A great day out with our visitor from Western Australia who was visiting Sydney for the first day. Also a terrific trip for me as I got to test my knowledge of the city I grew up in - AND see a number of newer locations that had sprung up in my absence. I found your app to be a little challenging to navigate as there is SO much information there, but your phone operator was terrific - even radioing the bus driver to advise minutes until they arrived at our stop.

Good tour that covered a lot of the city and was split into two. Commentary was good and not rushed. It was pre recorded which I prefer. Bus drivers were friendly. Only slightly disappointing thing us that whilst its 24 hours, the tour stops after 4 so you have you get it all done in the early part of the day.

We had a GREAT time on both the bus and the water cruise! We only went on the red route and not the blue route. There was a problem getting them to honor our ticket for the cruise. The information on the code was just for the bus, but not the cruise, even though the cruise was in the title. After working with the folks from The Big Bus, we got it straightened out. Apparently, you're using an older code. The bus trip was great about hitting all the highlights of the city.

Great way to see the city. The only negative was at the end of the day when the driver dropped us at stop #3 and said his bus was going out of service and there was a bus right behind that would pick us up and take us to central station. We waited half an hour but no bus ever came! We had to find our way to a train station near the museum. It also meant we didn't see the sights we were planning to see. Fortunately e had already ridden the whole route once.

I did this tour with my family, which included my elderly grandparents and disabled friend. We waited at one singular bus stop for over an hour because every bus was full. It was especially difficult for my family members as are not able to stand for so long. Once we finally got on a bus, our driver yelled at people at almost every stop, saying "everyone blames me for all this shit". I don't think anyone was yelling at him; they were just requesting refunds as they were experiencing the same things we were.

We got on at Stop 2. I use a mobility walker and here I found that it was way too difficult to get on and especially off the bus. Aslo the seats for use if you have a mobility aid have no or limited view of the bus tour!!!! I could not believe the mess the "trip was when at the first stop we had planned to get off at Stop 3 there was a queue of and hour and a half waiitng to get ON the bus and we were told NOT to get off at the museum that we as there would be a wait the same to get another bus in 30c heat !!!! What a poor reflection on Sydney! I only got off at the Opera house and it was way too difficult to get off and manage without a ramp to access For folk with a mobiliy issue that stop was not near enough to access to get back to the bus. We had to stop the tour as I couldnt get back up the hill to the bus stop! We caught a taxi back to our hotel. I would like a refund for me and my friend who was travelling from South Africa ! I have taken many Big Bus tours in different cities and countries. They were organized and ran on time. I realize it is a busy travel time in AU so the company should have added more buses. The fact that you can ride to the most distant tourist attractions, such as the blue route. I just didn't think there should be any waiting time at the break at point 1. Sydney's heavy traffic is a big problem and you lose a lot of time and can't stop at many places. The hours from 9am to 4pm are very short.

There was no waiting around. The bus came shortly after we arrived and we did hop off - and again no issue waiting around to hop back on another bus. We did both the red and blue routes. The weather was glorious - we spent out time on the top deck for the best views and the commentary was very educational. Would definitely recommend !

Very long wait for bus. Then when we rejoined the bus, we were stopped for over 30 minutes, sitting on the bus. Due to this long wait, we missed the cut off time to hop on the Bondi bus route. The audio system is very quiet and only one earpiece worked. I have used the hop on, hop off a few years ago and it was excellent, so it was disappointing to have such long waits.

Great opportunity to see and access parts of Sydney I wouldn't have made it to. Loved the upper level of the bus as you could see more and further than if at street level! However I'm sure the commentary/information was much more detailed and better a few years ago... it was ok but didn't really inform as much about buildings/spaces as you passed. That was disappointing.

