Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel Skip-the-Line Tickets

Me and my boyfriend come from Greece and Croatia. We absolutely adored the vatican museum. Not only the architecture of the building, its beautiful staircases, ceilings and floors, but mainly the variety of collections presented to us. As a greek I learned a lot about my own country as well given the opportunity to see with my own eyes the wonderful sculptures and the references to greek mythology! We did not book a tour guide but nevertheless the descriptions were completely understandable and informative. We really felt like we traveled back in time, starting with the egyptian culture and amazing collection. Even the lighting in the museum was suitable to complement the presentation! The roman and greek sculpture part of the museum made us feel as if the art was alive, watching us walk around! Natural lighting again made its own touch. The indoor gardens left us speechless and we took sometime off to gaze the scenery sarounded by beautiful nature. Nobody can describe the feeling of walking through the painted rooms since we ended up spending a lot of time observing each and every little detail on the ceilings, the painted maps around the walls and the homemade carpets. The maps taught us a lot of information and we spent some time reviewing each of them. The variation of paintings in the gallery was one of the best we have ever seen. Different artists, styles, talents and timelines filled our brains with information and our eyes with beauty. The journey was truly impressive and soul touching. It is incredible how we started "travelling" from egypt all the way to greece and italy in just one museum! All this journey along with a happy heavenly ending into the Sistine Chapel were we could rest and admire a room full of art and faith. We will definitely visit again soon and this time book in advance to get all the benefits along with the garden tour. Amazing experience for all people, kids and adults. 🙂😍

I've been to the Vatican Museums before, and both times have really been a great experience. The first time I had a 4:30pm booking on a weekday and the crowds were very little. There was still a line outside the museums we had to wait in, and another line inside to scan our passes. This time we booked with Headout for 8:30am on a tuesday morning. It felt much easier as we were escorted as a group through the lines by simply scanning our tickets. It was also not too crowded during that time! We personally wanted to have an entire morning and Headout had tickets left (The Vatican website did not) for those times. It was nice because we were not rushing at all. The guide was spectacular. She spoke 6 different languages ( she's from Algeria?) and told me some tips how to enjoy more the tour. The app downloaded before the trip was so helpful too. The price is also affordable. Glad that I bought it since I was able to skip the line. Otherwise it's gonna be 2 hours waiting in the line which something I couldnt affors. I was bunmed that I didn't get to see Sistince chapel since it was closed for the day for renovation but overall 9/10 experience for me. Highly recommended

Here's a professional reviewer. This is my third visit to the Vatican, and I'm really delighted. There were hardly any lines, the staff was super friendly, and everything was much better organized than I remembered. If I could add anything, it would be a couple more signs to guide people when leaving the museum, which would be great. Also, the prices weren't too bad in the cafeteria. I highly recommend a visit, but I did go during the off-season.

Almost everthing from the start the explanation for the michael angelos painting before entering is more nicer so when we were there we are just enjoying all the paintings as its been explained well by our tourist guide is too many to remember but mostly we did remember the explanations.. we love all the ceiling and we really enjoyed everything and i hope we can go back again and bring our children for next time around. The Vatican Museum is a phenomenal treasure trove of history and art from many countries around the world, collected over many centuries. Meticulously collected and sometimes acquired, these works of art have adorned the chambers of many popes. Over time, the decision was made to open them to the general public, and they remain so to this day. I highly recommend it! This extraordinary treasure trove is truly worth visiting.

The visit was very well organized. Everyone gathered on time in one place, the guide took us to the entrance, we got in quickly without queuing, and picked up audio guides. The museums are amazing, the beauty is indescribable! A touch of eternity and centuries-old Italian culture! Of course, the Sistine Chapel is simply a revelation! And I also really liked how clean the restrooms were, which is also very important with such a large crowd of people! A very good experience visiting the Vatican!

Visiting the Sistine Chapel was an incredibly emotional experience. Seeing such extraordinary monuments and sculptures with my own eyes made me feel deeply connected to the past. Standing there, you can almost imagine how people lived centuries ago and how they managed to create something so powerful, detailed, and timeless without the technology we have today.

We went to pick up the tickets at the meeting point... he explained the basics of the itinerary and the rules inside the grounds very clearly, and finally he took the whole group to the door. Everything is beautiful, but the basilica is the most remarkable... because you can't record or take photos in the chapel.

Having the skip the line was a real godsend, and worth the price increase. The host outside who greeted us was very nice and explained everything in detail. We didn't even wait in line at the checkpoints, and as soon as we passed those There is a free coat check area where we can leave umbrellas and backpacks.

It was truly the best thing I did on my trip. I was able to get in without waiting in line for 30 minutes and enjoy the back part of the Vatican. From there, I went into the museums, but be careful because on Saturdays, the Sistine Chapel closes at 2 p.m. I recommend going for the first tour and booking in advance.

Even when it rained, there were buses with shelters. The skip-the-line option is excellent. You pay a little more, but you avoid hours of queuing.

It's a tour that's hard to describe in words alone. The Vatican Museum is a sensory immersion in history. The headout ticket was very practical to buy and worked perfectly, but you have to enter at the time you choose. There was a huge queue of people wanting to get in, but with the scheduled ticket you can go straight in, it was very worthwhile and the cost is the same. Get ready to see everything from a simple Roman fragment over 2000 years old to Michelangelo's paintings. Each room is a spectacle in itself, with its unique decoration, perfect paintings and adequate preparation. Also be prepared to walk around a lot, as it's a long way, but it's worth it for the wealth of artifacts and details. There are quality restrooms, a cafeteria, a gift store and a beautiful garden to relax in. Going to the Vatican Museum is a "must" if you're in Rome. You'll love it. We loved it.

We enjoyed very much our visit, as we could admire all the pieces of art! We could not keep a count of how many art pieces we saw! Discovering all the Vatican Museums, spending as much time as we wanted and finally visiting the Sistine Chapel, very early in the morning when it was already getting crowded, was a truly wonderful experience.

If you're wondering if it's worth buying a ticket to have a faster passage, it's really worth it. Buying a ticket online allows you to go to the queue, where you wait about 30 minutes (without a ticket, the queue time can be up to 4h). The museum is really very extensive, I recommend ordering a visit in the morning so that you have the whole day to see and be rested. I really highly recommend seeing these museums, truly an amazing experience.

We appreciated the unique opportunity to see works of art from all cultures and historical periods of humanity in one place. It was an incredible journey through fascinating manifestations of the intelligence and authentic human spirit of our ancestors (in stark contrast to the era of artificial intelligence we are currently experiencing). It was an experience worth having (at least) once in a lifetime!

You'll need this. At first, you might think there is a way through. But when passing the line and latest by being inside the basilica you notice that time plays a role. So, you better skip the line. Listen exactly what group you belong to not to get lost. "Inside out Italy" is well organized. Everybody is very helpful and friendly. And if you want there is more to see. I am sure you won't regret it.
