lots of people but optimal organization of time slots, same for security control and only downside, 1 hour before the visit we learned that the person who was supposed to manage the group would not be available, which in the end was not a bad thing because we were able to manage our visit at our own pace and that visit must be done at least once.

The best experience in Rome. I booked Skip-the-Line Tickets with hosting, we met at the meeting point, they gave me a sticker there, and then they guided us all the way to the staircase inside the Vatican Museums. I was moved to tears by this art; most of the time my head was tilted up toward the magnificent ceilings, and I would probably even return there again.

The experience was very rewarding, the key tour is well organized thanks to the map and the self-guide, there are vouchers from time to time where you can sit down to contemplate the museum pieces and hear the explanations, see that I didn't appreciate and the queue before entry which lasted 20 minutes even with the purchase of the queue-cutting ticket.

Myself and a friend attended and thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Jessica. She was very knowledgeable and avoided the big large flag carrying which made everything more personable. Jessica taken us through three museums, finishing at the Sistine Chapel before carrying on to St Peter's Bassilica.

Truly amazing experience, very few people , real line jumping even though there might not have been a need for it, nice and knowledgeable girls. The Museums don't need my review, they have that of the whole world coming to visit. When you leave you already take to when to go back.

The museum was great, but the audio guides for Castel Sant'Angelo are a complete disaster. The order doesn't fit at all and the specified official tour points do not exist in part. Better to buy tickets directly on site, is cheaper and goes just as fast with the admission

It was excellent especially the girl from the office that validates the tours who ran with me to get on time to the bus that makes the tour of the Vatican gardens, because I arrived late because there was a lot of traffic in Rome and also the rain. I am happy and grateful.

I booked tickets online a few days before the visit, it was an excellent decision. The staff at the entrance were kind and efficient, everything went quickly. Vatican is a world in its own right, no words are needed, a must see and visit!

I loved how we got to skip the que. there was a massive line outside and we just walked straight past them and then got left on our own to go explore and weren't rushed or anything could take our time around.

Due to the winter season and our visit was aftre 04 p.m. the evening comes earlier than in the summer. Unfortunately, lighting in some rooms was not good enough to see the exhibits well.

Hello, I went to Rome for the first time between October 30 and November 2, 2025. I booked my ticket online before my departure. On the afternoon of October 31, I planned to visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. What I really appreciated about Headout was that someone picked me up at the meeting point I'd been given. He was a very nice young man, whose first name I've unfortunately forgotten. He accompanied me inside, to the entrance of the Vatican Museums. I'm sorry I didn't have the presence of mind to give him a small ticket to thank him for picking me up at the meeting point, all the way inside the Museums. I wish I could tip him online via the Headout app. I don't know if it's possible, but I'll ask. So, when you enter the museum, you have the option of taking the escalator to get to the beginning of the tour, or going up the floors by taking a huge spiral staircase, quite wide. As you go up the spiral staircase, you discover various objects of African culture, protected in large display cases or hung on the walls. A magnificent sight. Then you have to pass through long corridors, including the Egyptian Gregorian Museum, which I absolutely had to visit. I'm passionate about ancient Egypt. 😉 After a very long walk through large galleries, where you can see a lot of valuable ancient objects and richly decorated ceilings, it's time to finally arrive at the Sistine Chapel. 😊 It's 40 metres long, 13 metres wide and 21 metres high. The Sistine Chapel's vault originally depicted a starry blue sky, as can still be seen in many churches. I assure you, your wait is well rewarded. The frescoes in the vault are very colorful and quite simply magnificent. It's a shame we're not allowed to take photos and videos. In fact, during my visit, several visitors were called to order by the security guards, as they had had time to take photos and selfies... In fact, the Vatican forbids tourists to take photos of the striking frescoes in the Sistine Chapel and, more generally, the entire collections of its museums, which are already saturated with visitors, in order to facilitate their transit. In any case, since I was able to visit the Trevi Fountain before I left and throw my coins in, I'm sure I'll be back in Rome one day. 😊 But be careful! For this to work, tradition says that you have to turn your back to the fountain, have your coin or coins in your right hand, and throw them over your left shoulder! If you throw one coin into the fountain, you're sure to return to Rome, but you don't know when... if you throw two coins, you're sure to meet love, and if you throw three or more coins, you're sure to marry "a Roman". On that last point, I disagree. Lol! There you go. Anyway, I'll definitely be coming back to Rome one day and visiting the Sistine Chapel and the other places in the Vatican that I didn't have time to see on my first visit. Nice visit to all and thanks again to Headout, for this organization. 😉

