De voorstelling was geweldig. De acteurs en de band waren van topklasse!! Die dragqueens konden zingen. Het theater was heel intiem; iedereen had een goede zitplaats. Tegen het einde werd het wel een beetje warm, dus ik zou aanraden om comfortabele kleding te dragen. Onze hele groep heeft genoten van de avond en zou de voorstelling zeker aanbevelen.

Hamilton is een geweldige ervaring. De dansers en zangers zijn fantastisch, met zulke precieze bewegingen en bovendien prachtige stemmen. De sfeer is geweldig; het oude theater straalt zo’n vorstelijke uitstraling uit als alleen de jaren ’20 dat konden. We zaten in loge Albert 1-3; het zicht vanaf de bovenste rijen is enigszins beperkt, maar dat was niet erg, want het meeste speelt zich beneden af en was goed te zien. Alleen de airconditioning draait op volle toeren en het was voor ons drieën duidelijk te koud en te tochtig op onze plaatsen. Het is ten zeerste aan te raden om een jasje mee te nemen!

Hamilton heeft slechts één podium, maar het meeslepende verhaal, de energieke liedjes en de acteurs nemen je bij elke stap mee op hun levensreis. Een werkelijk ontroerende productie waarin muzikale vertelkunst en perfect getimede emoties – variërend van gelach tot diep verdriet – naadloos in elkaar overvloeiden. Het was een voorrecht om op de tweede rij te zitten en het echte zweet en de tranen van de cast te zien; bekijk de foto’s vanaf stoel B24. Een echte aanrader.

Mason speelde een geweldige Mary! Een fantastische cast. We wisten niet goed wat we konden verwachten toen we gingen zitten, maar ze hebben ons de hele voorstelling lang aan het lachen gehouden.

Het theater is prachtig. Je hebt het gevoel dat je zo dicht bij de acteurs zit. Het personeel was erg behulpzaam. Katherine Tate was ontzettend grappig en had een prachtige stem. Het stuk was goed geschreven. Ik ben zo blij dat we de kans hebben gehad om de voorstelling met deze groep acteurs te zien.

Dit toneelstuk en de cast waren werkelijk fantastisch. Ik had het boek al gelezen en de film al gezien, maar toen ik dit verhaal nu op het toneel zag, sprongen de tranen me echt in de ogen.

Zoals ik al eerder zei, verlaat men het theater met tranen in de ogen, niet alleen vanwege de geweldige zonen, maar ook vanwege de Hilário-achtige muzikaliteit van sommige castleden…
