Lisbon Essential Combo: Jerónimos Monastery + Belém Tower + Pena Palace Tickets

The experience was wonderful! Both Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira were absolutely beautiful, with incredible architecture, gardens, and views. There were quite a lot of people, but the lines moved quickly and everything was well organized. Despite the crowds, it felt peaceful and magical — definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Sintra! Even if you take a tuk-tuk up to Pena Palace, there’s still quite a lot of walking and some steep uphill paths, so comfortable shoes are a must.

I didn't enjoy it. It's a colorful mid nineteenth century castle filled with art that isn't significantly important and a testament of the horrible taste of queen Victoria's nephews and neices. We were herded through like cattle and I was surprised one of us didn't Moo. It's a really expensive trip for nothing. Go to Quelez.

The direction of the visit was well indicated inside the site, but not for getting there or parking. It was crowded and I went at the end of October. I can't even imagine in high season what it must be like. I think the number of tickets should be more limited.

We liked the unique Manueline architecture, the Church of Santa Maria, and the ornate cloisters. The highlight was the tomb of explorer Vasco da Gama. We have been to Goa in India which use to be a Portuguese Colony and have many buildings which have similar architecture

Expreience in the Pena Castle was nice. Sadly the platform didn't explain how to get there efficiently. We ended up paying a lot to reach the place. Also we noticed it was possible to by ticket at the entrance. A comission was paid through the platform.

Surprising visit! If you pass through Sintra you must visit this sculptural masterpiece. The interior deserves as much as the exterior, also telling the story of this beautiful country. I recommend taxi/Uber to get there and booking the visit.

A stunning place to visit. Each room was extremely well exhibited with fascinating information to read. I would encourage all visitors to the area to go and spend the day taking in the history and local sights, food and wine. Very muched enjoyed.

There is nothing really to see within the monastery for the line , the wait and the money you're paying! We waited more in line than inside the museum which was a rough 20 min visit of just random things Fully skippable

Undoubtedly the Jerónimos Monastery is impressive. The Cathedral is not bad and the Castle is dispensable, since the best are the views, which can be had from the different viewpoints without having to pay.

The church was nice to visit even if there is some inside remodeling. Unfortunately we couldn't go past the cloister. There should be notices given that the museum is closed!

Spectacular, all very well organized. The palace is simply wonderful, we liked it very much. And the descent to the village through the forest a spectacle. We will come back.

It was easy to go straight to the site without standing in line. Having digital tickets was so convenient while on vacation and not having access to a printer.

Experience: the castle and the Palace are amazing and provides a breathtaking view, the experience of the Palace with all of the ancient items in it is very interesting to see, if you look closely on the kitchen ware or the Tea pots or the Vases that are inside the castle you can really understand more than what is seen, the Cabinets inside have some interesting emblems and shapes on them it is very fun to look deeper at it, the Park around the Palace is basically amazing as an Agricultural Student i see it very fascinating to host such Plants in this weather especially the Monsteras i saw, i would have one suggestion about the in-plants, it would be more interesting to see inhouse Calathea maybe or Crotons as indoors plants maybe at the entry of each room or inside the rooms in different places, but overall the Park Health is amazing and beautiful. The Castle has very good point of views and it really gives you the castle vibes or the Fortress type of Vibes because you can clearly see how the Fort is covering a vast area from one side which can act as a look out and defensive building. What to improve: first of all the instruction on how to reach there is unclear it would be much better if you provide a manual of instructions on where to park the cars and how to reach the Castle on time, because most of people do not know about the streets there and one mistake will cost you 50 mins to turn around and get back to the starting point, having a manual providing the Parkings lots to park in and instructions to follow like, do not come with the car up to the Palace or do not park the car on the sideways of the street you can park at the parking (name) and order a taxi to reach the castle, the taxi would take 30 mins for example so be in the parking 45 Minutes before, that would be very useful to stop the scammers that are misusing the tourists to make them park at their own restaurants and pay alot for parking, it puts all pf the experience down the drain for some people. The Scammers which are misusing the lack of knowledge for the Tourists, which are standing on the streets to tell the people where to go, leading them to their own parking lot which costs more money, and them because your to far from the taxi pick up points of course they offer you a transport, and they charge for 24€ for back and fourth, and you have to eat at the restaurant so you dont pay the parking , its basically a huge scam ran by unsupervised people, to have some a scam on one of the most historic sites in Portugal puts the experience to shame, i will share the name of the restaurant and hotel even with pictures. In the Pena Palace, I loved the views, the rooms decorated and adorned with beautiful objects and with an indescribable historical value, being the kitchen one of the places that I liked the most, they are so well equipped, with perfectly cared copper utensils, demonstrating the level of cuisine that they could have had in that place, since the gastronomy of the places is one of the main traditional symbols of any existing place. And not only that, the beauty of the palace itself, so colorful, so artistic, suggests that the inhabitants of that palace loved everything related to art. Rooms adorned with paintings, high quality furniture with jaw-dropping finishes, strong and beautiful colors. Undoubtedly, the Pena Palace is an unmissable tour if you are in Portugal, an inspiring place with an indescribable historical value. Totally recommended.

