Versailles tickets were sold out on line but headout made it happen for us in addition we had the bed tour guide who was so versed in the history of Versailles and took us places that other tours don't go. A fantastic experience. Really, memorable.

Der Einlass in einen Teil der führ die Öffentlichkeit ohne Tour nicht zugänglich war. Und das eine Karte führ die Gärten und das Tyrionn Gälende mit dabei war.

La guide Paola était très bien. Nous étions tous français, de différentes régions. Elle nous a donné des explications sur les aspects qui reliaient l'histoire à Versailles avec celle de notre région ( elle a insisté sur le portrait de Marie Leszczynska, épouse de Louis XV et fille de Stanislas, duc de Lorraine.) Nous avons aimé la Chapelle, la Galerie des Glaces, .... Nous avons de belles photos, je ne sais pas les envoyer. Dommage !

Our guide Mathis was very good. He tells the history of the palace in a funny way that keeps us engaged in the tour. I love how everything was on time. There were two guests with walking sticks and Mathis was very accommodating. He got seats for them to sit so they didn't have to stand as long. He also offered to take our picture in the picture room as our group was not so big!

Upgrade to all-access tickets to explore the ornate King and Queen's State Apartments. Learn about the French monarchy and explore the themed salons and their elaborate ceiling paintings. Next, make your way to the glittering Hall of Mirrors. Designed to protect the ornate walls and ceilings from smoke, the hall’s 357 mirrors were strategically placed to reflect the light of candles. With just a few flames, the reflection from so many mirrors was enough to light up the whole hall!

During high season, from Apr through Oct, it is recommended to visit the Palace early in the morning, right when it opens.

Tue and weekends generally see the most traffic, especially on days of water fountain shows.
