Knowledge of Diana was great, made whole trip entertaining and educational bringing to life Spanish royal history. One small thing, no sign on arrival so confusing as to where guide was. Queues were enormous so picking this trip was very worthwhile bypassing them with group entry.

I had an absolutely incredible experience touring the Royal Palace of Madrid and the Prado Museum with Andrea. She was amazing from start to finish—full of great energy, extremely knowledgeable, and truly passionate about the history and art she shared with us. We had an enjoyable and knowledgeable tour with Raphael. We loved his stories, the information he provided on our walk to the Palace and while we were in the Palace. Skipping the queue was great and he always position us well. Very interesting Royal families! We headed back to the Markets after visiting the gardens of the Palace. Royal palace is so huge with approax 3500 rooms. And all rooms had different concepts and expnsive architectures. It was so well maintained and your guide was also with very good knowledge of the Royal palace history. Really we enjoyed a guided tour. Our tour with Beni was amazing. Beni had a thorough knowledge of the Riyal family and its history through time. The palace was overwhelming. The silk patterned walls were amazing in each individual room and the chandeliers. Loved every minute of the tour. Beni made sure we were together as a group.

It got me in which is what I wanted. The guide was pleasant but I struggled with the earpiece. The palace is astonishing but unbelievably busy so that effectively you are in a long queue from start to finish. These are the reasons why I have given an average score of 3/5.

The palace was very interesting. The rooms and artifacts were amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I enjoyed listening to our guide when I could hear him. Unfortunately, the headphones kept going in and out, and I missed a lot of what he was saying. The organization at the beginning of the tour could have been better. Instead of standing and waiting for everyone to arrive and then going in one by one to check in, it would have been better to have people check in as we arrived. This would have wasted less time at the beginning, and since we were a large group, we wouldn't have had to stand around on the sidewalk waiting so long. As I stated earlier, the palace itself was amazing. But again, organization could have been better. This was not necessarily the fault of our tour guide. As expected, it was crowded (10am tour) with several tour groups being admitted at the same time, which caused groups to be intermingled and made it difficult to stay with one's own group. Our guide attempted to keep us together, but this caused him to sometimes move quickly into the next room and describe things in that room before members of the group were able to catch up due to congestion. Along with the headphones going in and out, it was somewhat challenging at times to keep straight what was what. Despite these inconveniences, I still enjoyed seeing the palace, but wish I could have done it at a little slower pace with better headphones.

Sergio was simply amazing, possibly the best guide we had ever encountered. His education in Art and History served him right, while, at the same time, he took time to know the group, had the right balance of jokes and substance, was smart and always connected the dots, when people asked questions, as to why they were asking them and what they really meant, and also how their questions were linked with their background and historical context of their own countries' history. I had the most wonderful experience visiting the Palacio Real in Madrid with Paco as my guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and made the history of the palace come alive. I really enjoyed the tour of the Palaccio Real and the guide was very knowledgeable. However due to limited mobility I arranged to meet the tour at the Palace entrance . However I had to wait for 35 minutes with no resting place before the guide and tourists arrived. The actual Palace tour took nearly two hours so I was exhausted. Despite the extra time required (and energy) , I recommend a visit to the Palaccio Real

Walked right past the line and into security. The palace was beautiful and my 3 teens all enjoyed it. I would have researched the kitchen experiencce add on if I had known about it, at least for one daughter. The armory was closed when we were there, that would have been interesting. Also should have downloaded the audio guide. But there were signs that explained the rooms well.

My tour of the palace was amazing. The tour group was relatively small with only I think 8 of us which was good. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the palace. Naturally the palace itself was full of people and many other tour groups. But I still found that I could see everything and didn't feel like it was too overwhelming.

The palace tour is a real treat. It's beautiful and the audioguide is clear. The only drawback is that you can't visit the kitchens (another ticket) and the armory (closed). On the telephone audioguide, there's even a special tour for children.

Well, the first suggestion I would have is to be as early in your ticket time as possible. Makes for less stress and ensures you will take your time and truly enjoy the treats your eyes and ears will enjoy. Take a water in a small pack. As for what you will see, this is opulence and wealth on a level most, if not all will never know. Each wall, ceiling, painting, item and or carving is a masterpiece! Let yourself enjoy what your eyes are fiesting on. This is a joy and wonder that bring WOW into your world. I suggest your bring EarPods of any kind to take advantage of the Audio Tiur. It helps add detail to the images you are seeing. This was my favorite "museum". Unfortunately, the Armoury Museum was closed while we were there. A shame to have missed that. Well worth the time and experience!!!! Number 1 on my list.

Very enjoyable tour of the Palace and it was worthwhile. The kitchen tour was in Spanish while English was elected on the ticket. The echo-y nature of the kichen area made understanding Spanish (second language) difficult. Other: Website needs work. There was no audio download of tour available. We had to rent those for ten euro. Cannot download and print the tickets, only visible through the app. It may be that there is better service elsewhere.