Visiting the Sistine Chapel in Rome was an unforgettable experience—truly a highlight of my trip to Italy. The moment I stepped inside, I was completely captivated by the beauty and detail surrounding me. Michelangelo’s ceiling is even more breathtaking in person; no photo could ever capture the depth, color, and emotion in every panel. Despite the crowds, the atmosphere felt almost reverent. The soft hush in the room gives you space to take it all in and really appreciate the artistry. I found myself lingering, noticing new details each time I looked up—especially in The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment. It’s impossible not to feel humbled by the sheer scale and skill of the work. The entire Vatican Museums experience leading up to the chapel was also fantastic, filled with incredible art and history, but the Sistine Chapel was the perfect grand finale. Thanks to these tickets, I felt like I was living a dream. The line for those who did not have them was about three hours, we arrived nearby, asked where the dedicated aisle was that is written on the ticket, and the staff directed us to guys with yellow vests. It's all very clear once there! We got in the small line for those who had this "skip the line" ticket, there were 10 people in all!!!! Very friendly staff and very clear route with comprehensive explanations. In short, in very few minutes we were inside this wonderful museum, without stress and with the right serenity to face this exciting adventure., a museum that will leave you breathless. I am extremely satisfied and recommend everyone to organize in advance and purchase this skip-the-line ticket! I am extremely satisfied with the purchase and am happy to share it with everyone!

Visit the gardens, it's exceptional and in a small group, so very pleasant! I was worried before the appointment because it wasn't very clear, in fact the meeting point is in the museum after the security checks, where you had to show up with your e-ticket at least 25 minutes before the meeting time (you have to take into account how long you'll have to queue before arriving at the security checks). After that, you're completely taken care of, which is very reassuring. An unexpected bonus: we were given an audioguide in the language of our choice on board the mini-bus. The staff were very courteous, and everything was in place to make us feel at ease. We were then left at the entrance to the tour as advertised.

Booking a hosted skip the line ticket made it so easy for us to get into the Vatican Museums. After receiving detailed instructions on where to meet, we met our host,Jonathan, at the Inside Out office, which was very close to the main entrance of the museum. I think without a host, we would have waited in the very long line and maybe even the wrong one. Jonathan got us to the front of the line, through security, and escorted us right up to the 2nd entrance where we got in quickly. We spent about 2 hours exploring until we reached the Sistine Chapel. It was a wonderful experience, and yes, we would book it again. Tip: Bring headphones so you can listen to their provided audio tour on your phone or on the MP3 device you can rent at the museum for 8€.

I've paid extra for audiguides to be included, $8 each on top of the tickets price. When we arrived, the guide printed out tickets and told us that there're no extras on my ticket even though I have a transaction receipt saved in my online bank which clearly showing the price not just for the tickets and fees. They also didn't issue a proper receipt to my email outlining what's included, I believe that was on purpose. The lady agreed to give me access to the POP guide on the spot, but it was inconvenient and not what I paid extra for. Also she gave me this negative attitude with no evidence that no extras are on my ticket and had no explanation for the transaction that's saved on my banking app for the head out website. 3 stars for this service.

Visiting the Vatican was truly an unforgettable experience. Before going, I could not have imagined the size and beauty of the buildings — they were far beyond what any photo could show. The guide contacted us beforehand with clear instructions about when and where to arrive, which made everything easy and well-organized. Once we got there, the guide helped us find the right line and explained everything in a friendly and professional way. Although there were many people, it never felt too crowded or stressful. The atmosphere was calm and respectful. The paintings and decorations were simply indescribable — their detail and colors left me speechless. It was an inspiring and breathtaking visit that I would highly recommend to anyone.

