The tour was fun and very informative. Unfortunately, it was the summer break, which is why maintenance work was taking place in the opera house (working platform in the orchestra pit etc.). But it wasn't a problem.

Great!!! The "lady" at the souvenir store was unable to tell me where the toilets were, but the guided tour (18.08.25/ 10:15 am) and the opera house are well worth the money. The information about the building and its use was phenomenal. I can only recommend it.

The tour in Semperoper was only 3 rooms. The guides english was OK but she spoke very fast a routine text. Due to a show in the evening we visited only a corner of the theater room. A view on the stage was 'impossble', so the tour ended quite abrupt.

We were told to be there 15 minutes before the tour started, but were still only let in at the time the tour started. I find that unfavorable. In addition, the tours were so tightly timed that the background noise was so high that we could only understand very little of the guide. But what we did understand was very interesting.

To say it in advance: The tour was great. However, it did not take place on Monday as booked, but today (Tuesday, June 12) at 15:15. At the Semperoper yesterday they were surprised that we had a booking for Monday at 15:45, when the last tour took place at 15:15 due to the evening event. It is a mystery to me how something like this can happen, because the calendar of events has surely been known for months and it would only be logical to adapt your booking mask to this calendar of events. I would have expected you to inform me about this. Instead, we waited and I then tried to clarify the matter myself. In the end, a very nice member of staff took care of our problem and made it possible for us to take part in a guided tour today. Good organization. Dresdencard for 3 days is not necessary afterwards. A day ticket or one-way ticket is better and cheaper. Public transportation is very well developed. Everything is within easy reach.

The Semperoper looks very impressive. Our tour guide was friendly, knew a lot about the history of the building and was very personable. We didn't like the fact that we had to pay 3 euros to get permission to take photos inside the building. We paid for the tour, so it should go without saying that we were allowed to take photos.
