Château of Chantilly: Gardens and Great Stable

The chateau is beautiful and well tended to. The town is absolutely wonderful. The place perfectly captures the beauty and atmosphere we tend to think of in connection to France. The art collection at the chateau includes some beautiful pieces, stained glass windows, a couple of Raphaels and thousands of manuscripts. The last duke's spirit lives in every room of his home.

At the ticket office, the person had trouble finding my reservation. And we didn't get the audioguides as indicated on your site.

Amazing place. No queues, few people, great lunch at a fair price. I recommend. The trip from Paris to Chantilly requires prior planning on which trains to take. The ideal is to arrive in the morning and enjoy the day without haste. As the property is extensive I suggest a tour on the little train that includes explanations in three languages and then enjoy the places that most caught your attention.

It was very quiet we could walk very easely trough the gate. Visiting the castle was nice The parking lot was a drama. It declined my bankpass and creditcard several times, after about 15 times it finally accepted my creditcard. But afterall it was worth the trip.

The ticketing experience went without a hitch and if you want to see the amazing stables, the chateau and the grounds you have to show your tickets a couple of times. The chateau and its contents are well worth a visit as is the stables and a demonstration with a couple of horses mesmerised all ages in a half hour display with explanations in French by their handlers.

It's interesting to buy tickets online, it's great to take advantage of the offers and the visit to the château is magnificent. We had a lovely day.

It was nice to skip the line. We could enter immediatly. The exhibition in the castle was interesting. We had lovely weather. We walked inthe gardens. I can recommand a visit!