On November 18th, my daughter and I had the pleasure of visiting the Vatican accompanied by our guide, Francesca (name to be confirmed). From the outset, she conducted the tour with a high level of professionalism and courtesy, immediately putting me at ease despite my initial nervousness about the meeting. Her knowledge of the Vatican Museums was truly impressive. The way she presented the history, context, and significance of the artworks was both eloquent and engaging. Her explanations transformed the visit into a captivating and memorable experience. The entire tour proceeded flawlessly, and we felt well cared for throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone seeking a well-organised and enriching Vatican visit.

There was a blip meeting up with the host ,as we thought that it was a group thing and nobody was at the meeting place. The host text us when we'd made our way up to the entrance to the museum. We could not use the bar code on the confirmation as this is NOT a ticket. Apparently we were to ring the bell at the address but there was no indication to do that on our confirmation letter and the door where the address was, was for several.properties. It would be helpful if this was noted. Nevertheless our host found us and was really helpful at getting us straight on past the crowds. We were in there hours, lots to see and amazing collection. The Sistine Chapel was beautiful and steeped in the history of past conclaves.

I loved skipping the lines to get into the museums and see everything, but it was more of an entry fee than a tour. There was no tour guide or audio; it was a self-guided walkthrough. The gardens were interesting and pretty, but it would have been nice if the bus had stopped occasionally so we could get out and enjoy the view better. A lot of the view was on one side of the bus or the other. Headout provided the ticket, but the museum provided the entrance and bus tour, so we can't blame Headout for what we received. I would recommend adding a stop or two to let people appreciate the gardens and fountains more, as well as audio for the museums included.

Appointed time was very good , the only thing that we did not know/appreciate was that the Vatican Museums is one way system as actually intended to skip the first 3-4 Museums , as a) Egyptian seen much better in Torino b) Roman/Greek better in Turkey but this is not your fault but Museum policy- only by the time you get to the v.interesting stuff like Tapestries, Maps , Sala di Constantino etc you are already very tired at age 70/63, with no where to sit and luckily you can sit at the Sistine Chaprl and really enjoy that - spectacular and very interesting with Audio- guide . Another Museum defect is the availabilty of toilets especially for the Ladies

We went on a monday but it was still super crowded. Thanks to this ticket we only stayed in the queue for 5-10 mins( including security check ). Guide was friendly and knowledgable and went through most of the important parts. Locating the guide was easy as well but the tour was delayed for 10 min. We werent able to see all the parts of the musuem so be aware of that .As for Sistine Chapel, it was hot and stuffy inside as it was full of people and be well informed that no pictures are allowed inside. Overall was a good experience but i wish we coulve seem more of the museum.

Our tour guide was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable, kind, and courteous. The ear piece for the audio equipment was difficult to wear around the ear and it was uncomfortable. The tour guide had some issues with the microphone. But she replaced it during the tour and it fixed the problem. It was just SOO crowded and the security guards were understandably pushy. We learned that 2025 is a pilgrimage year - hence an extra heavy crowd. But we found it difficult to truly enjoy the sites. Ee learned a lot from our lovely tour guide, though, and are very grateful for that!

My visit to the Vatican Museums was truly wonderful. I’m especially grateful that we could enter without waiting in any queue, which was a great relief as I was traveling with my 75-year-old mother. A kind staff member accompanied us to the elevator, making everything smooth and comfortable. The audio guide was incredibly helpful and enriched the experience with clear, beautiful explanations. Every worker we met was polite, patient, and supportive. Overall, it was a memorable, heartfelt visit, and I’m thankful for the care and kindness we received.

We had an excellent experience on our guided tour of the Roman Colosseum. Our guide, Enmanuel, was amazing: very friendly, professional and with an impressive knowledge of the history of the Colosseum and Rome, he explained everything in a clear, interesting and well-paced way, making the tour dynamic and easy to follow. In addition, he organized the time of the visit perfectly, which made us enjoy every moment without rushing. We are very happy and grateful for her excellent work, an experience that we highly recommend!

The whole museum was a unique experience, it was fascinating to see the sculptures and mosaics, to see every detail is incredible, so much perfection in the finishes, without having at that time the materials for its elaboration, especially the details and painting in the Egyptian room, tiny figures detailed to perfection in stone or wood. It was a great experience that I could share with my daughter who is studying architecture, she was also fascinated.

