Berlin WelcomeCard with Potsdam: Public Transport (Zones AB) & Discounts

Both U- and S-bahn were very comfortable, signs in the stations were very clear. Travelling thrpugh Berlin was very easy and fast. Purchasing the tickets online was quote easyJet and also fast. Great!

so easy to use the card, and such a good public transport system which makes being a visitor to berlin a very positive experience

We hebben meer musea bezocht dan we zonder de Welcome Berlin Card zouden bezoeken. Een nadeel was wel dat je vaak online moest reserveren, maar niet altijd kon aangeven dat je die Welcome Berlin Card had en dus de beloofde korting zou willen krijgen.

Mostly friendly staff and the connections are great. The visit to the dome in the Reichstag was super great

Thanks to the Welcome Card, we were able to use public transport without any problems and also had cheaper admission. Unfortunately not to the Victory Column 🙂

U-bahn is perfect. But the signalisation about the traffic on S-bahn Potsdammerplatz is really poor and not clear for tourists.

Es ist super, dass man mit der WelcomeCard problemlos die Verkehrsmittel nutzen kann und es viele Ermäßigungen auf Events- und Veranstaltungen gibt. Wünschemswert wäre noch die Einbindung der Cards in das elektronisch Smartphone-Wallet.

Use of local public transport (although this was marked by delays and cancellations), discounts at the Renaissance Theater, Friedrichstadtpalast, BKA Theater, Brücke Museum, Kunsthaus Dahlem, Bröhan Museum, Scharff-Gerstenberg, etc.

It was great to be able to use transport without worrying about how and where to buy a ticket. The discounts in museums were an unexpected bonus.

We were able to use public transportation extensively with two Berlin welcome Cards and two children under 14. When we went to a museum (also on the city tour), the family card was usually a little cheaper than the discount with the Berlin Welcome Card. From there we used it practically only for driving. Therefore, only an ok.

Good value for money given that we used the public transport a lot during our stay. Discounts to attractions was also handy. Well worth investing in the card if you intend to use public transport to get around

Have gone uncomplicated with public transport, have visited great events at Berlin leuchtet. Had a good inexpensive hotel. Almost perfect except for the weather on Saturday 😜

It was simple, straightforward and easy to use and understand, unlike almost all our other experiences with, for example, museums, websites, and so on.

Thanks to the 72h ticket, we were able to move freely through the city without having to constantly look for fares. We will do it that way again.

I have now booked no event about it because it was not in the offer what interested me or us, but it was no problem for us, we had booked the train and bus ticket for 5 days and were very satisfied with it, thank you again.

The Welcome Ticket is really a great thing - if it would work. Some museums are only bookable online, and here is always missing the function or the clear indication: "...am a holder of a Welcome Card...". This means: We have quite often had to pay the regular price.... This can go better! P.S.: What surprised me then nevertheless, is that there are apparently no ticket controls in Berlin... Do all the people there travel without a ticket? The staff at the museums was certainly friendly by Berlin standards. If you are somewhere else and have a comparison (with southern Germany or even internationally), that gives a 2 out of 10 points.

Very easy ticketing system, various discounts and, above all, convenience in transportation. I didn't have to worry if I had a ticket for something, because it was for all types of transportation.

Die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel sind nach einer kurzen Eingewöhnung perfekt um Berlin zu erkunden. Die Tram hat uns besonders viel Spaß gemacht. Alles super vernetzt!!!

Für mich als Oma waren die Tage in Berlin ein Rückerinnern an vergangene Tage mit allem was man erleben konnte oder auch musste, die Mauer z.B. Unsere Enkeltöchter konnten selbst sehen worüber die Großeltern oft gesprochen hatten, die Historie z.B. im Pergamonmuseum, über Geschichte z.B. im Mauermuseum bis hin zur Gegenwart im Regierungsviertel. Es war eine lohnende Reise. Die Fotos haben die Enkel.