By booking the tickets, we no longer had to queue and were able to start our visit at the agreed time. With the guide in German, our visit to the palace was a great experience that we will remember for a long time to come. Downloading the app for the guide was a little difficult as there is not very good reception on the site. But once it was done, everything went smoothly.

The wall plaques in English do not give interesting or enough information and the goose does not give you enough time to read it. The security people are rude. Did not skip the line. The are 2 lines - one for tickets and one for no tickets. There's nothing special about skip the line ticket.

I bought the entrance ticket without an audio guide and without a tour of the kitchen. The entrance was practically queue-free, but I recommend buying in advance because the queue to buy tickets on the spot is very long. I loved entering the palace, it's worth every penny, the place is fantastic inside, and the visit takes a long time, it's very big.

The skip-the-line part was great! Security checks still took ~10 minutes, but the advance ticket holder line was much shorter than those trying to buy same-day tickets. The armory was closed, which based on the recommended times per section, reduced our time there by 40%, but there wasn't a reduction in ticket price. It would have been nice to know this in advance so we could adjust our plans accordingly. I also read reviews about how beautiful the gardens were, but they weren't part of the ticket (because they are free), but also not accessable from the inside of the palace. It would have been an additional 20 minute walk to get to an entrance to the garden.

Great tour, lots of lovely things to see! The staff were helpful. Inside, each room was more breathtaking than the last. The Throne Room was unforgettable — velvet walls, golden lions, chandeliers the size of small cars. Every detail screamed power and elegance. I loved how the line was pretty short if you had a ticket, so I didn’t have to wait a lot. The palace itself truly amazed me, with all of its stories, its definitely an architectural gem. My personal favorite was a room full of gorgeous stukkos, forming flowers and leafs. Also the crowd was just right, it didn’t feel suffocating inside.

I managed to sort the App and to access my tickets without any problem. The Royal Palace Madrid is interesting- but overwhelming in it's opulence! We arrived early and gave ourselves time to look briefly around the Palace (50 mins ish, after 10 mins in queue and 5 getting bag screen and picking up an audio guide) before the kitchen tour, which I enjoyed. Was also some cool shade on a hot day! The Palace was getting very busy by the time we left and queues were long- we were pleased we'd been advised about that by other Headout users.

Madrid's Royal Palace is definitely one of the city's most striking attractions. The visit went well overall, although it is useful to know that despite the advance purchase of the ticket, there is a line of about half an hour before entering. Once inside, the organization was efficient and the rooms are spectacular: the halls are well-kept, rich in history and well explained, and there is no need to take self-guided tours. It is worth taking the time to explore at leisure. The only negative note: the bathrooms were definitely dirty and poorly maintained, which is surprising at a site of this level. Overall, however, the visit is worthwhile and a must-see for anyone visiting Madrid.

A good way to skip the queue's and see the palace with explanation. The sound quality was OK, but not great. This is partly likely as I am a hearing aid user, so had to remove them to use the headphones. I found the sound to be boomy when the volume raised and better with the volume lower. The palace itself is spectacular, even though part of me thinks that the oppulence is somewhat obscene in this day and age, but hey it's history that is worth seeing!

Our tour guide was very informative she also engaged the group by asking questions keeping it interactive. The issue we had is we had to wait for 2 parties to show up. We stood in the hot sun waiting from 3:15 to 3:40. The time requested us to be present was 3:15. She was being told to continue to wait for the parities that were late.. We then moved forward into the palace at 3:40 and then we had to wait again because the parties arrived . If a party is not there at the time the ticket said which was please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time. Start time was 3:30 time to meet was 3:15. The entire group had to wait for these individuals that did not follow the guidelines. My suggestion is a 15 minute grace period. If they are not there by 3:30 start the tour.

Beautiful palace, I had an audio guide, waste of time as it only repeated what was on the notices in English in each room. Too crowded, especially when a guided tour came through, 20+ people pushing past and blocking the room. Also, the toilets at the bottom of the main staircase were disgusting, no paper only in the handicapped toilet which was covered in excrement, the 3 other toilets had used paper thrown on the floor and the bins were overflowing. Clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Disgusting for a Royal Palace.

The palace is beautiful! Definitely worth checking out. We had trouble downloading the PDF of the ticket from the app and there's no WiFi at the palace. I went next door and tried their WiFi but it still didn't work. They needed the PDF to scan. After about a half hour, they let us in but we couldn't get the audio. I tried again later with WiFi to download the tickets on the app and it still didn't work.

The skip-the-line ticket was very helpful. We waited only a few minutes. The only downside was that we booked for Saturday and after paying an email came saying there were no more seats. We had to make Sunday quickly because we had a flight at 4 pm. By the way, the Sunday ticket was cheaper but we did not receive a refund for the difference.