The Pena Palace was very pretty. Getting to the palace was in crazy traffic. We entered the palace gates with our online ticket. There was a bus just beyond the entrance to drive a steep road up. There is a separate ticket for that bus. We did not see anywhere when purchasing our palace tickets online that we were able to buy the bus transfer tickets from inside the gate up to the palace. You could not buy on the bus. You had to get back into a very long line to buy the bus transfer tickets. Very frustrating!! When taking the bus to the next house we were again in stand still traffic. We skipped the 2nd house and went to the train station to go home. The traffic basically wrecked our experience. We read afterwards that Mondays are busy but this traffic was insane.

I know I heard from some that Pena Palace is a little "overrated" but I couldn't disagree more. Sure, it isn't as old as some of Portugals other landmarks and castles. But, the experience I had exploring and especially on top of the big balcony (which you just buy these tickets to enter the interior and therefore also the grand balcony) was a spiritual experience that almost brought tears to my eyes because of how amazing the view was from up top. A special place, which amazing views and amazing architecture. Also, fascinating was the valuables, personal items, and rooms staged from the times of the Kings who called this palace their home. Absolute must for any history buff.

Quinta da Regaleira, Sintra – A Place of Mystery and Magic 🌿✨ Visiting Quinta da Regaleira was such a fascinating experience. The highlight for me was the Initiation Well – an incredible architectural wonder that feels both mysterious and enchanting. Walking down its spiralling steps and looking out towards the waterfall view from inside was simply unforgettable. Every corner of the estate is filled with symbolism, hidden tunnels, and intricate stonework – it truly feels like stepping into a fantasy world. What a structure, and what a masterpiece of imagination and design!

The castle and the surrounding area are perfect. Admission control works quickly and smoothly. However, it is very crowded, which means too many tourists, too many people. You are quickly "processed" so that the following tourists can get in. You have the feeling of being part of the mechanism that has to work. Even if, as a tourist, I myself contribute to it being full, the next time I visit I would only buy the ticket for the park, but not for the tour of the palace itself.

I am from Uruguay and I visited the Pena Palace, I loved visiting it inside and see all its history, furniture of the time, the architecture of its roofs and outside also beautiful gardens and to highlight the organization to go visiting the hungry, we went by train you get off and you have the bus to go up that you are doing the different stops where you have the tickets. For the Pena Palace you have to get the tickets through the internet.

Great excursion to Sintra and Pena Palace. It is definitely a must see if you visit Lisbon. It is about 30 minutes from Lisbon by car. We purchased a day tour to Sintra and Cascais and purchased the tickets to Pena online in advance. The tickets are likely to sell out if not purchased in advance. The palace was pretty impressive inside and out. It is purched on a mountain top with incredible views of the city.

Thanks to the fact that we bought our tickets online, we were able to get in faster. Because all the time there is a long line. But when you are inside it is a marvel what your eyes see and everything is worth the wait. The security people outside some of them are very nice but the women are very rude and don't give you the information you need, they just tell you to wait in line without paying attention to what you say.

Beautiful sights across both attractions. The Pena Palace has spectacular views of colour and intricate architecture. Our highlight was the Quinta da Regaleira. Truly a fresh experience discovering all the regalia and exploring the caves. The combo packages made it extremely easy to get coordinated time slots to visit both attractions in one day

It was really easy to book through Headout and at discounted prices. Tickets were also available offline in the app as Network can be bad sometimes up in the hills. It's good to have pre booked tickets as entry are at specific time slots only. We spend less time at the entry of the monument. Overall it was a very seamless experience.

Although it was a chilly day and we had dressed for warmer weather, the tour of the palace made us feel as though we were walking among the clouds. Inside, staff were mostly cordial in encouraging the crowd to keep moving. The restaurant was a comforting way to end our visit, most especially the warm vegetable soup and soft bread.

