Visiting the Vatican Museums was honestly one of those experiences that’s hard to fully put into words. I expected it to be impressive, but I didn’t realize just how massive and intense it would feel until I was actually there. It’s not just a museum but it feels like you’re walking through layers of history, one room after another. What I liked most was how every section had a different vibe. Some rooms felt so grand and detailed that you almost didn’t know where to look, while others felt calmer and gave you space to slow down a bit. I caught myself pausing more than I usually would in a museum, just to take in the small details of the ceilings, the colors, the expressions in the artwork. The Sistine Chapel was definitely the highlight. Even though it was crowded and a bit chaotic, there was still this quiet sense of awe in the room. Looking up at the ceiling in real life just hits differently and it’s way more powerful than any photo you’ve seen before. That said, it can get pretty overwhelming. There’s a lot of walking, a lot of people, and honestly, a lot to take in. After a while, everything starts to blur together if you’re not careful. If I could do it again, I’d probably focus on a few sections instead of trying to see everything. Overall, I’m really glad I went. It’s one of those places that lives up to the hype, even if it’s a bit exhausting. Definitely something I’ll remember for a long time.

Aanrader om vlot in het museum te komen! Goed vindbare locatie om te verzamelen. Je meld je en krijgt een sticker zodat je herkenbaar bent voor de begeleider van de groep. Het museum en de Sixtijnse kapel zijn werkelijk prachtig. Enorm veel te zien. Een tip wat ons betreft: neem niet het laatste ticket om 17.30 uur. Tegen 19.00 uur waren we door de Kapel heen (we liepen met alle anderen er op ons gemak doorheen, er is ook waanzinnig veel moois te zien!) en wilde daarna het museum in. Dat ging niet meer. Tegen 19.15 uur sloten ze haast alle ruimten al. Tot 20.00 uur open, ja, maar je ziet dan maar 1 van beiden: de kapel of het museum.

Lo que hizo especial mi visita a museos vaticanos y capilla Sixtina con Headout es que estuve muy tranquila disfrutando una deliciosa comida y una exquisita cerveza cerca de los museos comimos mi familia y yo con mucha tranquilidad entramos a los museos vaticanos sin formarnos inmediatamente la hora fue excelente nos dió.tiempo perfectamente para disfrutar las pinturas y sobretodo de la capilla Sixtina hermosa sin prisas eso es lo que más valoro mi tranquilidad , había muchísima gente formadas perdiendo el tiempo en esas filas inmensas y yo tomándome una deliciosa Chela!!! Salud

Ho acquistato un biglietto salta fila con host e anche se all' inizio ero titubante data la mia prima esperienza, mi sono davvero ricreduto. Ci hanno fatto entrare direttamente ai controlli da una corsia preferenziale senza nessuna fila. Ci hanno consegnato i biglietti prima di entrare e ci hanno accompagnati fino a dentro. Esperienza ottima e soprattutto un'agenzia dove andare a parlare non come i "bagarini" che ci sono in giro e che anche alcuni siti recensiti ci fanno affidamento.

Las estrellas se las he dado a la persona que nos llevó hasta la entrada con una organización y rapidez increíble. Pero lo que es indignante es tener entradas a Vaticano: museos y Basílica, para el día 3 de Abril a las 11:15h y al terminar los museos con la mayor rapidez que podíamos porque te obligan a pasar por todos.... Resulta que la Basílica estaba cerrada al público a partir de las 12:30. Porque no nos avisaron al comprar las entradas???? INDIGNANTE

Nuestra guía se encargó de todo perfectamente. Nos saltamos todas las colas y además nos acompañó hasta la entrada de los museos sin tener que preocuparnos de nada. También nos ofreció un guía que nos explicaría todos los detalles de forma gratuita (en inglés), pero no teníamos mucho tiempo y decidimos hacer la visita por nuestra cuenta. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

Der Zugang zum Treffpunkt war gesperrt, das Büro war sofort erreichbar und hat freundlich um Entschuldigung gebeten, obwohl sie für die Umstände nichts konnten, es wurde umgehend ein neuer Treffpunkt arrangiert, es hat alles perfekt geklappt und die Begleitung zum Einlass war super freundlich trotz des Stresses, Danke für das tolle Erlebnis !

Très pratique le billet coupe file. L ´hôtesse qui nous attendait était super. Un vrai gain de temps. Le seul petit hic c'est qu en expliquant le point de rencontre se serait bien de rajouter que c'est carrément derrière le Vatican . Sinon RAS

Once you meet your host at the designated meeting point, you will take a short walk to the entrance to the Vatican Museums. Upon entering, you will be free to roam the Museum and Sistine Chapel at your own pace. The Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel boast the finest artwork ever to be made. Made up of 54 galleries, the Vatican Museums house one of the largest, and also the most important, collections of Renaissance art in the world. Built in the 15th century, the Sistine Chapel's walls and ceilings are covered in some of the most astounding frescoes ever produced.

Marvel Michaelangelo's Final Judgement

The 54th gallery of the Vatican Museums is the famed Sistine Chapel. Originally built in the 15th Century, the paintings by Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel were painted in the 16th century. View many of the most famous frescoes in the world, including the famous ceiling and Final Judgement painted by Michelangelo. Not only does the Sistine Chapel hold some of the world's most precious works of art, but it is also still used for religious purposes such as the Papal Conclave - the process through which a new Pope is chosen.

Accessibility

People with wheelchair disabilities get free entry. The Vatican Museums offer free wheelchair hire from the cloakroom.

The Vatican Museums offer free tickets for visitors with mobility impairments (with certified disability exceeding 74%). Additionally, in the case of visitors lacking in self-sufficiency, free entry is extended to their companions.

Certification of disability must be shown before the issue of the entrance tickets either at the Reception or at the Special Permits Desk, located in the entrance hall of the Vatican Museums.

This experience is not accessible by pram/strollers.

Please note the chosen time must be respected and latecomers will not be accommodated.

Please be dressed appropriately. Sleeveless blouses, miniskirts, shorts, and hats are not permitted. Your head, knees, and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. Comfortable shoes are recommended. We recommend you carry a shawl or a scarf to cover your head.

Audio guides can be rented inside the Museums and are charged.

The tour assistants will help you enter the Vatican Museums and our services will end with the ticket delivery at the entrance (lobby) of the Museums.

There is a security check at the entrance of the Vatican Museum.

Adding external guides is not allowed.

Please follow the hosting instructions inside the Vatican Museums. Not complying with these will lead to ticket cancellations.

Please be aware that during the Jubilee Year, certain areas of the Vatican Museums may be inaccessible due to religious ceremonies. Additionally, entrance to St. Peter's Basilica may also experience unannounced closures.

The Sistine Chapel will close early on the following dates in January 2026, as follows:

January 3, 2026: Closes at 2pm (last entry 1pm)

January 9, 2026: Closes at 2pm (last entry 1pm)

January 10, 2026: Closes at 1pm (last entry 12pm)

The Vatican Museums will remain open as usual on all these dates.

The Vatican Museums reserve the right to close any section, including the Sistine Chapel, due to unforeseen circumstances. The closure of any museum section does not entitle visitors to any refund.

Note: Michelangelo’s Last Judgement will undergo maintenance until March 2026. While the Sistine Chapel remains open, views of the fresco may be partially obstructed by scaffolding.