The palace is opulent and awesome. The reason I took off one star is that the armory was closed and we wanted to see that. Also we waited in line instead of "skip the line" becaeuse there didn't seem to be any place allowing people in that way. There was no way to know how to skip the line.

The tickets mention "skip the line" tickets. However, there is no such thing as skip the line at the Royal Palace. We had to wait in line for an hour before entering the palace. Please advertise the tickets correctly to avoid bad expectations from customers. Also, it would be more practical to have the tickets attached to the email instead of forcing customers to go into the app. At the venue, the tickets were not loading in the app and it took a couple tries to make them appear. So we lost time there, losing time for the person scanning tickets and people behind us. Also, I always share the tickets with my partner, in case one of use lose our phone or have internet issues, we are fine. I was not able to do that because I couldn't download the tickets from the app... I didn't like to use the app for these reasons.

Really pleased we took the time to book this english speaking tour. Our guide Beatrice was both friendly & knowledgeable. The brief city tour en-route to the Royal Palace was very interesting for us as our Spanish history is not great. The Palace tour itself was much better by having Beatrice talk about all the important aspects of each room we visited and lots of extra bits of history that we would have missed had we tried to do it by ourselves. We would throughly recommend! Great tour!

Fantastic tour with Rocia, truly informative, fun, and well-paced. It would help to kinow that the tour departys from the other plaza; in other such tours, we went to an office to exchange our headout passes for tickets, and then went to the main site to begin. We went to the plaza looking for some sort of office. More precise instructions for that part would be helpful m- "your btour will depart from plaza...the tour guide will meet you at the plaza at 12:45, with a sign saying ...then you will walk to the palace "(5 minute wal;k), get headsets, deposit bags, and enter" etc.

To say visiting the Royal Palace of Spain is an extraordinary thing, especially when accompanied by a prepared patient and clear person. Added value to the experience was your staff, whom we waited in front of the palace instead of going to their headquarters. Our tour guide, Marta, was exceptional, vibrant, thorough and interesting. She managed a large group and some difficult palace staff really well. Our 9.45 am tour was cancelled, which we found out about only when we arrived at the appointed time. Your staff claimed contact was made to inform me of this by either phone or email - but when we checked it was clear we didn't receive any notifications. No apology was offered on the day and no explanation given. Tour was rescheduled to 11.45 Will not recommend your company.

The skip the line tickets made it so easy. The queue was probably 100 meters and we just walked straight in. The palace is a spectacular place to visit, with interesting stuff for everybody. Old masters hang on the walls. With a music room full of Stratovarius instruments. The audio tour is great to listen to and watch (and keep to show others)

Good, when I wanted to book by laptop they rejected the payment, by cell phone I could do it with the same card...weird, I comment because sometimes it complicates. When I got there, they wanted me to make the long line was a single to buy and enter ... I understand that it is the responsibility of the Palace. Anyway, I had a knee problem and they let me in showing the medical certificate...so I finally did not queue. The palace is highly recommended !!!!!

Overall, purchasing an advance ticket to beat the queses was good. But the armoury was closed as was the pharmacy. No notification in advance, or on arrival and only informed when you arrived at the entrances to these parts of the Palace. I appreciate cancellations may occur but to the only advised by a sign at the entrance needs to be improved.

We would have preferred a tour that had left on time (10am) and had gone directly to The Royal Palace, Although Laura was very sweet and patient, we found her English difficult to understand to the point that my husband just turned off the audio. Still, we made the best of it and were glad we went.

Visiting the Royal Palace of Madrid was definitely one of the highlights of our time in Spain. This was a great experience and the tickets really did help in skipping the long lines to purchase tickets on side. There was still a bit of waiting involved ahead of security screening but it wasn't very long at all. It's Europe’s largest functioning royal palace, with over 3,400 rooms! While the Spanish royal family no longer lives there, it’s still used for official ceremonies. The royal banquet hall was especially impressive. We were surrounded by lavish gold detailing, frescoed ceilings, velvet walls, portraits, musical instruments and so much more. The Throne and Porcelain Rooms were my favourites. It truly felt like stepping into a different world, one of unimaginable wealth and grandeur. I was positively surprised that they now allow visitors to take photos! Highly recommended

Powercut in Spain on 28th April meant our train from Murcia did not leave the station. The subsequent Internet and mobile phone network prevented notification. Whilst we travelled to Madrid on 29th April by train we arrived too late to be able to take a tour of the palace. Not really Headout's fault but the train operator and rail company both automatically refunded costs.

I cannot work out why 4 senior tickets at E7 comes to E63 even with booking fee. Once in the first door there is another ticket check across the courtyard. My ticket would not load again and we were almost turned away. Will probably not use this system again. Sorry
