Officially launched in 2002 and revamped in 2006 with a new wildlife range, Langkawi Wildlife Park is built on the idea that visitors should closely interact with wildlife to have a completely unique experience.
The park is home to over 150 species of birds and animals, from all over the world, including Africa, South America, Australia, Russia, and Southeast Asia. A massive man-made aviary is present at the park which allows birds to fly around freely and without any constraint. Each habitat of the aviary is designed to accommodate the needs of different species, ensuring that all creatures are comfortable in their natural habitats. There are over 2500 exotic birds present in the park of which 1500 are present in the aviary.
A defined path inside the park ensures that visitors don’t miss out on anything. A man-made waterfall within the park, falling from a 15-meter high cliff, is quite a sight to behold! The park also sells animal feed which you can purchase and feed the animals, under the supervision of the staff. You’ll get a chance to enter the enclosures and interact closely with the birds and animals.
Langkawi Wildlife Park also features a crystal store and a duty-free retail store where you can purchase souvenirs and memorabilia.