The experience was good. What I don't understand is when it's say the ticket is for 24 hrs by then the bus finishes at 4pm? We activated our ticket around 10am. We got off ar 3 places. The last place was Bondi Beach. We got to the bus before 4pm to catch the hop on hop off bus. After waiting for over 30 minutes, we called and was told there is no more bus service. Which means that's the end of our $69.00 ticket we only used for 5 hrs? Please explain what you mean by 24 hrs. How does it work if the bus starts at 9 and finishes at 4pm? Thanks

We have done HOHO tours before in other cities but Big Bus in Sydney was the worst experience. The frequency of the buses is mentioned as 30 min but we were kept waiting for 1 hr to 1 hr 15 min at many stops and the last bus was at 3:30 pm and not upto 5 pm as per the inclusions. Due to lack of time we could not complete expected sightseeing spots. Sydney has a beautiful metro and tram network. Would recommend travellrs to create their own itenary and use public transport to complete sightseeing at their convenience. This will definitely give you more time to explore the important spots and will be cheaper than Big Bus for sure.

It is kind of bad: 1) why we need keep the ticket? I thought barcode only should work, I lost my ticket and almost got denied for the rest of trip, fortunately the driver called someone and then he gave us a handwritten ticket(kind of note), but this took the driver more than 10 min, with all the people on the but had to wait, just wonder it is ok to let the schedule delay that much? 2) not on time, we were told the next bus will come within 35-40 min, but we waited 1 hour and 5 min there 3) the signs are too small and not visible for tourists, we were looking for the sign very hard 4) each stop, it should have time table so it will be easy for tourists to arrange their time 5) anyway, this is the most bad experience I had ever encountered for the hop on and off city tour so far

There is no clear instruction on your online website that the scan for tickets must be done at the wharf before boarding so paper tickets for the zoo can be obtained there. Place well informed signage at the wharf and educate the staff involved I.e Ferry operators that paper tickets are required for zoo entry.

The number of the buses was far less than I expected and we needed to wait longer than it mentioned on the website. Some other people at the bus stop mentioned that they were waiting for a bus almost 45 minutes and the next bus was still stuck at the one spot for 15 minutes. It was really hard to plan the day although I used the app to keep tracking the next bus service. Estimating the arrival of the next bus service was hard. Waiting for a bus was longer than I actualy was on the bus. The indication of Red bus or Blue bus was not significnt. The senaries from the bus were nice and present. however, I would not recommend this service.

Has some issues getting our third batch of tickets. One teacher had a JCB card, but the other two of us succeded the first time and couldn't get the last 6 teenagers. We ended up having to pay cash. The ride was great though. So not all love but there was an overall a good experience.

It was well worth the price, we had purchased a 48hr ticket. So accessible, easy to hop,on and hop off.We did a complete red route and blue route tour. On the 2nd round we stopped.off at what we wanted to see and explore.Wonderful experience. Get it when you are in Sydney!!!

Horrific experience! Not enough buses to accommodate people and mass confusion regarding red vs blue buses which made matters worse. No announcements of stops. People were totally disappointed and angry. I've been on hop off/on in many places, particularly Europe, and this was the worst I've ever encountered. Never again in Sydney. I'll take a taxi and explore on my own next time.!

I have been on hop on hop off buses all over the world and was disappointed by this one. - tour said was not sold out but lines at every stop where significant meaning this was indeed sold out - much of the commentary is a double up - there are many many Australian artists which could have been played rather than same 3 songs on each tour on repeat - waits between buses where significant so more buses are needed in the fleet

We've done a lot of the HoHo buses and this was one of the best. You get a good orientation around the city with info on places of interest - as you;d expect. Unlike some other cities, we found the commentary actually related to the sight that we were driving past and we were able to see what they were talking about. The staff at the various stops were helpful. There are 2 circuits so you get a tour of the city and another one going out to Bondi beach. The pics are taken from the bus as we went past things.

I do love Hop On Hop Off buses whenever I land in a new city as it's a great way to get a quick intro to a new place! My only complaint on this particular tour was that when purchasing the 48 Hour Pass, I would think that the bus schedule should better mesh with the Harbor Hopper to Manly and Manly stops be more frequently offered rather than the current truncated schedule. Otherwise, enjoyed the ride and helpful staff.

