What an unforgettable experience! Our sunset climb over The O2 was made even more special by our fantastic guide, Theo. He was friendly, knowledgeable and reassuring throughout, making sure everyone felt safe, relaxed and able to enjoy the spectacular views. The Prosecco at the top as the sun set over London was the perfect touch. To top it all off, Ariana Grande was performing the final night of her run at The O2 beneath our feet—making an already brilliant evening feel completely magical. A unique London experience that we would thoroughly recommend. Thank you, Theo!

The climb itself was really thrilling, after reaching the top I got to see the horizon with a sunset which was really stunning. Also, the staff were really nice and made the occasion really memorable.

Lisa was awesome, we arrived from Toronto Canada. Lisa was very knowledgeable on history and facts on London. While we were climbing always checking in on us. When we reached the top she took amazing pictures of myself and my daughter. It's an experience we will always remember. Thank you Lisa 😀

Getting started

Arrive at the Up at The O2 base near the main entrance, where you’ll check in and receive a safety briefing. After gearing up with your climb suit and harness, your expert guide will introduce the route and lead your group to the starting platform.

What to expect

Sunset or Twilight Climb

Time your adventure with the golden hour and enjoy the skyline bathed in soft light with views stretching up to 15 miles in all directions, with the Sunset Climb. Experience the magic of London as day fades into night with the Twilight Climb for a more dramatic and romantic atmosphere atop the roof.

Features:

360° city views: Reach the summit for sweeping views of historic Greenwich, Canary Wharf, and the Olympic Park, with visibility up to 15 miles on clear evenings.

Sunset experience: Watch the city transform as the sun sets, bathing London’s skyline in warm, auburn light.

Twilight experience: Witness the city light up around you against a dusky, violet-blue sky. Spot illuminated landmarks from your elevated vantage point, including the Shard and the London Eye (on clear nights).

Expert guidance: Climb with a trained guide who ensures safety and shares insights about the O2 and surrounding landmarks.

Purpose-built walkway: Traverse a specially designed walkway that mimics the surface of the O2, adding a sense of adventure to your ascent.

What to bring

Trousers are the best choice for this experience, allowing for a proper fit of the safety harness.

What’s not allowed

Safety is a priority, so this experience is restricted for guests under the age of 8 years, under the height of 1.2m (3.94ft), and over the weight of 130kg (286.60lb), with a maximum waist measurement of 125cm, and a maximum upper thigh measurement of 75cm.

This experience is restricted for guests under the influence of alcohol or legal or illegal substances.

Pregnant people are restricted from participating in this experience.

Additional information

A minimum supervision ratio of 1:5 is mandated, with one adult for every five children aged under 18 years.
