Het museum herbergt een aantal van de beste werken van het impressionisme, er zijn geen lange wachtrijen (bezocht op een zaterdagmiddag), ik heb ook een show met dansers bijgewoond. Ik kon de audiogids die ik had gekocht niet downloaden, waarschijnlijk vanwege het trage netwerk, ik raad aan dit eerst te doen!

Parijs is zonder twijfel een prachtige stad. Van Montmarte, met zijn artistieke steegjes, tot het Louvre museum, tot de Eiffeltoren die 's avonds verlicht is, elke hoek ruikt naar kunst. Zelfs het Musée d'Orsay in het treinstation met zijn schilderijen van Van Gogh en Renoir, zijn glazen dak en zijn kostbare klok, een iconisch symbool van de Franse kunst, maken deel uit van deze spectaculaire stad. Het overslaan van de wachtrij en het binnengaan op het gekozen tijdstip maakte het bezoek nog leuker.

De fast track tickets waren geweldig om te hebben! Het was zo druk in de Orsay dat we zonder deze tickets uren in de rij hadden gestaan. We kozen ervoor om de audiogids die we hadden gekocht niet te gebruiken. Ook hier beperkte de drukte onze mogelijkheden om te stoppen, te kijken en te luisteren. In de toekomst zal ik eerder boeken en een gids nemen. Met dank aan Head Out - de enige die ons last minute tickets voor de Orsay kon bezorgen!Patricia

We deden een rondleiding op eigen gelegenheid door het museum en brachten een paar uur door met genieten van de kunst en een lekkere maaltijd in de Orsay. De dag was gewoonweg verrukkelijk vanwege de omgeving (alleen al het voormalige treinstation is de moeite waard), de tentoonstellingen en de manier van tentoonstellen.
