The monastery is magnificent. The interior is truly splendid, and the facade is also very impressive. The church is quite pretty.
The visit is quick.
But it's very crowded. Estimated waiting time was 2 hours. But fortunately, families with strollers get priority access without having to queue! Thank you for this.

It's a magnificent (if somewhat empty) space that transports us to another era. The church was being renovated, so there's nothing to see.

Very easy to buy tickets, although I was not able to take advantage of the 10% I got. The convent is beautiful. But in my opinion it could cost a tad less. There is only the outside porch tour to do.

It was the fastest booking I have ever made online in Portugal and the easiest and most understandable.

Although the queue at the entrance was very long, the entry times were not long. Jeronimus Monastery is a tourist attraction not to be missed.

Cloister of the monastery with its magnificent decoration. So many details, full of history, evocative of the golden age of Portuguese discoveries

Beautiful architecture. It was very busy so maybe oversold tickets. I loved the ppportjnity to enter the church and after the line went down, walk and explore the monastery grounds. It's was a beautiful day with rain and the sun came out during my visit.

The monastery courtyard is wonderful and well worth a visit. It is a pity, however, that the other parts of the monastery are inaccessible, except for the church - but for that, the waiting time is not worth it...

Although I had a ticket and was there early, I waited over an hour and found out that entry to the church costs extra. And on the bar code was a different date than on the confirmation, which made me panic whether I would even get in. It worked but it could have been without the stress. Unfortunately I couldn't get hold of anyone to solve this problem with the date

The location's architecture is fantastic, however, the queue system out is terrible. The amount you pay for access means there must be a way to improve a shockingly poor experience outside to then be replaced by such a lovely experience inside. This needs sorting out. It should not be THAT bad outside!

I’m Portuguese and I walk past the monastery almost every day, yet I rarely go inside because of the long queues. But on this particular day, I decided to wait—and finally visit.
I ended up crying like a baby. Tears of both sadness and joy. Sadness for what the monastery represents—colonialism, and all the weight that carries. Joy for its overwhelming beauty, for the effort and craftsmanship that went into creating it, for the way it stands as a reminder of history.
I often feel like other cities are more beautiful than Lisbon, but standing there, I thought—my God, look at this place.
But what moved me most was realizing that I have access to this beauty for the rest of my life. That my children, and everyone else’s children, can grow up with this around them.
I walked through those corridors feeling something I can’t quite explain—safe, at peace, deeply blessed. It was a reminder that some of the most priceless things in life are right here, freely available. And I can go there every single day.

We found the Jeronimos Monastery in Lisbon to be very beautiful, in a purely aesthetic sense, and also extraordinary as a Gothic architectural work. The stonework is detailed and beautiful. I must admit that when I went to Lisbon I was unaware of its existence.

A tour of both floors of the monastery was the same price - €40 is too much!
The church is half scaffolded, but it was free. We didn't have the pleasure of admiring it all.

Beautiful building but rather overpriced for what it's a long queue ( even with ticket though it is well managed) and a relatively short stay/ things to see / do in the monastery itself.
