Castel Sant'Angelo is simply wonderful. A beautiful view of the city! It's well preserved and there are specific points where you can photograph the Vatican in the background. Fantastic. And it wasn't too crowded, which was great. A pleasant place where you can even enjoy wine and other drinks while enjoying the view. I highly recommend it to tourists in Rome.

Castel Sant'Angelo offers an absolutely splendid 360° panoramic view of Rome, which made our visit very enjoyable. Nevertheless, we did encounter some difficulties with the audioguide. It seems that the tour route had been altered by the official guide, rendering the information on the audioguide obsolete. What's more, the audio recordings were not in the right order, which made following the tour rather confusing.

Wow! Incredible! Visiting Castel Sant'Angelo is an incredible experience! The ticket avoided the queue at the ticket office, we went straight to the entrance, read the QRCode on our cell phone and entered. In other words, everything was smooth, safe and perfect! The tour to Castel Sant'Angelo was good. It was just really warm. Signage for the route was very good in the whole venue. One small thing good for improvement. The audio tour was a bit difficult to get to be honest. Mainly since the little signs with headphones and a number did not correspond to the info in app. Maybe the app making people can make QR codes so that when you arrive at a sign you can scan that and then get the information talked to you what's appropriate for that location. And pushing it: have people choose from a short info and long indepth info version. :-) All in all..... a very much tour I would recommend to people! Enough time blocks available and easy to book.

Roma never disappoints and neither did our visit to Castel Sant Angelo! It's a very nice place to escape the heat of city for a day, with a tonne of acient experiences. If you have young-teenage children, they'll love it too. If you’re just a nerdy adult with some spare time, you’ll have fun too! Quick tip, buy your tickets online to save big bucks. The audio guide was awful. It is probably due to the fact that the exhibits are rotated, added to or subtracted from but we felt that only half of it correlated with the Castel's own guide numbers, which were given as a cross reference. There wasn't much of a queue to skip and we would rather have used their own up-to-date guide, so not value for money.

I am so glad we got to tour the Castel Sant' Angelo. It has such a history. It has plenty of art on display and has a beautiful top view of Rome and the Vatican City. Great for taking nice photos. Also there is a cafe by the rooftop, Caffetteria Ristorante Le Terrazze, so you can enjoy a coffee, pastry, meal or icecream with the amazing view.

The castle is very nice and the tour is very enjoyable, a castle with its peculiarities the truth I liked visiting it, but the audio guide that comes this very poorly organized, you do not know which one you have to listen to as the application does not correspond to the posters that there are indicating the existence of audio in that room... I paid more for not find out well as if you explained a real guide with all the details, the information that gives you the application in some rooms is fine but you have to look for the corresponding audio and there are rooms that do not find the audio when it should be there.

It's really worth seeing the inside of Castel Sant'Angelo. The rooms are very magnificent, which you wouldn't believe when you stand in front of the castle. The first issue was that the itinerary at the castle has changed slightly and the entry point is different, which left me scrambling to figure out where I was and where to start the audio guide. The other issue was that the 'directions' often come after the information about a room is given, which meant I had to skip to the directions to get there and then rewind to the information, which is time consuming and takes away from the experience. I didn't find the guide to be seamless, and found myself standing trying to figure out where I was supposed to be often. Otherwise the guide was interesting.

The castle itself was incredible, absolutely loved it. The audio guide, however, was a bit of a mess. It would have directions to a certain area at the end of the playlist about that area. So you'd listen to everything and THEN be told how to get to that particular point of interest. Took a little bit to figure that out. And then it hasn't been updated to deal with rooms that have obviously been moved since the recording. The map within the guide could have been labelled to make it easier to figure out where you are. It all just felt quite difficult and messy when it didn't need to be.

I thought I was getting tickets with an audio guide...what I got was expensive tickets and an option to download an app with a guide that couldn't be played in the castle, unless I somehow traveled with headphones on me. The ticket worked perfectly and we could even enter earlier in the castle. BUT : Having a smartphone and downloading the app is mandatory to access the tickets and to listen to the audioguide... and you realize that only once the tickets are bought. Problematic when the children do not have their own smartphone. The audioguide is also poor, redondant and confused about the different historical periods. I would recommend to use the official website (coopculture) and buy the official audioguide.