We liked the park. You don't have to see the palace. I think 22€ per person is too expensive, large crowds, the palace is quite run-down from the outside! In addition, the public bus only sold the ticket for €13.50 (24-hour ticket) and not the ticket for €4.50 for a one-way trip! We think that's quite a rip-off! Never again!

Very beautiful and very special place. The purchase of the ticket worked very well but being a combo gave the same time of entry in both places. The order is to enter the Pena Palace at the appointed time because there is no alternative, but there is no problem at Quinta da Regadeira because they accept any schedule.

The Park was lovely but the interior you cannot really appreciate the display as people are keep moving and one lady tourist guide for the groups shouted at us and said, " just take the picture and move!" whilst we were still reading the description. But guys checking the tickets were very nice and helpful.

Although the site is well worth a visit, I found the price very high, even though we were only visiting the cloister, with no explanation, no folder, no panels, no audioguide, in short, no context. The queue-cutting ticket doesn't work, so the timetable is not respected, even in the off-season ....

The tour was too short, lacking explanatory panels or stations for virtual audioguides. It was a pity to have to queue a second time to visit the church for free. Nevertheless, the monastery was magnificent, and there weren't too many people to take good photos.

The castle was great, but unfortunately everything was very crowded and overcrowded. The park was great.We would have appreciated a few more signs.We got a bit lost. The shuttle buses seemed to come from nowhere.no idea where they came from or went to. But otherwise a great experience.

I thought i'd booked 2 palace/park combo tickets but got 2 tickets for the National Palace, 2 for Pena Park but ONLY 1 for Pena Palace and don't understand how. Might have been my error but just SO frustrating. Endless links to buy more choices and frustrating website. Would never use again

The purchase was quick and easy. Both sites are beautiful but even with a booked ticket you will have to queue. The weather was misty so even more atmospheric but no far reaching views. The hike between them was fun but difficult, we may consider the bus (at least one way) next time.

The monastery was beautiful, it was definitely worth the one hour wait in the rain to get in. I understand why it was selected as a UNESCO heritage site! The scale is incomprehensible, as well as the craftsmanship. This is most definitely a must see if you are in Lisbon.

The tickets and venues where great. Our only issue was securing a ride between the Palace and Quintana. Both Bolt and Uber kept dropping our ride and the cellular reception was so bad I couldn't cancel the ride. It was super frustrating. Should have taken the bus

Beautiful palace. Was not too busy when we were there which made it much more enjoyable. This is a must see if traveling to Portugal but get your tickets in advance online and pick an early time slot. You will not be disappointed

Interesting what you saw, but you could not fully appreciate it because you stood in line all the way through the visit. I have never seen such a thing. Never again. Unfortunately the weather was bad with fog so zero view.

The price of the combo is fine. We put the hours apart to have time. We really liked the Quinta da Regaleira even more than the Pena Palace. The only downside is that whatever time you go there are too many people.

Great colourful Palace but make sure to arrive on time as they might reject you entry to the indoor portion of it. 20 euros is a bit much for what it is inside but with the outside view and the gardens, it's a must.

Downloading the tickets didn't work at first. We had to call technical support twice before finally receiving them by e-mail. Once this problem was solved, everything went smoothly.

The opulence of the interior is absolutely stunning. The tile work, wood work, and general structure and ornate touches to the marble are phenomenal. The Pena palace grounds are gorgeous and worth a separate visit.

It is a magical place. But get there early as parking is problematical in town and getting to the Palace takes much longer than anticipated. But when you arrive you, the charm of the place wins you over completely.

Enjoyable excursion in Sintra with lots of nature and culture! The inside of the palace is interesting to see and it is also fun to do the walk from Sintra up to the Palace, but only recommend if you like walking!

A very pretty château with a gigantic park. You could probably spend a whole day there. Family with 2 children aged 8 and 5. We didn't have to push them to walk, it was a lovely playground.

We toured at about 12:45 and crowds were manageable and not overly crowded. The grounds are well maintained. I would definitely plan on at least 2 hours as there is many amazing things to see.

The money charged for the 5 tickets were more than if purchased at place. Our 3 kids went as adults here, being 14, 14 and 13 years old , and at place they have the discount for youth and students

Entering the attractions by appointment makes things much easier. Both attractions are wonderful, the Pena Palace is a little gem and Quinta da Regaleira is a magical place. Both are unmissable.

The castles were very cool and you can walk between the two of them it's only about ten minutes. There was a free audio guide as long as you have good service and bring headphones!

I had hoped that there would have been audio guides available but none were made available when I checked in. Without the audio equipmment was limited information on the history.

