Det beste med turen vår til Colosseum, Forum og Palatinerhøyden var definitivt guiden vår. Hun var kunnskapsrik og hadde en flott måte å formidle budskapet sitt på, til og med en liten vits nå og da. Anleggene er utrolig inspirerende med tanke på alder, konstruksjon og formål.

Jeg dro på en veldig koselig, privat omvisning med Marle Robinson, sammen med tre andre turister. Marle var utrolig kunnskapsrik, og delte fascinerende historier fra historien gjennom hele opplevelsen. Hun er veldig skarp og vittig, med mange morsomme vitser for å holde oss engasjert. Samtidig var hun svært oppmerksom på behovene våre, og sørget for at vi fikk i oss nok væske, at vi aldri gikk for langt fra hverandre og hadde god tid til å ta et par bilder. Turen ga oss rask adgang til stedene, og vi kom oss raskt gjennom severdighetene på grunn av selskapets størrelse. Det er tydelig at guiden vår brenner for temaene som tas opp på omvisningen, siden hun selv er praktiserende forsker. Denne turen anbefales på det varmeste!

Det var fint å være i en liten gruppe, og Siriki, guiden vår, var fantastisk! Han var så kunnskapsrik og svarte på alle spørsmålene våre etter hvert som de dukket opp. Han ga oss ikke bare fakta og tall, men fortalte oss historier for å hjelpe oss å forstå hvordan det var å leve i romertiden og hvilke sentrale roller Colosseum og Forum spilte i hverdagslivet på den tiden. Vi anbefaler denne turen og denne guiden på det varmeste.

You will enter the iconic monument from the newly-opened Gladiator's Entrance, giving you a unique vantage point of the Colosseum. This allows you to slip past the long lines at the main entrances and enter from the back. Marvel at the impressive architecture as you walk past the Arena Floor, just like the gladiators who stepped out there for fights to the death. The partial reconstruction of the arena floor gives you a stunning view of the tiered ruins from where up to 80,000 spectators once cheered on for these gory fights.

An expert English-speaking guide will accompany you and regale you with stories about the Colosseum. Varying from exotic staged hunts and mock sea battles, the true stories about this impressive monument are what legends are made of.

What to bring

You must carry a valid ID with you and present it at the time of entry if requested. Should you fail to do so, venue authorities may deny you entry and such instances are not liable for reschedules or refunds.

Unfortunately, the Colosseum Arena Floor is not accessible by wheelchair.

You will be given a brief introduction to the history of the Roman Forum and the most famous monuments before visiting them on your own.

At the Colosseum, please use the priority entrance line on the left for the mandatory security check.

You can only enter on the date and time you choose when booking this experience.

What's not allowed

For safety and security reasons, no large backpacks or pieces of luggage are allowed inside the Colosseum. No storage facility is available.

You can, however, take a baby stroller into the Colosseum with you, should it be necessary.
