Admire Breathtaking Views from the Bizkaia Bridge
Take in the panoramic views from the 19th-century Bizkaia or “Hanging" Bridge. With an audio guide, learn about its creative design by Alberto de Palacio and how it is a representation of the iron industry in the area. See the distinct contrast between Portugalete and Getxo towns that were formed on either side of the river.
Wander Through Portugalete And Getxo
Journey through the steep and narrow streets of Portugalete and note the stark variation in social development from Getxo. Pass through the medieval village and the Camino de Santiago routes. Next, move onto Getxo on the right side of the bank. Tour the majestic Las Arenas, the palaces of Neguri, and the houses of Old Port in Algorta that date back centuries. Arrive at the Punta Galea cliffs at for some awesome views. After a day packed with history and views, return to the hotel in Bilbao. Feliz Viaje!
