Vi valgte Louvre for å få opplevelsen av å besøke et av verdens største museer. Folkemengden ... hva kan man gjøre ... Paris er populært. Besøket var helt overveldende, fra de store åpne visningsrommene til det utsøkte håndverket i salene, gulvene og takene. Men da vi gikk opp en trapp, ble min kone plutselig overrasket da hun kjente at noen bak henne forsøkte å rote i håndvesken hennes, akkurat som når man hører om lommetyver i metroen. Hun stoppet opp og snudde seg rundt. Jeg hadde ingen anelse om hvorfor hun stoppet. Da hun forklarte det, fortsatte paret bak å gå forbi oss. Og i løpet av sekunder var de borte. Det var en lærdom når man er på travle steder: Hold vesken foran deg. Bortsett fra det merkelige tilfellet kommer vi til å besøke Louvre igjen. Jeg besøkte Versailles-slottet forrige onsdag, og jeg ble utrolig imponert! Til tross for at det var en travel dag, håndterte personalet folkemengden svært effektivt, noe som gjorde opplevelsen mye morsommere. Versailles' enorme skala og overdådighet var virkelig fantastisk å være vitne til - jeg synes faktisk det var mer fengslende enn Louvre-museet! En uforglemmelig historisk og kunstnerisk opplevelse.