After a steep one and a half hour climb, there was a fabulous reward at the Palaco Pena. The flora on the way to the Palaco fully compensates for the effort.

The Palace is beautiful & the view from the top is breathtaking! I loved all of the period furniture. Also, the kitchen was great & very impressive with all of the copper pots!

The tour is really great, but getting there from the train is a pain. Why not consider a shuttle bus from the station, even if you have to pay for it? The bus is very expensive

It is a very comprehensive visit into older centuries. The furniture and original decor makes it a very real visit. The views from the terraces and windows are awesome!

The gardens were amazing. The children aged 8 and 10 loved exploring incredible towers and underground passageways. I walk with a cane and found the main paths great.

I loved the history and touring inside the castle! However, it was extremely busy and packed, as well as so much construction on the outside of the castle itself.

Loved the famous Staris, worth the hype, meet nice people along the way and the top part of the garden is amazing, very scenic. Finally, the chapel... wow

Pena Castle was a memorable experience! It is situated in a dreamy natural setting and is steeped in history. Portugal's past is fascinating!

The park and the palace. What wasn't good was the parking situation. It's really bad. There are too few parking spaces. We had booked two events with a fixed slot. This was not possible as the entrances are far too far apart. This is not mentioned anywhere. We were forced to take a cab to get from A to B. In addition, the guided tour through the castle is mass processing and you walk through like a herd of cattle. What particularly bothered me was the condition of the castle. It should be renovated or given a new coat of paint. You could expect more for the money you pay.

Quinta da Regaleira was fantastic with very interesting grounds and of course the incomparable Poco Initiativa (spelling wrong). Pena Palace was a total waste for two reasons. One: there are three routes suggested to get to the palace that allow one to see the grounds. The beginning was marked and then at all subsequent intersections there was no indication of how to stay on the path. So we wasted a lot of time and then two: the palace walk through was so crowded as to be not worth it.

The tickets purchased were not for a specific time slot. The stated 9:30 am was the opening time of the monastery and not the chosen time slot. This was not clearly stated when booking the tickets. It was very crowded. We were there at 9.45 am and the wait time was almost 2 hours to enter. In addition, only a small part of the monastery was accessible. So we stood in line longer than we entered the monastery.

The line to get in was over 35 minutes long and very confusing (and we were there early). The chapel is under construction so there was little to see AND it was super noisy with construction noise!! We were in and out in less than 45 minutes and VERY DISAPPOINTED! Of course, there was no reduction in prices. We would not recommend at this time. Save your money and just take pics from outside or do the church part FOR FREE!

The Palace is very nice, maybe too many people at first when you enter but then on the tour you are distancing yourself. The park is amazing and although there are people it seems that you are alone. The worst thing is undoubtedly the transportation, although it is not directly the responsibility of the park, it should be involved. The bus service is lousy, from the information, the waits since it does not pass every 10 minutes.

An idyllic, peaceful walk through the beautiful park with its many old trees. Unfortunately, visitors to the Pena Palace are then left standing in a long queue in the sun at the top of the palace. No shade. The reception staff are also very unfriendly in this queue. Organizationally, this is actually a real imposition. The palace itself is super interesting.

The Regaleira Palace is truly unmissable. A sensational and mystical place. Getting to know the details of the property and its secrets is part of the fun. Again, you need to be physically fit to do both activities and enjoy the incredible tour. We went with our ticket, which was bought as a pair with the Pena Palace. It worked very well and was easy to buy.

September 2025. Our family of 5 got this deal and we enjoyed each of the three places. The lines were long but moved pretty quickly. The emails with tickets were delivered as soon as purchased. Note the Cathedral tickets is just a reservation page that you show at check-in, while the other two places delivered actual tickets to be scanned.

I found it very expensive for what it is. It's not worth the queue or the price The monastery is beautiful, but that's all! It's good for taking photos and walking around The stairs are difficult and we can't sit down. I went with elderly people and it was very difficult. I've been to other monasteries in Portugal and they were just as beautiful, but cheaper and we could live the experience. It wasn't worth it

This is a rip off! The tickets sold at the Monastery are one third the cost of the tickets from this website. Also, I purchased the tickets on the day I was attending and there is a lag time of two hours before the tickets were available and I had to purchase new tickets there in order to get in. A total waste of money!

We spent more time in the queue outside than in the massive building of which we saw only a small part. The lines were poorly organized and it took a very long time to process people. We were 4 people and each ticket has to be individually downloaded rather than 1 ticket for all 4. Took a long time at entry.

