Having pre-booked ticket makes it a breeze. I just hopped on, popped my luggage in the rack and headed upstairs for a pleasant ride to the airport. It's always a nice opportunity for downtime, especially with a good audiobook. The bus ride is smooth and comfortable.

Melbourne airport to southern cross station. Thought it was a half hour trip. A marathon was being run, streets were closed causing a delay. If there had been some notice given at the airport I would have caught an earlier bus from the airport. A couple of announcements over the PA would have been good. The ticked boxes are not correct system forces you to tick boxes.

Easy to use - although ticket in return to airport did not scan properly for both travellers but they said Headout can be slow and temperamental sometimes. Didn't affect our travel plans

Very easy to book a ticket. A few kiosks to book through at the queue entrance, but I booked on my phone while waiting in line.
Buses arriving every few minutes, so often less wait time than in a taxi queue!

I got my luggage off the baggage carousel and walked out the sliding doors where the sky bus was waiting. Jumped in, stowed my luggage, got a seat and got dropped off at Southern cross station to catch the train to where I need to go. The journey takes half hour from the airport to the station, but you don't have to walk across the road or try & find where the taxis are or the uber pickup point is, which keeps changing. All at a fraction of the cost of a taxi or an Uber.