Well, the truth, as for the history of everything, is what I was most interested in, and that's why I wanted to go, but seeing the amount of public attending in all places and in particular by the route of the museum, in which you could not even breathe, with crowds and stagnation, it was impossible to really appreciate anything. Not only my comments, but also those of most of the attendees. A pity, that there is moderate attendance control.

This tour for the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel was an excellent choice for us, we were guided through to the front of the line and guided inside to the starting point of the Vitican courtyards and gardens which lead to the first museum with the statue Apollo! We were really happy we chose this as we saw a huge line down the block to purchase tickets - but we skipped all that saving us so much time. Bravo & Thank you!

My guide Nadia was warm as well as well informed. She interlaced historic facts, art trivia and humour into her narrative, making the entire experience rivetting and enjoyable. She wa able to answer most of the questions and offer additional information on exhibits and artworks and demonstrated strong knowledge of the artists and masters that had worked on various frescos, paintings and sculptures we came across.

I'm so glad I did this tour! Getting through the lines and navigating the Vatican museums would have been very overwhelming if Inhad gone solo. Our guide, Ginnie was really engaging, very knowledgable and passionate about the subject matter and her job. There is so much to see we could have spent days there. So the 2 hour tour was a faster pace, getting us through the highlights. Excellent for a first visit!

We arrived 30 minutes early as recommended, the entrance was quick and everything was well organized. We took a bus tour of the Vatican Gardens, but it was the museum that amazed us. There are several rooms, each more beautiful than the last. The Sistine Chapel surprised us with its simplicity, we were expecting something more monumental, but it doesn't disappoint at all. We left enchanted. Today we would have booked a guided tour, we booked without this option.

You are picked up at the corner by the guides and are practically handed over once you are inside the museum with the guide on duty. No lines They are already with ears for all the crossings and security gates which allows you to be agile and calm without any stress. A real wonder and the guide we had was a cutie with accurate data and lots of perfect information. A great experience recommended

Truly excellent experience. I went the day just before I left. Make sure you get tickets ahead of time so you have someone to guide you through the process and then you get to walk around after going through security. The audio guide is an educational bonus for 8 euro but not a must. Took me 2 hours, and tried to spend 10 minutes in Sistine Chapel. If you go to Rome, there's no reason not to go here!

We didn't queue at all to get into the Vatican Museums/Sistine Chapel. This saved us a lot of time and fatigue. The guides made sure we didn't get lost and accompanied us all the way into the museum. We don't regret this booking, despite the higher price than on the official website.

Fast entrance to the Vatican Museum saving a lot of time. Due to problem with the bus services that day in Rome, we arrived a couple of minutes late and could find our host. 10 minutes after the time slot booked, I received a message from the host asking about our location. The actual Vatican meuseum itself was stunning , some of the worlds great art works and historical artifacts are in that place and it was very clean and well run. The sheer numbers of people does mean that a very efficienct ticket way of entry and flow of visitors is required , so booking your ticket does help with your time in any queing , and your ticket is inspected.

We took the unaccompanied skip-the-line ticket and everything went very well: we arrived 15 minutes early as instructed and one of the ticket controllers showed us where to wait for our entry time. At the scheduled time they let us in for security checks and then once inside there were no problems. Excellent experience

The ease of ticket collection was excellent, as was skipping the line! You still have a short queue inside but nothing too bad. The Vatican is incredible to visit - so much to see, allow yourself plenty of time. A thoroughly good visit! Book early as the price is dynamic and is more expensive closer to the visit and depending on time you visit!.

It was an interesting insight into different styles of art through the ages, catching a glimpse into the society and life at different periods of time. The intricate artwork and the amount of time and effort that must have gone into each piece inspires to achieve excellence in our own time, to leave a legacy for the future generations to come.

The experience at the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel was unforgettable. We were scheduled to enter at 4:30pm and got in at 4:35pm, the line was long but things moved fast! Inside we had no problems with the crowds. Everything went according to schedule and I was amazed by the gorgeous paintings in the Sistine Chapel!

