Anne Frank Story and World War II Walking Tour

Our guide Marlene was terrific and sensitively and respectfully guided us through Jewish history in Amsterdam during World War II. In addition, she guided us through major highlights of the city along our way, and tied it in nicely to the experiences of Anne Frank and her family. She was a pleasure to spend time with despite cold and wet weather along the way. Highly recommend!

We appreciated the guide's knowledge, the places visited and the commentary. However, we were very disappointed not to have visited the house where Anne Frank and her family lived. The story of Anne Frank has enabled you to organize this tour. This is not what we were looking for when we booked this tour. We wanted to visit the house.

The trail in Anne Frank's footsteps is very well detailed and supported by Xavier's rich commentary. He brings to life the settlement of the Jews in Holland and the sad fate they suffered under Nazism. The Frank family is the main thread. Only one regret: the cancellation of the visit to Anne Frank's house shortly beforehand.

The historical background was very well explained, and the guide's command of the French language was even more impressive.

Manuel was excellent We learned so much and really felt that the tour ticked all the boxes, We were lucky to have a personal tour as we were the only two on that day! 100% worth the experience

Very interesting historical points. It could have included a bit more of the history of the city itself and the country as well, to put it in context. But overall it was very good

We had a problem understanding the starting points for the tours, as we were in a foreign country, so it was difficult to find your way around and there was a language barrier. It would be nice to have a map or to be clearer about the starting point. We had booked 2 tours one behind the other, and it would have been preferable to block the time slots, as the lack of information meant that we arrived late for the second tour and had to postpone it until the next day, adding a sum of money.

Gauthier is a friendly, competent guide who explains things very well and knows his subject very well! I really enjoyed our visit, and so did my teenage daughter, who loves Anne Frank!

Faulty booking process. I thought I'd booked for the Anne Frank Museum, and ended up on this tour, fortunately it was interesting.

The visit but we thought we could book the visit of Otto's factory and Anne Frank's hiding place, but we are directed with your site on the visit of the Jewish quarter only......dommage

The guide was very interesting. On the other hand, I deplore the fact that 80% of people think they're getting a tour of the Anne Frank cache when they're not. This in no way detracts from the quality of the tour, but it does show a certain kind of rip-off that's not really pleasant.

Josefina is a great patient, cheerful and knowledgeable, we are all delighted. Regarding the service, I had problems getting there, they didn't give me an answer or a solution. I didn't like that. Luckily I met Josefina on the way and she accepted.

I was the only person on the tour with the guide & got a real personal experience. The guide was great & full of knowledge.

It should be clarified that the tour does not include the entrance to Anne Frank's house... this is not the responsibility of the guide who was great Edwin.

Emilylee was very knowledgeable about WWll and Ann Frank. She was very personable and smiled upon greeting us which is always a plus in my book. She conducted the tour at a comfortable pace and was patient in answering our many questions. I'm a WWll history enthusiast and learned numerous facts about the experience in the Netherlands that I had not learned in reading numerous books on the resistance movement. A minor suggestion I would offer is to mention Audrey Hepburn who was Dutch and played her part in the resistance even though she was quite young. Also noteworthy was the fact that Nazi representatives visited the US south in the 30's to observe how Blacks in the south were marginalized as a guide to how they would eventually treat the Jews as a prelude to their final efforts to exterminate them.
