This was a wonderful tour taking us into the Kings apartments. The group was 20 people, so not too big, and we visited areas that the main crowds didn't get to see.It felt very exclusive. Bo was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. She had interesting stories to tell which helped bring the history to life. We joined the crowds for the last part of the tour which was a bit chaotic, but Bo managed this well. After the tour finished we had free access to the gardens and Marie Antoinette's house. Thoroughly recommended.

Le tout et le guide étaient parfait. Par contre je ne comprends pas les prix : vous m'avez facturé 330 Euros, quand le prix réel de la visite était 180 euros pour 4 personnes !!!

Our tour guide was knowledgeable about the place and the history of the era. She was engaging and often times, I felt we were the only tour in the room, despite being an extremely busy day at the Palace.

Walk into rooms normally off limits with an expert guide, getting a close look at life that once played out behind the palace walls.

Meet your guide on site, have your entry validated and walk in together to start your visit inside the king's apartment rooms as a group.

From the king's rooms you continue into the state rooms, then walk the length of the Hall of Mirrors to take in its reflections and views.

When you finish inside, head into the gardens to wander past fountains, pools and groves that spread out from the palace toward the horizon.

Your visit combines a guided tour of the King's private apartments with passport-level access to the wider Versailles estate, depending on the option you select.

Features

Step into the King's private apartments of Louis XV and Louis XVI on a 90-minute guided tour, accessing rooms that are normally closed to the general public.

Continue with a guided tour of the Palace of Versailles that covers the Grand Apartment and includes access to the Hall of Mirrors, with skip-the-line entry to the palace as per the option selected.

Benefit from an expert certified guide available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, or German in a small-group tour for up to 6 or 20 guests, depending on the ticket you choose.

Enjoy skip-the-line access to the Grand Apartment and the Hall of Mirrors at the end of the tour if you select an option that includes this feature.

Access the Versailles Gardens for a guided walk through the gardens or a self-guided visit, and, from April to October, experience the Versailles Gardens Fountain or Musical show if this is included in your chosen option.

Extend your visit across the Trianon Estate and Queen's Hamlet with a passport ticket or applicable ticket that includes access to these areas.

Visit additional spaces such as the Gallery of Coaches, the Royal Tennis Court, and temporary exhibitions when you select an option that provides access to these sites.

After the guided portion, continue with a self-guided tour of the Palace of Versailles, Gardens, and Trianon Estate if your chosen ticket includes this flexibility.

What’s not allowed

You cannot re-enter after leaving the Palace and Garden premises.

Animals are not allowed in the palace, gardens, or Trianon Estate.

Weapons and sharp objects are not allowed on the premises.

Accessibility

The palace is largely accessible to visitors with reduced mobility, with ramps, elevators, and adapted restrooms available across most areas, including the gardens and the Trianon Estate.

Wheelchairs are available to borrow, and designated accessible parking spaces are provided.

Additional information

You cannot leave valuable items or clothing in the left-luggage office.

You must collect left luggage before 6pm from April to October and before 5pm from November to March.

To join your guided tour, you must show an admission ticket for the same day along with your tour ticket.

The guided tour of the King's private apartments lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

You will use a dedicated waiting line for the tour, which is shorter than the regular palace entry line.