We had a hosted entrance to the Vatican to see the Sistine Chapel. Tickets were sold out for the day we were in Rome and we saw this option. Our host greeted us, walked us to the Vatican, stood in line with us until it was time for us to use our tickets to gain entrance. She was very sweet and we enjoyed chatting with her.

I am glad that we prebooked the tickets as it is almost impossible to get tickets on the day. The office to collect the tickets were close by. We took the 5pm slot and got inside by 5:30. The night view of the Vatican dome frome the museum was amazing. And yes, the artworks and especially the sistine chapel were a must see.

The experience was beautiful, but because of the bad orientation inside, they didn't want to let us into the Vatican gardens, which we had paid for, and they wouldn't even give us a paper ticket. One that just online another that it had to be paper. Finally after half an hour they gave us a paper one at least to enter the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel.

The Headout third party app was difficult to navigate. It took 30+ minutes for them to validate my purchase and I was trying to make plans and buy more tickets but needed to wait until I knew these tickets were secured. I signed up for the 830 time and my email confirmation said 830, but my actual ticket was for 9:00.

There were really a lot of people and the skip-the-line ticket served to greatly shorten the wait at the entrance, I honestly thought it was a guided tour and we could not follow along well with the audio guide. Overall, however, the visit was exciting and positive.

The Vatican museums and St Peter's excellent experience. The art and statuary were beyond what I expected. I also arrived late due to heavy traffic and a friendly young lady at the meeting place directed me tour office which issued me a ticket and directed to officials at head of line facilitated my entry.

There were long queues but we got in quickly. The history and artifacts in the museum were astounding. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had a goof sense of humour. It took 3 hours but you did not notice the time. It ended in the sistine chapel which is just out of this world. Well worth the money...

The Museum and St Peter's Basilica were beautiful and an experience not to be missed. However, both venues were overcrowded and entry was oversubscribed. We paid 21 euros for a dry pork and lettuce roll and 2 small Coca Colas ($38AU) - which I think is price gouging considering the cost of admission.

All went well with our tickets. it was crowded as it is a jubilee year. The GARDENS ARE A MUST SEE! Thanks to Viator with this offer we discovered the gardens! We had no idea vatican had such beautiful gardens to see along with museums and Cistine Chapel! all wonderful albeit crowded!

It was fantastic skipping a long lines of queues to enter Vatican City. The tour guide is rude to me when I let my young my son go to the bathroom and did not explain at all where we had to go when we got off the garden bus tour but she did not spoil our experience, it was great.

The ticket drop off point is NOT near the entrance to the museums and for a person with reduced mobility, it is a long walk! They should consider giving the tickets directly at the ticket office, since the way is not easy and it is also on the way up!

Eliza was amazing! I have been to the Sistine Chapel before but this tour made this visit so much better. I learned so much from her, she was entertaining and fun! Not to mention that we skipped past hundreds of people waiting by using this service! Everyone should do this!!

The guide was terrific... she knew the historical facts and made the tour an engaging experience. They also called me to make sure I was close before starting the tour.. I was 5 minutes away from the start of the designated start. Great experience! Lots of material covered.

In my experience skipping the line wasn't necessary. In the early morning there was little to no line. Later when we exit there was a lot of people waiting so if getting skip the line ticket just maks you wait in another line. In any other way the experience was good

Although the information we were given was clear, in the museum the queues are very badly organized and you have to queue twice as they are not clearly identified. There was less queue for people without tickets than with tickets.

We had an appointment with a very nice and friendly guide, so we went right in. The service was great. Of course, it's more expensive than buying tickets on the spot, but it's worth it if you're not staying long in Rome!

We received our tickets and got in quickly even though the other part of the group that had gotten tickets at the same time was 20 minutes late. We were able to get in without any problem. Of course the price was high but it was worth it .

Our guide, Fred, was amazing. He's an archeologist and explained the meaning and history behind whatever we looked at. He answered any questions we had and brought the visit to life to us! To my memory, the Vatican was the best experience of my life!

Julia was a brilliant guide. We learned lots about the Vatican, Rome and the modern life of Romans like her. She had worked out a great route to highlight the key works influencing Michelangelo for the Sistine Chapel which was extremely enlightening.

I loved how easy and fast the skip-the-line entrance was. The museums were stunning, especially the Sistine Chapel. Everything was well-organized, and the staff were helpful the whole time. It was an unforgettable experience and totally worth it!

