My absolute favorite stop of my trip. Even though I have been before David still brings me to tears. Aside from David the museum has so many incredible pieces that are truly an honor in person. A trip to Florence is not complete without visiting la Galleria dell'Accademia.

Our tickets were for timed entry skipping all lines, and it worked perfectly. We were escorted from an office two blocks away to the rapid entry line, and it worked flawlessly.
We did not use a guide within this museum, as it is a somewhat smaller museum and very easy to negotiate. Saving the time was worth everything!

Museum was amazing. Really dont like nit being able to buy tickets direct from museum. Trued over and over but it became obvious that third party compaies buy them out electronically so never avaiable on museum website. Tried numerous times months in advance. Didnt like paying double face value for admission. Especially since guy in line with us paid much less only a few days in advance through cruise line. Museum should isallow all electronic purchase of tickets. Resale of same should be outlawed and enforced

I stayed outside Florence. With the car we drove to an area outside the ztl and with some patience 15 min from the center we parked.
The Headout visit service with host at the Accademia Gallery was great, given the influx of tourists on the May 1 bridge, I highly recommend it to skip the line without stress.

Most impressive was the fact that with all the tourists there that day we were still able to get in an hour earlier than our tickets stated.
We were impressed how well the crowds moved throughout the museum. We were able to see everything and it was tremendous, as anticipated.The The staff, when asked questions in English, were always accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable

The tickets were as advertised and the museum was great. It woud be helpful if the directions to the meeting were clear. There was just a pin and no instructions about a flag or meeting a person.

It was great to get tickets at relatively short notice (just a week or two). The ticket collection felt rather ad hoc and amateurish, but it worked well enough. The guide was very good and we were very pleased we have that professional insight when looking arund the gallery, espeecially the time spent on David. The art was, of course, wonderful!

Ease of getting registered and tickets confirmed. Associate that distributed tickets for Accademia seemed in a hurry and wanted to move us along but provided confusing guidance. Lady that guided us to the Uffizi was much better and provided very clear guidance

Our bus was very late getting into the city and I called the museum to say I would be late. The gentleman said they would do their best but couldn't promise we would be allowed to enter. We got there at 10:50 (our entry was 10:45 arriving at 10:15) The museum was amazing and more than I could imagine the works and exhibits to be!!! So grateful we were able to still get in, even being late.

Once we found our 'hosts' we got into both the Uffizi and Accademia fairly quickly. But we could have missed the hosts both time, the first one (Accademia) didn't have a white flag (I was told they would) and the Uffizi one had a bit of confusion in their office with people not knowing which tour they were on and whther they should leave with that host or not! But it worked out ok for both galleries

The museum was great. The service was not what we expected. Calling it a ‘host’ might be a bit of an overstatement. It was more of a skip-the-line kind of setup, although we still had to wait for a while and were suddenly grouped with people we didn’t know.

The exhibit was fabulous. The meeting point and person who delivered the tickets, not so good. We had tickets for 8:15 and he gave us tickets for 8:45. When we told him, he said it didn't matter - it did. He told us to stand in a line that was for people without tickets. We finally found the correct line by asking an official. We found it very disorganized. The museum, as stated earlier, was wonderful

David was the main attraction we wanted to see. It was very touristy as all of Florence is & very confusing to get in by ourselves. purchasing the guided tour made it very easy as they acquired our tickets for us, led us with a group inside, and made the process simple. We did lose the group inside as it was a bit chaotic withthe amount of people at the museums first room & we roamerd around by ourselves after the security checkpoint. Well worth the price for the convenience over the non-reservation line.
