Walking through the passage was a great experience. We were booked for the 10 am entry time. However we mistakenly went to Castel Sant'Angelo instead of the Vatican. The staff at the CSA end notified the staff at the Vatican end about our late arrival. Even though we missed our 10 am group, we went on with the next group with no issues. The staff were very accommodating.

We visited the Castel in the afternoon, the entery line was not all that long but with our pre-purchase tickets pretty much went in straight away. The Castel it self was very intersting, as it is built on an old Roman Fort and you realy got a great sense of it age as you made your way from the entry up to the newer fortications above. Exploring the fortress was easy follow the arrows and you wandered from room to room (if you had a self guided tour you would get explainations of every you would visit). We didn't use the self guided tour but we followed the path taking our time. From state rooms to roof tops to batlements there was plenty of opertunites to stop and take it all in. There is a tuck shop in the Castel for refrshments and snaks. All in all we as a family enjoyed the visit.

The Colosseum, Palatine, Roman Forum and Mamertine Prison are all within easy reach. The queue cutter wasn't much use, as I was there at 9 a.m. in the morning, and even though it's crowded, the queue moves quickly to get into the Colosseum. Please note! When you take the 9 a.m. time slot for the Colisée, the Mamertine prison doesn't open until 8:30. So you'll have to go to the prison to collect your tickets for the rest of the tour, and come back once you've finished. For the Castel Sant'Angelo, I arrived right on time and was able to get straight into the tour. It wasn't very crowded, but the entrance was smooth and stress-free.

I visited Castel Sant’Angelo today and it was an incredible experience. The place is much larger than I expected, and every section has something that catches your attention. There are so many fascinating details and pieces of history inside. The room dedicated to Pope John Paul II is especially impressive – it has a very strong and meaningful atmosphere. Overall, the energy of the castle is really good. I definitely recommend visiting if you’re in Rome.

Once we had the tickets was easy to get right in with a simple scan. The crowds were moderately busy but was so nice not to have to stand in line to get tickets. We almost missed this treasure. It was our 2nd last day in Roma and we scrambled to find something for the afternoon as the rain cleared up earlier than forecast. My wife saw this castle and we booked through Headout for skip the line tickets in the afternoon and we truly skipped a huge line! How did we miss this destination in our months long planning?!! First we crossed a bridge, but not just any bridge. The Tiber river has many bridges, but oh my, this is a walking only bridge that ends in the monument itself. Ponte Sant'Angelo is amazing, with individually unique towering angels standing guard to the entrance of the Castel. Views of the Vatican nearby and the 360 panoramic views of Roma from the top terrace are as enticing as the models of the fortress, the art and artifacts contained within its walls and that mighty bronze statue of Arcangel Michael, the guardian of God's people. Don't miss this!!!

Saint Angel's Castle. Very interesting place, showing a piece of history. It is good that a lot has been preserved, an impressive monument . Raphael's sculpture stands guard there with dignity 😀the views from the tower are breathtaking, the idea of a cafe on the terraces, where with a cup of coffee, a glass of Aperol you can admire it all super 🤩 the exhibition dedicated in honor of John Paul II was mega impressive. Good day I had to organize tickets for a group. Since everything runs via an app, I could not forward them to the people. The tickets could not be printed by the app, which is why I had to request the tickets as a pdf via support. In addition, 1 ticket was not delivered to us (Wyss Monika) and we were forced to buy it again on site. I couldn't forward the audio guide to the group participants, so we couldn't use it unless everyone had downloaded the app. They were older people, so that was not reasonable.

I am so glad we got to tour the Castel Sant' Angelo. It has such a history. It has plenty of art on display and has a beautiful top view of Rome and the Vatican City. Great for taking nice photos. Also there is a cafe by the rooftop, Caffetteria Ristorante Le Terrazze, so you can enjoy a coffee, pastry, meal or icecream with the amazing view.

Castel Sant'Angelo, a beautiful building that has been on our sightseeing list for some time. It's definitely worth a visit. Next time, however, we would take the audio guide directly in the castle. It was offered here at Headout, but is not adapted to the stations and their sequence. This is annoying when you have to constantly click back and forth on your cell phone. Perhaps they should really work together with the castle to make it work. Otherwise, buying tickets here is really recommended. We ended up here because the tickets were offered at a higher price on another platform.

Went at 9:30 for our 9:45 entrance and they let us right in. There were a few people but not a ton so it was still easy to get around. The audio guide was okay. Sometimes it would tell you to go the next room before they started talking about that room other times it just started and you had to guess what they were talking about. The audio guide also stopped before we got to to the outside walls so there were some audio signs, but we didn't get to listen to anything while we were walking around the outside walls.

I find it very convenient to not have to wait in line to get in and the Audio guide is perhaps not well organized with respect to the one they give on site. The one on the App has folders with numbers that do not match the folders with the tour numbers. Maybe that should be improved. Because you are walking around and checking your cell phone trying to find the folder with what corresponds to each room and the truth is a little annoying. But overall the balance is positive

It is probably due to the fact that the exhibits are rotated, added to or subtracted from but we felt that only half of it correlated with the Castel's own guide numbers, which were given as a cross reference. The first issue was that the itinerary at the castle has changed slightly and the entry point is different, which left me scrambling to figure out where I was and where to start the audio guide. The other issue was that the 'directions' often come after the information about a room is given, which meant I had to skip to the directions to get there and then rewind to the information, which is time consuming and takes away from the experience. I didn't find the guide to be seamless, and found myself standing trying to figure out where I was supposed to be often. Otherwise the guide was interesting.

The castle itself was incredible, absolutely loved it. The audio guide, however, was a bit of a mess. It would have directions to a certain area at the end of the playlist about that area. So you'd listen to everything and THEN be told how to get to that particular point of interest. Took a little bit to figure that out. And then it hasn't been updated to deal with rooms that have obviously been moved since the recording. The map within the guide could have been labelled to make it easier to figure out where you are. It all just felt quite difficult and messy when it didn't need to be.

The tour to Castel Sant'Angelo was good. It was just really warm. Signage for the route was very good in the whole venue. One small thing good for improvement. The audio tour was a bit difficult to get to be honest. Mainly since the little signs with headphones and a number did not correspond to the info in app. Maybe the app making people can make QR codes so that when you arrive at a sign you can scan that and then get the information talked to you what's appropriate for that location. And pushing it: have people choose from a short info and long indepth info version. :-) All in all..... a very much tour I would recommend to people! Enough time blocks available and easy to book.