We could enter and look around hiddengarden.　　 It was a great experience. Partly heavy rain came. That time, unclear binyl cover was set. That was unfortunate. And bus' audio had Japanese option. But nothing was heard. Anyway, nice tour.

I was so worried we weren't going to make it in time, as my partner and I originally got a little lost on the way. However, despite getting to the Sistine Chapel almost 30 minutes late, we were let in perfectly fine and had a smooth experience.

The museums are fantastic and really worth a visit. The Cistine Chapel is the icing on the cake! I recommend that you don't waste time queuing to get into the museums because you have to manage your time very well to see everything!

Very organized. The meeting point was well identified and the directions were very clear. Getting through without standing in the huge line saves a lot of time which I was then able to use to tour other lovely places in Rome.

The entire Vatican complex is huge and fascinating. I cannot describe the awe I felt inside the Sistine Chapel, it still gives me chills. A guided tour helps understand the incredible detail, otherwise I may not have grasped it all.

We did a self guided tour. We enjoy taking the time to read exhibit information and really look at the detail of displayed items. There are ample restrooms and the food at the various snack bars is convenient and very good quality.

Was very easy to find the store. The lady was really kind and helpful and she explained everything in detail.Skip the line was very convenient cause we entered in less than 5 minutes and the queue was really really long on that time!

We were there at 3 pm, it was crowded, but if you get there half an hour before, you can get in on time. The tour is worth seeing, but also long. The disadvantage is that you are NOT allowed to take photos in the Sistine Chapel.

The Museums were far more than I expected I would have like more time to see everything . Getting there and checking in was a bit confusing because of the large crowds. Give yourself time to sort this stuff out. Not to be missed!

Fast track into the museum. The second guide told us first, that we are not on the list. For 6 other people was the same. We all came from an other ticket company. That was a little strange. But finally we became our tickets.

It was nice to not have to stand in line for the enterence and to be instructed how the entry would work. We really enjoyed walking around in the vatican and it's a must-see. It was definitely worth the skip-the-line tickets!

In reality we shouldn't have booked. It was so busy. We did it alone with no guide. There is sooooooo much in this museam. Skip the line just meant you were added into another line although it was shorter than main queue.

It was wonderful to visit the Vatican and climbing its Dome was also very worthwhile, despite the many steps we had to climb, but it was still an incredible experience. I highly recommend this experience in Rome.

Vatican City is indeed amazing. Our guide was really very good. She made our tour very enlightening. Stunning architecture, amazing paintings and a blessed place. The prices could be a little less expensive.

No where else to find such a grand collection.. Martha the guide was experienced, but with her heavy accent I felt like I often missed out on the descriptions... would have preferred a native English guide.

The Vatican is a MUST see when visiting Rome, absolutely awesome experience regardless of faith. A place of pure history and art. Take your time as the complex is large and demands attention to all details.

The audio guide was very good and the layout was impressive. Crowding is to be expected , some sort of break or bench area between the final sections of the museum would be good.Canteen food was terrible.

After finding where we had to meet the group were lead to the museum entrance and straight in with no waiting. My son and I didn't have long enough to take our time so will be going back for another visit

Everything great, easy to buy tickets and easy to find the site. The staff was very friendly, they spoke Spanish. They accompanied us to the entrance until we passed the control, they explained everything to us. Highly recommended.

What i love about the tour is that our tour guide theresa explained everything with compassion. You can really tell that she loves her job. She wasn't rushing the tour and accommodate every questions.

The place is well maintained albeit very crowded. Security was polite even in the midst of controlling crowd order. They were helpful when we asked for directions and how to manoeuvre in the museum.

No waiting in line! We were really escorted to the entrance to the museum, skipping all those thousands of people waiting in lines probably for hours. Meeting spot was also easy to find.

It was great having a guide to point out so many items we would have missed on our own. The quality of the sound from the museum speakers was poor given all the people in the building.

Although the entrance was scheduled for 9 a.m., we arrived at 8.15 a.m. (due to crowds) and were in the museum by 8.30 a.m.. No waiting at all, apart from that inherent in the museums themselves.