My ticket was not delivered at all. When I asked for a refund they answered they sent it to me, which was not true. I asked them to sent me the confirmation e-mail, but it did not happened. It also turned out that the 3 ticekts that cost 22 euros on official website costed almost 80. Plus there is no option to mention that you have not recieved your ticket, so you need to choose another checkbox if you want to write such a review.

I paid 3 tickets for 27 € to visit the castle of Sant Angelo, which included an audio guide and an attendant to greet us. Instead, what we found was a girl at the door of the castle who simply gave us our tickets. We walked in with them and once inside, being denied the audio guide, we realized that we had been given tickets for 16. We were allowed to go back outside to talk to the girl who gave them to us and she had already disappeared. And I phoned Headout, got an AI who didn't understand me and got through to someone who hung up on me. Lousy attention to solve a mistake of theirs

No delay at the entrance with our prebooked ticket. Castel Sant' Angelo is not as glamorous as many of the other big tourist attractions but it has a fascinating history. The visit took in a museum with several models and paintings of how the site looked in different periods. There are great panoramic views of Rome from the higher levels.

This was a great tour. Didn't get chance to see it last time we visited Rome so was top of my list this time. The download guide was useful but we found it hard to know where to go at times as there were different numbers about for different tours but we managed to make our own way round. Low point was the cafe/bar. We wanted a drink... waited but no one came to us so we went inside and she told us to go outside and wait for the waiter. It is an imposing castle. It is a museum but you can feel what it was like to live there. The atmosphere takes you back to the difficult and special era when it was at its peak. I loved walking across the bridge with the Berninis sculpture, I loved seeing the museum portion that showed the different phases of how the building progressed over time. The ticket purchase was very fast , very convenient from home, I wanted to print it out but didn't make it in time, I left it electronically on my phone. We arrived ahead of time , as we had been requested and have no line at the entrance, the stuart read us the electronic ticket with the portable scanner and we entered. We are from Rome, but it had been years and years since we entered Castel Sant'Angelo!!! It is a wonderful, wonderful place!!! You can palpate history with your hands! We had the audio guide who told us all the history in the various centuries and vicissitudes. It is spectacular!!! Reminiscing to the wars it went through, to the Passetto of the Popes of the Renaissance, of the rooms with the fireplaces of the Middle Ages , and then , the view of Imperial Rome from the terrace : a magnificent thing is unparalleled!!! One could see the monuments to the Unknown Soldier, the Tiber flowing under the road the majestic Bridges , the Vatican Basilicas !!! And what about the view seen from the refreshment point, from the bar: we sat down to eat something, and continued to observe Rome from above !!! Outstanding !!! Now I understand why tourists come in droves to Rome !!! These places are present are in Rome !!!

The audio guide was not entirely clear. The audio was not in order (for example, the audio of the pope's room was at the end of the audio guide and in the visit of the castle, you enter that room at the beginning of the visit). Another detail is that I consider that the indications of each section, should be the first audio and not the last, because when you get the indications you have already heard everything else and you are lost. I think the idea is a good one, but the order and the audios need to be a little better.

What we didn't like was the downloadable audio guide. The stations indicated in the audio guide do not correspond to the real points in Castel Sant'Angelo. That's a bit confusing. I use trekking poles to assist on my balance and endurance in my walking. The staff were extremely curteous and staff at every level seemed quietly aware and were very subtly kind in asking if I needed any assistance on the more challenging accents and decents. It was easy to make the booking and all the information about the visits. It ws easy to downjload the ticket and share the guides with the other travellers. However none of the experiences booked followed the same route as the guide provided by Headout and so was very disjointed and in the end we gave up. To really make it an experience to remember the Headout team needs to follow the same route as the locations. The Express Guided Tour, which I chose to go with, is an excellent choice for someone who doesn't have the time for the full one. I felt like I got the most important bits of history and information about the place, plus after the tour, I was free to remain there however long I wanted with the official paper map of the place with all available rooms to visit shown on it, so I could just walk and speed through those room if I wanted (which I did).
