Tickets to Naples National Archaeological Museum

We did a self guided visit of about 3 hours using a guide book by Rick Steves. The size and condition of the collection is incredible.

The Vesuvian exhibits were fantastic. A must see experience alongside a visit to Pompeii. The museum itself is also a beautiful place to visit with tranquil courtyards.

This museum was recommended by the guide that showed us Herculaneum. I'm not sure if we saw everything, but there were many areas of interest in what we did visit. Some amazing sculptures were the highlight.

Few people there. so we could move around easily. They made me store my large purse, calling it a backpack. I saw other people with backpacks.

Exhibit. We'll visited Pompeij the day before and the Museum was very explanatory and supporting what we had seen in visit.

A beautiful museum with pieces of great archaeological value. Very clean, kind staff. It would be better if it had parking.

Museum is amazing! We were there at end of October with no air conditioning and there were windows open. It was very warm and humid. So much so we left early unfortunately.

Pompeii artifacts and town model were interesting. Very disappointed that the second floor was closed. We very much wanted to see the mosaics.

Evereng was fine but when I wanted to reschedule my visit to other hour it was impossible. As a result I bought another 2 tickets the same day but differnt time. So, I paid twice without possibility to get refund.

Nice building. Professional museum. As expected. But it was also just a nice museum. Not much interactive for teenagers to stay interested.

Buying tickets was very easy and saved us from queing on arrival. We hired a guide and found that it made the whole experience come to life and we got far more understanding of what we were looking at. The only disappointment was that the mosaice were closed.

Ticketing process was easy and fast. Museum is so well laid out. Would benefit from more English interpretive signage.

I liked the simpel way to place the order. What I didn't like was that you, whithout my permission, 6 euro on advance booked extra, for a next ticket...

The guided tour of ITGuides in the Archological Museum con Naples is great: detailed, slow spoken, pleasant voice. Not too short not too long per post!

Firstly you don't need a guide or even the audio guide. All you need is your smart phone and Dr Google, just search the internet not hard, it's faster and you only get the info you need/want. Alot of the sculpture pieces are unknown artists so I just skipped those and some had the face/head of e.g. Julius Caesar on the body of someone. Interesting was the glass, silver and alibaster items magnificent miniature glass items e.g. amules to store medicines and ointments. The sealed/secret section just demonstrated how twisted and perverse the rich and powerful were. Did I say were! Interesting how it was only realsed in 2000. The paintings and frescos also good to have a look and photograph, again a good quality smart phone is all you need. Unless you are a student of art, photography or just want to show off your expensive equipment. I really enjoyed fact how well the works were curated, cared for and displayed able to get up and personal to see the exquisite detail and talent in the sculptures e.g. folds of garments, facial lines etc. And the detailed mosaics. Fantastic.Well worth the experience.

It would have been more confortable if we had received headphones & the guide had spoken + microphone, because the streets in Naples are very noisy ...

The Museum's collection is astounding - the numerous mosaic floors, the painted wall panels, the antique glass collection, etc. It is housed in a glorious semi-dilapidated palazzo looking into a large interior garden. It hasn't really been updated to current museum standards - such as air conditioning and humidity control - but the collection shines.

The various sectoral exhibitions are very well structured. I really liked the section on Pompeii and the like, as well as the section on Picasso. A museum not to be missed.

Ticketing experience was great, also the cafe inside was a good feature. The museum's collection is impressive and I especially liked the high number of statues displayed inside.
