City Sightseeing: 24-Hour Edinburgh Hop-On Hop-Off Tour

A fantastic way to explore Edinburgh! It is a compact city but the bus brings you to the hotspots. We really enjoyed it.

took us to see real good sites. also inspired new ideas. was too bad i only got the 24 hour ticket and we started late. kinda lame there is no buses later than 4pm. but overall was a good experience.

Limited amount of time In the city so this was a great way to see as much as possible. Tickets were easy to book on line - all hassle- free. Would definitely do it again!!

The pace of the journey is quite slow. I think it's more applicable for older aged tourists. But otherwise, it was alright.

Good to have the facility of looking around with added commentary. Also good bus ride, save climbing the steep hill towards the castle.

Easy ticket purchase, nice bus speed. Planning now for Stratford, Oxford, and Bath having had good Glasgow and Edinburgh tours

Recommended for those who don't want to walk a long way gives you the ability to get on and off at all major points

Very easy to book and enjoy sightseeing around Edinburgh with no worries concerning car parking. Hopped off at Castle Esplanade and bought cut price tickets for Castle. Also had cut price coffee at wee cafe opposite booth, courtesy of Headout. After walk round Castle, caught red bus at same stop and continued for next hour around sights. Very good experience and worthwhile for tourists and locals alike.

We did not have a lot of time but wanted to get from Royal Mile to far end of Princess street. Waited 20 mins for bus then it stopped at Waterloo/Wellington?? For full 20 minutes so wasted time while we sat there .

Ticketing process was straightforward. Driver was very helpful. The tour captured the highlights and provided an excellent overview of the city.

Bus frequency is good. Buses are generally crowded. It is better to take a ticket that works for all buses (blue, red, etc), which I was not aware of. So, I had to buy ticket twice, one for each bus.

The tour was great and took us on a route all around town with upper open deck seating and informative audio tour. We first went all around and then decided which places we wanted to go back and check out even more. It was easy to hop on and off and check out the sites. We loved Edinburgh and the bus was a great way to see everything in town!

We just came off of the Glasgow Hop On, and that was superior. The drivers and guides were enthusiatic, clearly announced all of the stops, and what was present at each stop. The Edinburgh experience was similar to a city bus. The drivers failed to announce any stops.

The tour was excellent. Got to see most of attractions in just less than two hours ride. Good with my teenager boys who had not much patient to walk around the city.

Ease of use, and flexibility. Online application straight forward. Just a couple of observations.. 1. Make clear it's just hop on hop off buses, as we and other people were not too sure, but they were frequent enough so all good really. 2. Maybe get driver to announce which stop they have arrived at. We have the map of locations but its not always clear where you are in a strange city. 3. Maybe give gps co-ordinates to the stops as can be easier to find then Otherwise great service...

Ticketing was fine and commentary was good. However operating the screen (to select language for example) was very difficult to see and therefore operate. Bus seemed to stop excessively long at some stops for no apparent reason.

My userexperience with the booking website was not great. Entering the bus the first time and examining the map that was handed to us I was under the impression that we could enter all three buslines. Not so, apparently. This was very unclear when we booked.

Fine ride. Unfortunately not in dutch, the audio. Also 3 different companies bookable under 1 heading but not interchangeable. Too bad. Did several sightseeings in different cities.

It was good to see so much interesting places from the bus.