My ticketing experience was fine - very easy online. It was the perfect way to see Sydney and learn a little bit of history and intersting facts. Probably the only thing I found a bit confusing was I wasn't handed a map when I got on, so I didn't quite understand the whole blue/red route changeover. I was asked to change bus at some point to continue on but that meant I never made it back to the stop where I was originally picked up and by the time I worked it out I was on the last bus for the day and it wasn't stopping at my stop, but the tour itself was amazing, maybe just check people understand how the route system works, especially people from overseas.

Ticketing experience was dismal sad to say. I rang with a query but no one got back to me till next day. I had to ask people in the street where the bus stop was. Answer your phones! The Sydney tour was great but the commentary was nit enough. There's so much more to add about Sydney so do it. Ask Matt from Darwin big bus he's perfected his commentary. Same in Berlin and Amsterdam. Make the commentary historical and interesting. Do your research. Drivers great everywhere. People canvassing to get us to hop on great everywhere. The actual trip was great as was the commentary. I struggled to find sufficient information on your email and website. I boarded at Circular Quay. The address given was 157 George street. The actual bus stop was across the road! I would have liked more information on how to read the route map. It took me a long time (and a long wait at a wrong bus stop ) to understand I needed to wait at a blue/red bus stop to be able to catch the other route bus. The bus drivers did an amazing job negotiating the traffic.

I am a resident of Sydney and have always wanted to be like a tourist in my beautiful city of Sydney! One of the things I have always wanted to do was the Hop-on-Hop-off bus. While I have explored most of Sydney city over the years, so much has changed and it was wonderful to see how all parts of the city link up. Having the ability to hop on and off the bus and explore parts of the city that I have not previously been to, was awesome. I loved the commentary and anecdotes that we heard. One of the main things I came away with, was that 48hours going around the city, only resulted in me making an even LONGER list of must do things I still need to see! Explore Sydney on this great excursion and then take your time in seeing everything Sydney has to offer. Downloading the app was extremely helpful in organising our time at each location as it allowed us to live track the movements of the buses.

On Oct 5th, 1:50PM a blue line hop on-off bus driver, short hair and Caucasian, had customers get off at a place other than the hop on-off platform near Australian Museum. At that time, I was standing at the hop on-off platform. Because the driver stopped the bus at a different place, I didn't want to miss it, so I ran towards the bus and asked him if I could take the bus. But he spoke to me that I had to get on the bus at the hop on-off platform. So I had to run and go back to the hop on-off platform where I was standing. However, the driver didn't stop the bus even though he made me to go back and told me to go there. I had to wait another bus for more than an hour because of that driver. His service mind was very lacking, and he should reflect the wrong actions and correct it for the future customers. I am going to post this to Google map sometime soon.

Me and my partner found it was very difficult to plan our day ahead as we found ourself always waiting 30mims for a but to arrive, we started at 10:20am and only got off to see Bondi and still arrived home at 3pm, I can't understand how someone could hop off and visit multiple locations within the time restricments of only operating from 9-4, 4pm is such an early time to stop buses from operating, very disappointed in the service we received.

We had to skip a good portion of the tour due to the Sydney Marathon. I completely understand this and it's not the fact that made is meh, it's the fact that it wasn't communicated at the time of booking. It was only when we were on the bus that this was brought to our attention. We had a conference the next day and could not use the kind extenstion of our ticket. Also, sometimes the audio was completely out of sync with the actual tour, which made it kind of hard to follow.

Especially blue bus went up Pitt instead of George but commentary still had it in George - maybe due to local road diversion on the day? just not happy for the refund as I accidently ordered two tickets for two days but did not pick the date, so the date was the date I order which was night at 9 pm something, but by the policy could not get the refund, the lady gives me half refund, so, not hapyy for that! some on the bus told me 100% can get refund, if I not cancel the ticket, he also will let me on the bus, and they can give me discount as well. It my first time for this expreience. My friend and I was hop off at Bondi Beach at 10.30am. The driver said the bus will come every one hour. The flexibility of the ticket was great. I have used the hop off in Sydney once before. It covers 2 good routes once you have worked them out. We did'n have internet ( australian simcard) in our mobiles all the time so it was'nt easy to follow timetables. Wifi was only in cafees and in hotel.
