Combo: Basilica Cistern Skip-the-Line Tickets with Audio Guide + Bosphorus Daytime or Sunset Cruise

I thought I would get headphones as the audio guide. Our phones were low on battery and couldn't download the guide 😞😞😞😞😞

The experience of the cistern basilicrwas good, howeuthe skip the line ticket should realistically be just called online ticket as there was still a long queue to get in. It would also be better if there is suggestion to download the audio tour in advance. The code itself took a lot of try before it was recognised so not sure if it can actually be downloaded in advance.

Fast-track entry was definitely worth it. The eternal queue would certainly have taken a long time! The cistern is also beautiful - and worth admiring. However, as with all sights, there are so many people around. The price for just under 30 EUR is high - but of course that is the case everywhere. There were no audio guides. So you don't need to book one.

It's a phenomenal place, so atmospheric, must be amazing empty. Maybe there are small group tours when it's the sole group in there but we didn't find any. You need to get in there at opening or maybe mid-afternoon when we noticed smaller queues at the big attractions. We paid for skip-the-line and a member of staff told us there was not a separate line which was clearly not true.

Skipped the line and went straight in. Well worth seeing this, nothing quite like it. The audio guide you listen to is also good. Would recommend.

Watch-out, you may buy a ticket for a certain time BUT the cruise is run by Dentur Avrasya on Kabataş Pier. So they have their own specific cruise times. I recommend checking ahead, and not just appearing at your booked time. We turned up at 10:45am (ready for 11:00am), and were told the cruise is at 12:45pm - so come back at 12:30pm. The cruise travels north and sticks close to the golden horn bank, and turns around back south at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge. And then sticks close to the Asian side. Because of this, I recommend getting a seat on the Port side of the boat (left). Note, the boat reverses out of the dock. The seats are just plastic garden seats that you can move around as you require. There is an audio guide. But it partly becomes obsolete when parts of the audio guide blast out of their own speaker in Turkish and then English.

Skiptheline worked great, we enered very quick otherwise line was very long. But audio guide not working inside because there is no mobile network there. So no point of it. Better to take on place. Advise to go there not on weekends, because its difficult to enjoy the place when its over crowded. The place worth to go.

The attraction itself is a must see, in my pinion. However, I was unable to access the audio guide that came with the ticket pirchase and had to purchase the audio guide at the basilica; and I found the guide not useful. Overall, it was a worthwhile visit.

The purchasing of tickets was smooth and using them was even easier. The instructions were detailed and simple to follow. The Basilica Cistern is a must see ...calm and beautifully set out. The lighting was amazing and the sculptures atmospheric

The cistern is an absolute highlight! Impressive. We were there early in the morning at 8:45 and were allowed in at 9:5!

28 years since our last visit and it was just as memorable. We used the fast track tickets which vastly improved our experience.

L'audio guida offline non funzionava e i numeri sulla planimetria non coincidevano con l'audio. Per la crociera il battello era pessimo il più scadente utilizzato nei viaggi della mia vita oltre che l'audio guida non era tradotta in italiano . Il prezzo non vale l'esperienza se rapporto il costo del battello della linea pubblica. Non lo consiglierei. Inoltre per l'accesso alla cisterna non abbiamo avuto nessun salta coda ; abbiamo fatto una cosa più lunga del biglietto classico

Arrived a few minutes after 9am opening to find a line half way up the block, but then realized I chose the SKIP THE LINE option, I breezed in. There are two lines, one along the wall and the other STL option right next to it but sort of street side. I was maybe one of the first 20 people in the door Very pleased I went with that option. A tiny bit disappointed that the downloaded audio didn't work, I had listed to it the night before so I had a good idea what to expect, but would have been nice if it had worked as advertised.

C'était vraiment pas mal avec un peu de vent frais, c'est top ! On peut découvrir les paysages et monuments, c'est magnifique !

Skipping the line saved us at least 90 minutes. Awesome and worth the little extra cost as opposed to paying on the day. The Cistern is incredible and definitely worth a visit. As we entered so quickly I forgot to sort out the audio guide and only remembered when I was downstairs. Don't forget to do this.

Loved the cistern. Frustrated by the digital ticket process. I travel with an old phone and I was not able to download the app (according to Google Play it "won't work on this device" ) to obtain the ticket QR code which called quite a hassle trying to get in as apparently my confirmation number was not sufficient and for some reason the Download PDF option would t work for me either. You should email the ticket/QR code like the airlines do.

Ticketing worked okay with the help of the queue attendant lady. It was not easy, but in the end we got it done. The Basilica Cistern is a fabulous example of very ancient technology being almost superior to our modern days!
