Teenagers are too sensitive nowadays. This show doesn't help the cause at all!

I watched it with my teenage kids. I simply hugged them at the end of it and had a long chat about it at lunch.

Touching

Very nicely written show. I guess I am too old to fully understand it but the acting and all was good.

No wonder they made this show as a summer project for parents of my son's class. It's so important for parents to understand their kids perspective! Everything about the show is brilliant.

Cannot stress the importance of watching this show if you have teenage kids! The acting is so real and raw.

I loved Ben Platt's acting, reminded me of my agnst ridden brother.

It was tough to find tickets but a friend suggested Headout. They even hand deliver the tickets at the theatre.

Went with my 15 year old son and couldn’t help but feel for the protagonist. Loved the show. Brilliant storyline and very relatable for not only teenagers, but parents as well. The music was excellent too. Well done, Ben Platt, you’re going to go places.

I was questioning the sanctity of the musical, considering it was 2 and a half hours long and revolved around some really sensitive issues in today’s world. Wasn’t sure they would portray the essence just right, but I stood corrected. Dear Evan Hansen was hands down one of the best musicals I’ve seen to date. Thank you Headout for the random pop-up for this musical, without which I would’ve never considered going. Loved it!

Nice musical. But I didn’t get to see Ben Platt act, which was a real let-down. The understudy was good, just not brilliant.

What a powerful performance. You will instantly fall in love with Ben Platt. Such a strong storyline, a lot of drama packed into it and brilliant casting. Be sure to catch the show when Ben Platt is performing though, he really breathes life into the character. I’ve seen many musicals before, but this one was just so relatable, as a teenager.

I will admit that this show is not what most people would enjoy. The plot is just a tad bit darker than the rest out there, which basically involves unicorns farting rainbows. This musical touches upon really serious issues that teenagers go through at that age, the social pressures and ethical values that they pick up along the journey. I watched this musical with my teenage daughter and have been able to connect with her a lot better ever since. Would definitely recommend watching with your children.

This show is nothing but a tumultous emotional roller coaster. While I read reviews stating about how 'powerful' it is, it is infact a show about nothing but a bunch of teenagers and their anxiety. Not worth your time!

I'm an avid theatre goer and I've watched one too many plays on stage every year. However, Dear Evan Hansen took my breath away. The way this play moved me, compelled me to write a review for this. Although we couldn't watch the show with the real actor playing Evan, the understudy also did a pretty amazing job.

Took my 17 year old son for this play and we both aren't ashamed to admit that we ended up sobbing by the end of it. Really, no other play captures the struggles of growing up as beautifully as Dear Evan Hansen does! Was trying to source the tickets from quite a while, i suggest booking in advance as the theatre tends to fill up super soon.
