Combo: From Krakow - Auschwitz-Birkenau & Wieliczka Salt Mine Guided Tour

Everything was very well organised and on time. Our guides at both Aushwitz and the Salt Mines were excellent. Not much more you can ask for really.

The guides we had at Auschwitz-Birkenau and at the Salt Mine were both really good. Suzanne at Auschwitz was very clear and interesting and had a really good tone that suited the somber topic. In contrast at the salt mine our guide was humerus with her delivery but still very informative. Unfortunately we were late being picked up in the morning. These things happen but don't say it's traffic when it's because the driver hadn't turned up to work. Standing outside in the sleet at 6am for an hour wasn't the best start to the day. Also 8 people in the minibus was a little uncomfortable if you had to sit in the front.

The trip was all a bit rushed. Our timings were moved from 8.30am to 6.05am to start with which left no time for breakfast and no time was made by the organisers in allowance of this. Over the course of the trip we were rushed from venue to venue with no real time made for food break given the length of the trip and the fact we started earlier. Everything else was as expected.

The Wieliczka Salt Mine is an impressive site. I was amazed by knowing that all the beautiful art sculpted in salt was made by the workers in the mine. Visiting Auschwitz and Birkenau, guided by a knowledgeable person, was an unforgettable experience. Only being there to feel. Both tours could have been a better experience if the guide in the bus could use the travel time to tell us more about the places we were travelling through. His function was basically a "head counter".

Após a visita à mina de sal de Wieliczka tivemos a hora de almoço, acontece que não foi possível encontrar o guia, tendo o mesmo entregue o almoço quando regressámos ao autocarro para partir para Auschwitz-Birkenau, isto após a hora de almoço. Não recomendo esta opção, até porque fica mais barato se comprarem numa loja o almoço. Em relação ao guia de Auschwitz-Birkenau a forma como falava não facilitava a compreensão. Falava muito depressa (quase sem respirar) e depois fazia uma pausa e recomeçava. Confesso que estava expectante com esta visita mas de facto o guia não foi o melhor, sorumbático e muito distante, não tive sorte! After the visit to the Wieliczka salt mine we had lunch time, it turned out that it was not possible to find the guide, and he delivered lunch when we returned to the bus to leave for Auschwitz-Birkenau, this after lunch time. I don't recommend this option, because it's cheaper if you buy lunch in a store. In relation to the Auschwitz-Birkenau guide, the way he spoke did not facilitate understanding. He spoke very quickly (almost without breathing) and then paused and started again. I confess that I was looking forward to this visit but in fact the guide was not the best, gloomy and very distant, I had no luck!

Pick up and transfer was very good. The Salt Mines are a must see, a great experience. The Church is awesome. Auschwitz a sad reminder of the evil of war. May the souls of all those who perished there Rest in Peace. The tour guides were brilliant, very informative and willing to answer questions.

The Venues and the tour guides were very good and knowledgeable, a memorable day. however, the transport seemed rushed, not great communication what to do regarding meeting times, also driving from Krakow collection point to the salt mine and then back into Krakow to collect more passengers to then travel all the why out to Auschwitz seemed a wasted 1hr. Overall a good day for the money spent.

The guide (auschwitz) had a nice voice, easy to understand, but it was overcrowded, he seemed to be in a hurry and left us really fast in birkenau The guide in the saltmine seemed like a statue telling her text, not very sympathic

I learned a lot at Auschwitz, things I'd never heard before. The Salt Mines surpassed my expectations, amazing rooms and sculptures.

The guide for Auschwitz was very friendly and easy to understand, the pick up was on time for the camp. I would like to have visited more pavilions. As for the mines, the pick up and entrance time was almost 1h later and it was a long wait.

Our guide was so nice and very attentive to us though out the trip. Also we enjoyed the trip with the other tourists in the bus

The guides were super at the tour with a lot of important facts. Always asking about the information was clear. I would love they could have some headphones because some times was not possible to listening well due to the crowdness of the places

The salt mione tour was greeat, I am very glad we did the Auschwitz tour even though we could not hear our guide who choice not to use audio.

The tour manager for the day was fantastic ( can't remember the name but he had long hair). He was friendly explained homeblongbit would take to get to the location, how long it would take etc. he also had lots of knowledge and was very informative on the journey The guide at Auschwitz was really knowledgeable but it was difficult to hear as she was soft spoken and there were other tours around us. The guide at the salt mins was also very good

Overall the tour is a MUST, the experience was great and easily managed. Now, if your tour starts at 0630, BE PREPARED to bring snacks, sandwich or whatever is your preference for the morning because there is nothing to eat until you get back to Krakow which is when you will have a break for lunch and then off to the Salt Mine. My time table was as follows: Meet at 0630, arrive at Auschwitz around 0800, tour started at 0830, once done at Auschwitz you will go to Birkenau, from there you go back to Auschwitz, meet your driver and head back to Krakow where you will have a break for lunch. Then, the driver will take you to Wieliczka for the Salt Mine tour, roughly 2 hours there and then drive back to Krakow, the tour is done around 7pm. Long day but so much worth it!!

Great tour guide. Everything in time. The guide was very helpful and scheduled very well the trip. The places we've visited were shocking.

Daniel our tour guide was great very knowledgeable and a credit to the company. Even told us about other things to do in krakow. We went to the Witcher bar that we didn't even know was there and that place was excellent. Wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't for Daniel. Thank you for a great day and next time we visit will definitely use AT Cracow again.

Fantastic tour Daniel was great the guide we had around Auschwitz-Birkenau fantastic young girl very no knowledgeable and compassionate and the salt mine was amazing 👍🏻👍🏻

The guides were really good: had a vast knowledge and gives understanding explanations. I really appreciate too the PDF book to prepare in advance the visit since it gives you the opportunity to have a deeper knowledge and process the information at your own pace. One thing to improve: the location where the bus is waiting for people is not precise and in a city you don't know well can be a little bit confusing. Futher description to know the exact point where the bus will stop would have been helpful. For the people that visits Auschwitz and Wieliczka salt mine can be convenient not to go through Krakow city center but directly to Wieliczka to make the tour shorter or have more time to have lunch.
