not long . It was a very hot day 37 degrees, so we didn't want to wait long outside. But, what was not great was there were too many people allowed into Versailles at any one time. This should be limited & yes people do go slowly but it was far too crowded and not a great experience at all. when we were inside. That was disappointing. If entries are timed then other people should could come in at a later time. On our visit it was sometimes impossible to see things. Do that was not great.

A very good combo to know both of the most important thing for the artists and the investigators on the historical things.

I loved to see the palace and the gardens, there is so much interesting history. Tickets were just fine, very quick responses to questions.

I loved the gardens, as for the palace- the viewing of the rooms were too crowded and too hot. I was also disappointed to find that my ticket purchase for my daughter and myself did not include access to the gardens when it appeared to be included with our purchase on the website. Not fair to make people pay extra to enjoy the gardens. This show of hierarchy is wrong, come on - they had her head for this!

It said that you have to be half an hour before but when you arrive there you have to wait in the line of your exact time. The lines are well organized and it have access to the gardens included (I don't know why the description said "optional". I went at the end of June and is very hot. If you plan goin to the gardens they have optional transport. A little shuttle cart (like a train) that covers half the gardens and make several stops and also mini golf carts for 4 people (more expensive). With the mini golf cart you can explore more of the gardens. The palace has a restaurant inside and a La Duree store. In the garden stops they have also a restaurant and gelato carts.

I enjoyed very much my visit to Palace of Versailles, excep that I had to take a street outside the Palace to go to the Petit Palais: It took me about 20 minutes and I got there wet, because it was raining. Visitors should be allowed to use a internal path, that could be shorter than going outside.

Nothing to love, it was just a bus ride and a ticket, and the reseller provided bad information where to meet the Gray line crew that was providing the bus ride.

The attraction was good but very disappointed with the tickets. During my purchase I selected 2 adults and 2 kids with garden access. On entry to the garden I was sent to purchase tickets for my kids. Very disappointing service.

It was the only platform where I was able to buy tickets for the palace and gardens of Versalles. Everything was sold out, which scared me to death. A wonderful experience, I highly recommend it.

The directions for leaving were clear. Coming back however.... there was some confusion leaving because there were different groups getting on the same bus but nothing was explained to everyone so people thought they were going to be left behind.

We enjoyed seeing the Palace as it is something we have wanted to do for ages. It is pretty awesome and so big! As I am disabled, we didn't go round the whole palace but saw what we wanted to. Unfortunately when there are so many people it detracts from the enjoyment and some people are very rude, pushing and shoving.

Ticketing experience was fine although you still have to queue to exchange your voucher. Organisational in Versailles sadly lacking. Hired an audio guide which didn't direct you where to begin following exit from ticket area. Staff unhelpful and by the time we reached the state apartments it was very crowded, wish we had started there. Mini train expensive at €9.50 each but worth doing to reach the restaurant at the end of gardens La Flottille. We were too late for lunch but enjoyed the afternoon menu, I had ravioli which was delicious and my husband had Parisian salad which was huge.

We bought a total of 5 tickets. 3 adults and 2 children. We were told that entry to the gardens was included. However, entry to the gardens was not a problem for the adults. But the tickets for the children. We were told that admission to the gardens had to be paid for separately. Unfortunately, I couldn't find or read this information anywhere.

Although I had correctly stated my daughter's age for admission to Versailles PLUS Gardens, I had to buy a ticket to enter the gardens.

The castle is very impressive, as are the huge gardens. Thanks to pre-booked tickets with a set entry time, we got in on time and without having to wait. We could stay and look around as long as we wanted.
