What can't be said about the bus: thanks to the canopy overhead and a nice breeze inside it was cool and cozy. The staff was very polite and courteous - always helping with boarding and answering questions. It is especially convenient that the company has two proprietary apps that make it easy to plan and adjust your excursions. It would be great if they also sold cold water on board - it would make the trip even more pleasant. --- ✅ English translation: It was extremely hot outside, and staying in the park felt uncomfortable. But that wasn't the case on the bus - thanks to the canopy overhead and a pleasant breeze, it was cool and comfortable inside. I find the hop on hop off buses very handy when in a new city. I usually go for the 48hour ticket as it's only a bit extra in cost. It's a great way of getting your bearings in a new city. The customer service guy at the Archeological Museum was very helpful - I was waiting about 15 mins for the next bus - it pulled in and back out before I could even board! He contacted the driver as the bus turns near there and escorted me across the road and onto the bus as he had arranged for the driver to pull in.

Always a good thing to start discovering a city. The tour bus allows you to discover the main sites, learn a bit more about them and you can always go back to some afterwards. I think it is very useful when you don't have a lot of time and want to make sure you don't forget a major site to see. The only thing in Athens: is the bus you are taking doesn't have a roof, make sure you have a long dress or a trouser to be able to sit at the upper floor 😉

The busses were overcrowded / there were not enough busses available. Some busses did not have their sunroof up. Sometimes the busses did not continue for no discernible reason and it took up to 45 minutes for the next one to come. The bus-tracking system did not work properly. But: the drivers/ employees were friendly!

Valid tour to visit the most important sites important sites in Athens with a well-defined route. Getting around Athens by public transportation is not easy mainly because of the difficult understanding of the Greek language . The audio guide is a very useful tool to learn about some of the details along the city route. while traveling Unfortunately, they do not always work perfectly and I recommend an overhaul of the plug connections Overall positive experience that I would do again.

Exploring Athens on the hop on hop off bus was a great way to get my bearings and to see areas of the city I wouldn't have otherwise. The commentary was interesting and informative. I really enjoyed all three lines. My only improvement would be for the Piraeus buses to start earlier going towards the port than 1215pm so people could go down there to explore not just get back on their cruise ship.

Effy needs to be aware of her clients. She had an older crowd and walked and talked no knowing some were struggling. The whole day was unorganized. We were told this would be English only and she said some spoke French so we had to listen to both. Apparently there was a mixup with buses and these folks were on the wrong bus. We should have had a bathroom break at the museum, but she kept going against n unaware of her clients.

Hello, There was a lot of waiting time at stops, and progress between the stops was also slow (traffic, not a lot can be done about that I suppose). So sitting in the sun got very uncomfortable. There was a LOT of music, some more of which could have been replaced with information about the city, mythology and Greece in general. On the audio recording, a time estimate at stops and between stops would be very helpful. Also, it would be very helpful to put on the map information about minutes to walk to sites where you got off the bus at stops (like #6,#7). We are big fans of City Sightseeing buses. nice route, lots of sights, friendly staff with clear explanations (both at the stops and the bus drivers), the buses come to the stops very often which is very nice, space driving times to see everything. very nice experience and really recommended (thanks for saving walking miles on behalf of my feet) tip: send in advance the "address" or location description of where the buses stop. We wandered around the Acropolis Museum in the morning spatially for half an hour looking for where the bus stop was. (While you see the buses going everywhere haha) Finally found the red sign but it's so big there. And it's a waste of time to have to search. (I mentioned several times that the link to the bus route on the app doesn't work).

This would typically be a great way to see the many sites in the city of Athens, however, on the day we were there the city was having multiple charity runs for breast cancer and some of the streets were closed off. This resulted in traffic congestion and backups that resulted in sitting in the heat of the day for longer than expected. Our tour should have taken an hour or two and we ended up being on the bus for over 3 hours before we got back to our original spot. Since the roads that were previously blocked opened up the driver decided to cover what had been originally missed; thankful for the thought but just too long to be sitting on a hot bus.

Añ ideal way to explore the city. However when I booked for two days I was not told that the main street would be closed for independence celebrations. On my second day I could not use the bus for 4 hours from 10 am. Even the staff the day before did not alert me or say where the diverted bus would run.