In fact, I had the Lisbon card, but there was no indication of discounts for holders of this card. So there was no place to enter a card number, for example, to get the 20% discount. There were 4 of us with the Lisbon card, which amounted to a good total.

We were able to enter the attraction at the time booked, but the walking required was much more than anticipated. Told it was a 10 min walk but took muck longer up a steep grade, particularly Moorish castle. Told I must have a printed copy of ticket to pena, but electronic was fine.

It is all very nice, I recommend going with time, water and a lot of desire to walk. I would improve in the Quinta de Regaleira if they had better signage to direct a little easier the route from the top and down to the exit. There are many things to see and it is easy to get lost.

It was a good experience, the only drawback to report is that there are two lines, one for the monastery and the other for the church. If you don't get to the front of the entrance, you risk not distinguishing between them and standing in the wrong line. Otherwise, all very beautiful and interesting.

The castle was very beautiful, like something straight from a fairytale. Highly recommend using the audioguide throughout the interior of the castle, it provided interesting insights to the history of the castle. The surounding park was also incredibly beautiful!

Palace and park was beautiful. Interior of that palace was actually like joke but the exterior of that palace is breathtaking. Quinta da Regaleira is beautiful place. For me this was much better then Pena. Beautiful gardens with towers and not that many people.

Be prepared to walk, on cobblestones, up hills and many stairs. Also be prepared for wind. The views are spectacular though! We got to Pena Palace before our timeslot. We walked around the outside first then waited in line to go in. Both are worth a visit.

The long queue could me managed better. Also the church was closed - understandably for masses on Sunday, but the announced opening hours 3-5pm) were not followed due to a wedding that took longer than expected, which led to 100s of people queuing again.

We loved our visit to Peña Palace and Quinta da Regaleira. Both very special places. The interior at Peña Palace was incredible and the gardens were amazing. We could definitely spend all day wandering though the gardens, there was so much to see.

We weren't able to visit the church as it was privatized. Despite this, we waited 3 hours because we were told on the spot that it would finally be visible, but this was not the case. The ticket was very expensive

Very poorly signposted, the entrances said that you could visit the Chalet de la Condesa and after a walk of more than 15 minutes by very confusing roads, it was closed. You could only see it from the outside.

Absolutely horrible Parking ,and miss guided rules about parking ,causing people to pay tons of extra money to park a car mile away to be shuttled up the hill and and charge a family if 5 $70 euro Scam!

Beautiful place at an acceptable price but it is not clearly explained in the online ticket that young people pay half of the ticket so I bought 4 adults instead of two adults and two young people

An amazing palace! Well worth the trip. The tickets come with time assigments so make sure you are in Sintra and close to the plalace at the time you need. Headout tickets were easy to purchase online.

In no doubt a great building with so many historical value although we arrived at opening time we waited for over an hour to gain entry it seemed to be a very in efficient way of gaining entry

Beautiful experience, impressive buildings. We found out afterwards that there are also tickets for seniors and/or for the disabled. For less than half the price.

The palace is beautiful and buying online makes the experience hassle-free! But there were huge queues, people cutting in line and the professionals who were there to organize did nothing

The palace was very nice. The exterior surface was very impressive but the interior was in alot of renovations in areas. Enjoyed the lower palace as much or more and not crowded.

The visits were great despite the crowds, but it's a shame that the entrance tickets don't include access to the shuttles, which adds to the budget.

The monument , explanation use of the ticket however deficient should be better explained that the title is already valid to access I would have avoided double queue ,but patience

The Pálacio da Pena is beautiful, but the organization leaves something to be desired. We stood in queues for a long time, and people passed in front of us even though we weren't waiting.

The place is absolutely beautiful however I bought 5 tickets but my friend that drove could not go as there was absolutely no place to park so I wasted a ticket

Too much waiting and queuing during the visit . too many people per time slot . Nevertheless, the Pena Palace remains a wonderful place to visit, and I don't regret it.

The staff is tired and has little tolerance for tourists. The site needs to be curated to make the visit more attractive and informative.

The convenience of having two tickets in the same voucher. But I did not like the overcrowding of the Palacio da Pena, I think it conditions a lot.

Beautiful place, but there is a lot of distance between them, and there is no warning of how far you have to walk and that you have to wear a sweatshirt/sweater.

Pena and Quinta da Regaleira are must sees when visiting Portugal! So glad we pre-booked our times, made for a much more enjoyable day.

easy entry, recommend getting there 45min- 1 hr early to walk around and have enough time to walk up, take photos, wait to enter.

Easy booking and wonderful visit, just be prepared as you will have to wait to enter, it is however, utterly worth the wait.
